    Junior Graphic Designer

    Your role would include the following:

    • Designing five marketing newsletters a week, using our internally developed newsletter system
    • Sharing newsletters internally and collating feedback from various teams
    • Being responsible for checking that all links and information are correct and up to date as per the plan
    • Doing final and punctual checks that all specials and promotions are live and available, before sending the mailer each weekday morning
    • Setting out a schedule for building and designing mailers to allow time for approvals from other teams
    • Designing homepage marketing banners using an internally developed system
    • Remaining on top of trends within the industry and medium
    • Supporting the rest of our Design team, learning from them and collaborating with them on other projects as needed

    • At least 1 years’ experience in design, preferably with a retail background (please attach portfolio)
    • Skilled user of Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
    • Tertiary qualification at a design school is preferable.

    E-commerce Buying Administrator

    Who we’re looking for

    We’re looking for a full-time E-commerce Buying Administrator to join our Buying Team. If you’re looking for a role working alongside our dynamic Omnichannel buying team in delivering exciting new products to market, then this is for you!

    What your role looks like

    Taking direction from our Merchandising Manager, you’ll spend the bulk of your time sourcing the relevant information from our suppliers to list a new product which meets Yuppiechef's high standards

    You will work between our category buyers & Web teams by facilitating our in-depth Product Listing process, by interacting with Suppliers in sourcing all relevant info to allow a product to ‘go live’ on our sales platforms.  You will also assist the buyers with admin-related tasks to improve team capacity.

    This is a highly analytical role that requires a keen eye for detail! Obsessing about obtaining the perfect info will be key in making sure you are successful in this role.

    Who you’ll be working with

    You will be paired with a category buyer allowing you to gain key product knowledge and support a buyer in building ranges. We are a high-pressure team working towards strict deadlines but with a love for cool products and having fun while doing what we do best! We are a trendy bunch with an eye out for the next ‘cool’ thing!

    We’re also into things like pets, gin, coffee, series and cake (basically any and all baked goods).

    Who you are

    This is an entry-level role. You should have experience and a proven track record in an admin based supporting role. You have a passion for retail and a keen interest in e-commerce. You are a systems nerd looking to always improve the way we do things! You have high attention to detail and obsess about the little things! Anything less than 100% does not compute for you!

    This is an entry-level position and there will be plenty of opportunities to learn from others — this excites you. You are a good communicator (both in-person and asynchronously over email or chat), work well both autonomously and collaboratively, and enjoy honing your technical skills.     What experience and skills you need for the role

    Experience:

    • You have experience working in an admin role with a good understanding of financial or stock processes.
    • Experienced with Excel, Google Cloud applications, Amazon Airtable.
    • Hard-working, resourceful, self-motivated, detailed, and responsible.
    • Extremely organized and able to multitask (you will be managing over 400 listings at times).
    • Fast learner, assertive and has a lot of common sense when given instructions.
    • Inventive and proactive in designing and implementing new processes to continually streamline the department and suggest new ideas on a regular basis.
    • Advantageous: At least one year working in an eCommerce retail environment or in a similar role.

    Qualifications:

    • Required: Relevant work experience in an office environment
    • Advantageous: If you happen to have a tertiary qualification in English, communication, copywriting or journalism.

    Financial Controller (Edison Stone)

    What your role looks like

    This role is part of a closely interlinked team that has built processes to deliver excellence in a high volume environment.   You will be responsible for ensuring our day to day processing activities meet the targets that we set as a team and in compliance with our internal controls and requirements.  Your administration skills and a keen sense of organisation and detail orientation will be tested as our volume of supplier invoices and credits increase.   

    You will be responsible for:

    • Full Debtors Function (Statements & Recons)
    • Marketing Orders Expense Journals
    • Invoicing to International Brands
    • Monthly Supplier Reconciliations
    • Capturing Expense Invoices
    • Xero Bank Recons
    • Forex Payments
    • Monthly Sales Agents Commission
    • Monthly Fixed Asset Management (Depreciation & Tagging)
    • Stock Costings
    • Monthly Journals

    • This role would suit someone with 2+ years experience in a financial accounting role with an accounting or bookkeeping qualification having been achieved. 
    • Account Payable experience is essential
    • Knowledge of stock supplier reconciliations, invoices and credit notes is essential 
    • Previous experience in roles that requires extensive and accurate administration

    Skills:

    • Extensive accounting software experience with a desire to understand the why and how of the software’s operations. 
    •  High computer literacy (Adv Mac usage) and Excel skills. 
    •  Strong written and verbal communication skills
    • A high level of financial "intuition" with an ability to quickly and accurately identify issues and patterns.
