    Procurement Manager - Nigel

    PURPOSE OF THE JOB:

    • Representative of procurement on Site as member of the Site Management Committee: relays to Procurement/Site any information or decision that could impact respective activities such as organizational changes, supplier difficulties, local/global instructions, Make or Buy decisions.
    • Liaise between Procurement Function and Site operational members
    • Support tender preparation by supervising procurement cost commitment preparation
    • Support project execution by managing suppliers QCD performances

    TEAM FACILITATION AND MANAGEMENT :

    • Secures compliance of its team to the Alstom code of Ethics
    • Ensure team animation in close link with Cluster/ Country Procurement Directors
    • Manage and develop procurement manager, Procurement Project Manager (PPM), Procurement Tender Manager (PTM), senior Buyer and Buyer
    • Motivate, inspire and continuously develop his team in a multicultural interface to improve competencies
    • Close link with Global Procurement (Commodity Manager (CM), Domain Director (DD)) to deploy Global strategies and have synergies
    • Welcome the new resources, manages their local integration, and is responsible for their coaching by their senior colleagues
    • Applies & support Alstom Transport Procurement rules, process & tools
    • Management of its cost center, ensure the adequate sizing of his/her organization according to the business needs

    PROCUREMENT PERFORMANCE :

    • Applies & support Alstom Procurement Golden rules, process & tools
    • Bring Procurement expertise to support local buyer team
    • Challenge global sourcing (Commodity Manager (CM) / Commodity Director (CD) to secure project execution and profitability in escalation phase
    • Drive continuous improvement within whole local buyer team through APSYS Procurement
    • Manage Supplier Local QCD performances
    • Perform regular (min. Monthly) supplier QCD performance, solves major issues and secure objectives achievement

    PROJECT EXECUTION AND PROFITABILITY:

    • Support local team to face commercial and contractual negotiation during project execution phase
    • Challenge site stakeholders (engineering, supply chain, quality...) to secure project execution and profitability
    • Track procurement performance in project and issue action plan in case of deviation
    • Analyses risks and sets appropriate mitigation plan
    • Formalize and share return on experience on main issues

    OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE & CASH FOCUS:

    • Support supply chain to monitor and secure raw material inventory and OTIF objectives
    • Support quality on Non-Conformities Report (NCR) treatment and improvement, Cost of Non-Quality (CONQ) S1 management
    • Support accounting department to align on invoice accounting and payable days
    • Participate actively on industrial continuous improvement

    • Non-Conformities Report and On Time Delivery / CONQ S1 & coverage from Procurement

    CANDIDATE REQUIREMENTS

    EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS/DESIRED KNOWLEDGE/EXPERIENCE & BEHAVIOUR

    • National Diploma in Purchasing or equivalent. BS or BA in Purchasing, Finance, Economics, Accounting, Engineering, Information Technology or other business-related field.
    • Minimum 5-7 years of experience in Procurement, or same/similar Industry work experience (e.g., quality/engineering/costing/ etc).
    • Procurement professional background and/or Quality /supply chain/technical background.
    • Solid working experience, with sourcing/supply chain exposure (manufacturing / automotive / rail industries preferred), with at least 3 years in management

    Buyer - Nigel

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

    • Support Sourcing Manager in leading the team
    • Play in leading role in Sourcing Projects (RFx) supporting the Buyer
    • To execute day-to-day buying at a specific region and ensure that purchasing transactions are directed through the correct procure-to-pay channel (e.g., emergency order vs pre-sourced order).
    • Integrated in each domain team, the Buyer will deploy commodity strategy to serve local requirements while keeping in line with the Global Strategy at Central (ALSTOM)
    • The Lead Buyer will also be required to manage the contractual relationship with suppliers. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES:

    SET UP FULL SUPPLIER SELECTION PROCESS

    • Prepare and launch of Request for Quotation with suppliers
    • Lead project negotiation
    • Monitor Procurement project QCDT & legal project evolution (FAI, Business Award, Product development)
    • Ensure work package sheet commitment respect
    • Prepare Business Award
    • Promote the Alstom Code of Ethics and adhering to the highest standards of ethical conduct.

    SUPPORT COMMODITY STRATEGY

    • Consolidate the commodity needs, inputs
    • Participate actively to commodity strategy and panel elaboration
    • Provide imputes to build differentiation
    • Support of Commodity Manager in tender phase
    • Represent the commodities towards projects, platforms and solutions.
    • Ensure effective teamwork with internal customers and stakeholders in problem solving
    • Apply the Alstom Procurement process and provide return on experience.

    BUILD SUPPLIER RELATIONSHIP

    • Support global supplier panel relationship
    • Manage specific supplier panel relationship (negotiation, specific agreement, local supplier QCDT performances)
    • Measure the supplier's performance and develop them in coordination with supplier Quality Team
    • Assess properly all risky suppliers and manage the associated mitigation plan
    • Manage initial issues before escalation to line manager
    • Monitor Corporate Social Responsibility engagements and deviations
    • Respect Alstom code of ethics and guidelines

    Data Analyst x2 - Johannesburg

    Key Responsibilities

    Technical Support Function

    • Assure the technical support to the projects to support turnaround time unblocking commercial service and time-to-repair
    • Propose innovative solutions and implements Services solutions in the maintenance projects
    • Analyse the technical performance of the systems and the efficiency of the maintenance plan and processes, promoting action plans to improve them.
    • Search for improvement actions in maintenance operations, performing engineering interface activities with Operations Engineers (depot support)
    • Analyse failure criticality studies and uses RCM (Reliability Centre Maintenance) and other available methodologies to define and optimise the maintenance requirements, tasks and intervals.
    • Analyse and integrates data coming from Operations (Return on Experience).

