Job Requirements:

• BCom (Accounting or Financial Management) degree.
• CA(SA) qualification will be advantageous.
• Minimum 5 years’ financial experience, with demonstrated exposure to mining industry financial reporting and tax compliance.
• Sound knowledge of IFRS (International Financial Reporting Standards).
• Extensive tax knowledge and experience across all South African taxes, including Mining Income Tax, Mining Royalty Tax, VAT, PAYE, Carbon Tax, and related legislation.
• Experience in practical financial management at both operational and group reporting levels.

Purpose of the Role:

• To provide a comprehensive financial accounting, statutory reporting, and tax compliance function, ensuring accuracy, regulatory compliance, and timely delivery across all reporting cycles in support of the finance team.

KEY RESPONSIBILIES

• Maintain and monitor FICO processes, resolving system errors and ensuring data accuracy.
• Support month-end and year-end SAP activities and financial reporting systems.
• Develop and enhance SAP queries and Power BI reports to meet business needs.
• Lead and support system projects and process improvements (incl. SAP S/4HANA).
• Coordinate system integrations and interface solutions across Group Parts systems.
• Act as a key liaison between business, IS and external service providers.
• Provide business support, user training and audit compliance for financial systems

REQUIREMENTS

Minimum Qualifications:

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Information Systems or related field
• A post-graduate qualification in Finance, Accounting, Business Management would be advantageous

Experience:

• 3–5 years’ experience in business systems and financial processes.
• SAP certification (FI – Finance, MM – Materials Management, MD- Master Data, SD – Sales Distributor, EWM – Extended Warehouse Management, S/4HANA) and/or SQL advantageous.
• Power BI experience
• SQL for Data Analysis experience
