    Technical Writer and Editor

    Your key responsibilities include:

    • Undertake target audience analysis to determine the type of technical documentation that is required to be created
    • Determine the clearest and most logical way to present information for greatest reader comprehension.
    • Organise the collected information to create and edit documentation, videos or blogs for the user
    • Gather information about the product or service in question to understand how it works and the technology behind it
    • Generate innovative ideas for content and workflow solutions.
    • Meet with subject-matter experts to ensure specialized topics are appropriately addressed.
    • Analyze information required for the development or update of policy, procedure and form documentation.
    • Write content for other members of the team.
    • Review content developed by other members of the team.
    • Assess the content for clarity, accuracy, consistency and conciseness to ensure it is free of mistakes, easy to follow and up-to-date
    • Revise, review or modify documents prepared by others
    • Manage version control of documents.
    • Publish documents

    QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

    • Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism or a related field 
    • Master’s degree would be beneficial
    • Microsoft Office Suite familiarity is necessary

    EXPERIENCE

    • Minimum 3 - 5 years in position of editor or publisher;
    • 7 - 10 years experience in technical writing in a technical engineering environment or SAAS environment;
    • Workflow, training material development experience; 
    • Business and IT fluency;
    • Fluency in technical and common office software
    • Ability to pay attention to details
    • Written and oral communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a fast-paced environment
    • Willingness to take on new challenges and build on current skills

    Head Digital Payments

    Your key responsibilities include:

    • Drive digital transformation by leading innovation in crypto-based payments, stablecoins, CBDCs, and related blockchain solutions.
    • Develop and execute strategies for new digital payment platforms, ensuring scalability, security, and regulatory compliance.
    • Engage with industry stakeholders (banks, regulators, fintechs, and payment providers) to enhance collaboration and partnerships in digital payments.
    • Identify and assess disruptive technologies in payments, including smart contracts, DeFi (Decentralized Finance), and tokenized assets.
    • Lead initiatives in digital payments, ensuring alignment with evolving market trends and regulatory frameworks.
    • Improve profitability and efficiency through data-driven insights, automation, and digital innovation.
    • Advise on the strategic alignment of new partnerships and emerging financial technologies.
    • Develop policies and frameworks for managing risks related to digital assets, stablecoins, and blockchain-based transactions.
    • Manage and mentor a team to drive performance, innovation, and collaboration in digital payments.

    QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

    • Honour’s degree or equivalent in Finance, Economics, Business, or Digital Innovation.
    • 10+ years of experience in digital payments, blockchain, fintech, financial innovation, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Strong expertise in cryptocurrency, CBDCs, stablecoins, and blockchain-based financial systems.
    • Deep understanding of digital identity, open banking, and DeFi ecosystems.
    • Proven ability to drive financial transformation, innovation, and partnerships.
    • Experience engaging with regulators, central banks, and financial industry leaders.
    • Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and strategic decision-making skills.

    EXPERIENCE

    • Expertise in blockchain, stablecoins, CBDCs, and digital payments ecosystems.
    • Strong financial acumen with an ability to drive business profitability and efficiency.
    • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and strategic thinking skills.
    • Ability to navigate complex regulatory and compliance landscapes.

    Chief People Officer

    Key Responsibilities:

    People Strategy & Leadership

    • Develop and execute a Human Capital strategy aligned with BankservAfrica’s business objectives.
    • Participate as an active leader on the Executive Committee and across the overall business.

    Talent/Performance Management & Development

    • Oversee end-to-end talent acquisition, ensuring the organization attracts and retains top industry talent.
    • Lead workforce planning, talent management, and succession planning initiatives.
    • Drive leadership development programs and career growth opportunities for employees.
    • Implement learning and development (L&D) initiatives to build skills for the future of work.
    • Manage the development and implementation of a remuneration, benefits and rewards strategy

    Organizational Culture & Employee Experience

    • Lead culture and values work across the organisation.
    • Foster a high-performance culture with clear performance expectations and feedback mechanisms.
    • Champion employee engagement and well-being initiatives, including mental health and work-life balance programs.
    • Oversee employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary procedures.
    • Fulfil a business partnering role with Executives and line managers to ensure their commitment to the delivery of the people agenda and timeous implementation of actions required

    HR Operations, Compliance & Governance

    • Ensure compliance with labour laws, HR policies, and governance frameworks.
    • Develop, amend, review and implement relevant policies and procedures.
    • Oversee compensation & benefits strategies to remain competitive in the market.
    • Implement HR analytics and reporting to drive data-driven decision-making.
    • Develop and manage annual BU budget, forecasting, cost management, profitability and reporting
    • Develop relationship at Sub Board committee level 

    Digital Transformation & Future of Work

    • Leverage HR technology and automation to enhance efficiency and employee experience.
    • Develop appropriate work policies that balance flexibility with business needs.
    • Drive change management initiatives for seamless adoption of new processes and technologies.

    QUALIFICATIONS / KNOWLEDGE

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Labor Relations, Business Administration, Industrial Psychology, or a related field.
    • Postgraduate qualification in a relevant field would be advantageous.  
    • Professional certification in HR (e.g., SABPP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or equivalent) is a plus.
    • Understanding of all relevant labour legislation (LRA, BCEA, SDA, EEA, OHSA).
    • Knowledge of and ability to implement best practice HC systems and operations.

    EXPERIENCE

    • 10+ years of progressive HR leadership experience, with at least 5 years in an executive/strategic HR role.
    • Proven experience in developing and executing HR strategies that align with business objectives.
    • Strong background in organizational development, talent management, succession planning, and leadership development.
    • Experience in managing HR governance, compliance, and labour relations in a complex business environment.
    • Familiarity with HR technology, digital transformation, and data-driven decision-making.
    • Experience in the financial services, fintech, or payments industry.
    • Strong track record of driving culture transformation, diversity & inclusion initiatives, and employee engagement programs.