    Data Analyst Function

    • Provide Training both Product and Maintenance to support TSSSA Business
    • Fleet analysis: Logs, events, and incidences analysis to define/coordinate corrective actions to take.
    • Analyse in real time events & faults from the fleet (using for instance train tracer CFM, Maintenance Box, and any other available source of data, such as track tracer, catenary tracer…) to identify appropriated generic design problem and specific fleet or infra-structure defects.
    • Creation of different reports (contractual/technical. Etc.) to explain incidents.
    • Creation of analytics reports using available tools (Tableau, …).
    • Support the improvement of the diagnosis tool (CFM, HealthHub, Track Tracer) and all future tools.
    • Cooperate in the in the organization of the corrective maintenance both in depot and the stations.
    • Cooperation in the implementation and development of new tools to monitor new subsystems and improve the effectiveness of the tasks done in the depot.
    • Verify the correct execution of the maintenance plan, proposing improvements.
    • Test different elect mechanical components.
    • Update KPIs.
    • Notify incidents that are likely to lead to Safety issues and Service Affecting in the fleet.
    • Quality, Environment, Safety and Health normative accomplishment.

    Minimum Requirements

    • BSc / B.Eng. Degree (in Electronics or Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering) with 2 Years relevant working experience in similar industry.
    • BTech/ Adv Dip (in Electronics or Mechatronics or Electrical Engineering) with 3 years relevant working experience in similar industry.
    • Registered or Registerable as a Professional Engineer/Technologist with ECSA
    • Knowledge of Prognostic Tools
    • ERP System knowledge SAP
    • Training as a trainer experience will be an added advantage

    Transportation Leader - Pretoria

    Key Responsibilities

    • Manage the planning and execution of transportation & logistics flows for the Site:
    • Document and maintain the Site transportation plan with routing guide covering all modes (road, express, oversize...) in collaboration with the Global Transportation team and its pillars (Overseas-TCTs, Regional-TCTs and Project Out-of-Gauge team) [BA3] [OM4]
    • See to it that transportation requests and bookings are anticipated and planned in accordance with defined cut-off times
    • Ensure material is prepared and ready on time for dispatch and that shipments status are up-to-date in the information system
    • See to it that shipping documents are available (delivery notes, commercial invoice, certificate of origin, transport & customs documents…) remaining in constant contact with suppliers and customers
    • Make sure Purchase orders are open in line with budgets and forecasts, and monitor the approval in due time of invoices for transportation services
    • Solve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems, imports or exports, customs or customer issues; monitor non-conformities and non-compliance issues (emergency shipments, late cancellations, document issues…) and drive continuous improvement plans
    • Monitor product import or export processes to ensure compliance with regulatory or legal requirements
    • Maintain and sustain the Transportation performance scorecard both in terms of quality of the services and costs
    • You lead the Site shipment/expediting department and deploy the Transportation strategy:
    • Document requirements and specifications, actively participate in RFPs for transportation services and business awards in collaboration with Indirect Procurement
    • Express requirements and specifications with regards to IS&T tools and development
    • Participate in Suppliers Performance and Business reviews (monthly / quarterly per governance model)
    • Be the escalation point for operational issues raised by Internal Customers and Global Transportation department
    • Be the SPOC for Global TCTs and OOG teams with regards to process improvements or new projects :consolidate internal needs, arbitrate between priorities, liaise with Site stakeholders
    • Play the role of ambassador for the Global Transportation team in Site; coordinate or deliver trainings to the Sites teams (logistics and shipping teams, material planning, procurement, engineering…) on transportation management strategy, regulations, international trade and Incoterms…
    • You support the Global Transportation Performance management
    • Implement, maintain Services transport standard KPIs and ensure timely and accurate update of performance dashboard and reports
    • Understand reporting needs and design reports that provide stakeholders with accurate measurements of their business drivers
    • Monitor cost performance vs Budget of the site; identify cost drivers, analyze deviations and propose action plans
    • Design and implement a visual management process regularly updated
    • Maintain documentation of Transportation processes using Operational Excellence tools (VSM, SIPOC)
    • You facilitate the continuous improvement and transformation of the Transportation organization
    • Analyze performance, identify opportunities for improvement and propose corrective actions or improvement plans
    • Drive cost saving projects on transport routes and space usage on transport
    • Run network studies aimed at improving AT Transportation network, reducing Total Cost and Delivery lead-times
    • Develop REX and sharing best practices
    • Contribute with transportation cost models to Supply Chain TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) for end-to-end business cases and optimization of material flows
    • During Project implementation and Execution phases
    • Manage [BA5] or support (based on the RACI) the local transportation provider during project implementation and execution, including performance management
    • Monitor local project implementation : be part of the kick-off meetings, ensure documentation availability (invoice, packing list…),
    • Supervise loading/unloading operations (at site and/or depots)[BA6] [BA7]  for domestic or continental transportation
    • Actively support the transportation schedule to achieve contractual deliverables
    • Follow and manage priorities with Planners’ teams in case of overlaps of shipments dates across projects

    Minimum Requirements

    • Degree in international transport or supply chain
    • Minimum 5 years experience in a similar Supply Chain position
    • 3 to 5 years of ERP SAP Knowledge
    • Validated experience in logistics, 3PL management
    • Good understanding of customs regulations and procedures of site’s country
    • Knowledge of modern principles for efficient transportation management, and distribution control
    • Incoterms knowledge
