    Specialist Unbranded Channel

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Drive revenue and customer growth through the usage of Vodacom’s Products and Services across the unbranded channels within a geographical area.
    • Manage and maintain the relationship with respective trade and channel partners, the internal organisation, and suppliers. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Manage the unbranded channel stores (NC/WH/AD’s/Informal stores) within a geographical location
    • First line escalation from trade partners (customer queries) – ECLO
    • Manage field marketing agency by ensuring operational compliance and excellence – retail pricing compliance, comparative pricing reporting, availability of stock, updated deals, campaigns & branding
    • Achieving specific sales and customer service targets and objectives aligned to the unbranded regional strategy.
    • Stakeholder relationships across national chains, wholesalers, alternative distributors and informal trade partners.
    • Identify partnerships and collaborations to drive sales through brand and product awareness.
    • Implement the distribution strategy within the Unbranded Channels space.

    Key Responsibilities

    • To implement the Unbranded Channel strategy and roadmap, to ensure maximum sales return and exposure.
    • Attention and focus to be given to unbranded channels including National Chains, Wholesalers, Alternative distributors, spazas, traders, street hawkers, etc., mainly within the informal market.
    • Establish and maintain relationships with informal traders and spaza operators on behalf of Vodacom to enable improved understanding and establish greater understanding of evolving consumer trends and behaviours.
    • Ensure implementation and success of new products and services and identify opportunities to drive product awareness.
    • Measure, Analyse and Report on a monthly basis on key activities, findings, learnings and areas of improvement and identify opportunities to improve sales and service that will positively impacts revenues, market share and customer experience.
    • Create a monthly call cycle that outlines the store visits of both NC and informal stores, including partnership meetings on a monthly basis.
    • Accountable for Vodacom’s KPI’s (revenue, base, market share, usage) in the designated locations and geographies.
    • Manage & maintain relationship with trade partners end to end as first point of call/escalation, hence driving the acquisition, retention, and customer experience targets.
    • Identify strategic opportunities to maximize profitability for area of responsibility. Liaise with the regional marketing team to facilitate promotions, presence branding and recommend ATL marketing opportunities within the area under care.
    • To drive gross adds and VABS efficiencies in the Unbranded channel.
    • To identify and recruit new business partners as per channel strategy, in order to increase distribution coverage.
    • Implement and manage recovery plans for underperforming towns and stores.
    • Manage third party outsource relationships to deliver on the Vodacom KPIs as per SLAs and proactively manage the development and implementation of the sales strategy, projects and general management, e.g., MSI.
    • Monitor competitor activities and ensure gap closure through the development of competitor activity plans.
    • Knowledge transfer - impart Knowledge transfer, P&P, campaigns, deals, trade bulletins to store staff.
    • Provide insights for effective analysing for improvement of TNPS across Retail touchpoints and ENPS for the Region
    • Implement people transformation initiatives in third parties
    • Analyse, resolve and feedback on all regional customer issues.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Matric / Grade 12, and
    • 3 year commercial/marketing/sales diploma or degree (NQF 6 or higher) or SAQA accredited equivalent with 
    • 3-5 years relevant experience (essential)
    • Relevant experience in small business development, marketing or sales
    • Experience within Retail or Business environment with exposure to Projects implementation, monitoring, commercial & performance management, and stakeholder management (advantageous).
    • Work experience in the telecommunications industry (advantageous)
    • Driver’s License EBO – Essential
    • Own vehicle (Essential)

    Account Manager

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To oversee and manage customer relationships of the large enterprise customers/key accounts, leveraging of our products and solutions to address the customer needs.
    • Enables the solution delivery through collaborating with internal and external stakeholders with the objective to defend and grow the base. Drives and delivers sales targets, customer experience and commercial objectives of the portfolio through sales discipline and practice of account planning, pipeline and opportunity management

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Sales & Stakeholder Management

