    System Engineer - Cape Town

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Effectively managing and monitoring ICT systems and infrastructure to ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability
    • Planning, implementing, developing, upgrading and supporting IT business applications, ensuring they meet business requirements and operational needs, and contribute to the efficient delivery of services
    • Assisting with overseeing the day-to-day functioning of the ICT department with regards to routine daily support, maintenance & related administrative duties

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in a related field
    • Certification in MCSE, CompTIA Network, Security and/or Azure & AWS (advantageous)
    • 3 years’ experience in a Systems Administrator or Systems Engineer role

    Experience with the following:

    • network setup including VLAN and advanced routing, monitoring and administration
    • supporting various Microsoft Office packages
    • setting up and maintaining backup and recovery systems
    • installation, trouble shooting and conducting repairs on Windows Operating Systems
    • Windows Server environments
    • advanced Windows Management (AD, DHCP, DNS, NPS management)
    • Exposure to cloud-based hosting and backup services
    • Intermediate to advanced level of knowledge related to Networking
    • Practical knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks like ISO 27001 (advantageous)
    • Knowledge relating to computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals (advantageous)

    Regional Campaign Coordinator: Johannesburg

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Establishing and maintaining campaign structures with a focus on maintaining ongoing voter interaction and persuasion
    • Ensuring reliable feedback and reporting on progress from all political and staff structures
    • Ensuring clear internal communication between political and staff structures
    • Providing administrative assistance to the regional executive, constituencies and professional staff
    • Managing and monitoring the rollout of all elections including by-elections
    • Acting as the project manager of special campaigns or events
    • Designing, managing and implementing reporting systems, including reporting templates
    • Leading and managing the constituency coordinators to maximize the DA’s vote in the region, and overseeing performance in their constituencies

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent 
    • Tertiary qualification (advantageous)
    • Relevant staff management experience, including on project basis or completion of the Party’s Management Readiness Programme (applicable to internal candidates)
    • Experience in project management
    • Experience in financial management
    • Computer literacy, particularly MS Office Suite
    • Proficiency in more than one language
    • Valid driver’s license with access to a vehicle for daily use

    Constituency Coordinator: KwaZulu Natal - Ugu South

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Logistically supporting Party public representatives in their efforts to grow and keep DA support, advance the DA brand, properly run DA political structure and meet statutory obligations

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • National Senior Certificate or equivalent 
    • Tertiary qualification (advantageous)
    • Relevant experience which may include the following roles: field worker, community liaison, project coordinator, operations coordinator, field-related sales, field-related customer service or election/campaign-related role
    • Project management experience
    • Financial management experience
    • Proficiency in more than one language
    • Valid driver’s licence with access to a vehicle for daily use

    ICT Manager - Cape Town

    The successful candidate will be responsible for:

    • Ensuring that the organisation is provided with robust ICT resources and services to meet operational needs
    • Leading and directing the provision of technical support to staff and stakeholders regarding ICT facilities, applications, and services
    • Effectively managing and monitoring all ICT systems and infrastructure to ensure highest levels of systems and infrastructure availability and performance
    • Planning, implementing, developing, upgrading and subsequent support of all IT business applications to meet evolving business requirements and contribute to the efficient delivery of services

    Requirements

    Minimum requirements:

    • Tertiary qualification in Information Technology or related field
    • 5 years’ experience in IT support or similar roles
    • Relevant staff management experience, including on project basis or completion of the Party’s Management Readiness Programme (applicable to internal candidates)
    • Experience with supporting various Microsoft Office Suite, Windows Servers, Active Directory, and cloud-based solutions
    • A background in managing IT infrastructure and networks in a multi-site environment

    Advanced knowledge and experience with:

    • Windows Operating Systems (installation, issues, repairs)
    • Network setups, monitoring and administration
    • Windows Server environments
    • Cloud-based hosting and backup services
    • Advanced Active Directory management
    • Setting up and maintaining backup and recovery systems
    • Computer hardware systems, chipsets, memory modules and peripherals
    • Project management experience (advantageous)
    • Understanding of cyber security principles (advantageous)
    • Understanding of the requirements of the POPI Act in the workplace (advantageous)
    • Experience in administration of vPBX and dialer telephony software (advantageous)
    • Experience with Linux systems (advantageous)
