Qualifications and experience required:

• All requirements applicable as being appointed as a Police member into Regulation 11 of South African Police Amendment Act i.e. Matric or equivalent NQF4 qualification; no criminal conviction, has permanent residence in Republic of South Africa, is proficient in English, and
• A successfully completed prescribed Municipal Police qualification at an accredited Municipal Police Training facility; and
• Is registered as a Traffic Officer in terms of the Road Traffic Act; and
• NQF 6 (three years’ qualification) (i.e. ITO 3 or National Diploma in Municipal Policing or National Diploma in Traffic Safety Management or equivalent Policing qualifications).
• Computer literacy – Office applications.
• A valid Code B driver’s licence.
• Up to five years’ relevant supervisory experience in law enforcement, with at least three years on a managerial level.

Job purpose:

• Managing and coordinating all functions within one geographical area within the Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality with regard to the provision of traffic enforcement, by-law enforcement, crime prevention and ensuring effectiveness and efficiency of service delivery through the implementation of applicable strategies, plans and policies. 
• As part of the selection process, candidates may be tested on any requirement, skill or competency, which will include pre-employment screening, medical examination, security vetting and psychometric assessment.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Three-year Library and Information Science/Studies.
• Computer literacy.
• A sound general knowledge.
• Three years’ experience in a library environment. 

Key attributes and competencies:

• Physically fit and able-bodied. 
• As part of the selection process, the recommended candidate will be required to undergo a medical examination at the Municipality’s Occupational Health and Safety Division. 

Job purpose:

• Performing specific activities associated with the provision of library services to children and the promotion of library literacy.
• Attending to routine enquiries from users and the public, executing control procedures with respect to lending/returns and shelving, repairing damaged or defaced books and removing/preparing obsolete stock for return in order to ensure the laid down instructions and procedures are complied with, contributing to the accomplishment of service delivery objectives.

Qualifications and experience required:

• Qualified Artisan Bricklayer.
• Valid Code C1 (previously Code 10) driver’s licence with PrDP.

• Oral and written communication skills in English and at least one other official local language.

• Required to work outside normal working hours during emergencies and planned overtime.
• Must be physically fit, able-bodied and sober-minded. 

Job purpose:

• Performing tasks associated with supervising and controlling personnel undertaking tasks with minor roads, storm water construction and masonry/concrete work (brickwork, kerb-laying, laying of concrete foundations, slabs, trench reinstatement, pipe laying, etc.), identifying, communicating and applying contingency measures in accordance with instructions to minimise specific problems/defects, guiding personnel on routine operational activities and supporting specialist personnel with the execution of repair and maintenance sequences.