    • Primary owner of all customer relationship building and engagements in the designated portfolio
    • Proactively mitigates and defends the base while driving portfolio revenue growth
    • Develop a healthy, productive and respectful relationship with all key customers/ stakeholders based on integrity and professionalism.
    • Acquire a thorough understanding of key customer needs and requirements, to provide relevant and value adding solutions to deepen the relationship and service offerings
    • Uphold sales best practice of accurately documenting sales plans, account development plans (ADP), engagement plans, tracking and monitoring sales conversions and implementation
    • Develop a pipeline of prospects which are systematically qualified, managing the decision-making process within allocated accounts to ensure sales prospects are closed.
    • Own escalated customer complaints for the portfolio and collaborate with the relevant internal stakeholders to ensure they are closed to cultivate trust and delight our customers.
    • To support finance in recovering overdue and non-payment by clients.
    • Ensure the correct products and services are delivered to customers in a timely manner as per the customer needs and objectives.
    • Serve as the link of communication between key customers and internal teams to ensure both proactive and reactive engagements are managed seamless.
    • Play an integral part in generating new sales that will turn into long-lasting relationships.
    • Clearly communicate the progress of monthly/quarterly initiatives to internal and external stakeholders

    Reporting

    • Prepare monthly/ Weekly Run Rate and Demand Management
    • Perform Sales Analysis by product
    • Annual Sales Strategy & Budget Planning
    • Prepare regular reports of progress and forecasts to internal and external stakeholders using key account metrics.
    • Forecast and track key account metrics
    • Prepare reports on account status, give recommendations to maximize sales as per the identifying trends, gaps and opportunities. (Strategic Account Plan / Joint Account Planning)

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • B Degree/Equivalent
    • A Post Graduate Degree advantageous
    • A minimum of 3+ years’ (Account Manager) OR 5+ years’ (Senior Account Manager) work experience in a Sales and Service experience in the telecommunications or technology related environments e.g. (ICT) with demonstrated experience in:
    • Portfolio management
    • Ability to increase NPS results and reduce administrative expense
    • Ability to build relationships
    • A valid driver’s licence

    Technical Competencies

    • Experience in solution selling within enterprise customers
    • Deep understanding of the customer’s business, it’s market and industry alongside key decision-makers and influencers in account organisation
    • Ability to translate customer’s objectives and strategy into relevant Vodacom Business propositions

    Specialist Unified Comms

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Specialist function focusing on Unified communications, audio visual and video conferencing.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Technical Operations

    • Manage AVVC infrastructure in meeting rooms, boardrooms, and collaboration spaces, across Vodacom estate
    • Monitor system performance and proactively resolve issues to ensure high availability and quality.
    • Troubleshoot hardware and software issues across various platforms and devices.
    • Generate monthly performance reports supported by data-driven insights

    Support & Troubleshooting

    • Provide Tier 2/3 support for AVVC-related incidents and service requests.
    • Collaborate with service desk and infrastructure teams to resolve escalated issues.
    • Liaise with end-users to manage requests, expectations and customer experience.

    Project Delivery

    • Lead / participate in AVVC-related projects including upgrades, new deployments, testing and integrations.
    • Vendor management and coordination for AV installations and maintenance.
    • Document system configurations, procedures, and user guides.

    Governance & Compliance

    • Ensure AVVC systems comply with corporate security and data protection policies.
    • Maintain asset inventory and lifecycle management of AVVC equipment.
    • Operational Excellence: Implement PPPs to ensure compliance with IT best practises and Compliance with standards -ITIL, ISO 27002

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 3 year Diploma or Degree in IT, Telecommunications, or related field
    • 3-5 years experience in AV and video conferencing technologies
    • Certification in MCSE/MCITP, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, or Cisco advantageous
    • Experience with AV control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron), digital signage, and room scheduling solutions.
    • 2 years Leadership experience (Essential
    • 3-5 years experience in AV and video conferencing technologies
    • Certifications in MCSE/MCITP, Microsoft Teams Rooms, Zoom, or Cisco (advantageous)
    • Experience with AV control systems (e.g. Crestron, Extron), digital signage, and room scheduling solutions. (advantageous)

    Core competencies, knowledge, and experience:

    • Strong understanding of AV signal flow, networking, unified communications and various IT architectures and platforms
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
