    Ethics Specialist: (Fixed Term Contract- 5 Months)

    Minimum Qualifications and experience:

    • B-degree in Commerce/ Law, Corporate Governance/ Risk Management and Compliance or equivalent.
    • Ethics Officer Certification Program (EOCP) Accredited.
    • Experience in Ethics and compliance in the financial services industry
    • Over 5 years relevant experience

    Duties:

    • Provide input into the revision of ethics related policies to align with codes of ethics and/or conduct within the PIC.
    • Assist the Head: Ethics Office in the implementation of ethics related policies, with particular attention to the record-keeping, analysis and evaluation of policies related to Gifts and entertainment, Conflicts of interest and due diligence, Extra-remunerative work, Code of
    • Ethics, Anti-bribery and Anti-Corruption Policy and Whistleblower Policy.
    • Design and implement ongoing learning and awareness programs on the Code of Ethics and
    • Ethics Related Policies to effect behavioral change within the PIC.
    • Ensure ethical decision making is embedded in key processes.
    • Provide guidance and advice to employees, management and the board on ethics-related issues.
    • Ensure implementation and monitoring of consequence management of ethics related cases.
    • Implement the ethics communication strategy with the assistance of the communications team.
    • Provide advisory and safe reporting (‘speak – up’ or whistle blowing) facilities.
    • Coordinate and implement ethics opportunity and risk assessments (ERAs).
    • Identify and report on unethical behavior and corrupt activities.
    • Assist the wider PIC In driving an ethical culture through collaboration with HR, Risk and other inter-related departments.
    • Conduct ethics assessments on reported unethical conduct.
    • Contribute to defining scope of investigations and identify ethical breaches post conclusion of investigations.

    Ethics and Reputational Risk Assessments

    • Conduct Ethics and Reputational Risk Assessments in relation to Investment Transactions.
    • Present the assessment outcomes at various governance forums.

    Monitoring and reporting:

    • Ensure monitoring adherence to ethical standards and compliance with regulations and guidelines.
    • Ensure development and maintenance of confidential procedures and systems required for effective handling of allegations related to ethics.
    • Ensure prompt investigations pursuant to complaints and allegations of ethical misconduct.
    • Provide regular reports and updates as instructed by the Head: Ethics Office.
    • Compile Ethics related reports for submission to PIC Committees

    Data Analyst (Re-Advertisement)

    Requirements:

    • Bachelors’ Degree in Information Technology, Management Information Systems,Computer Science, Computer Engineering or similar.
    • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in data analytics, data engineering or analytics role, with at least 4 years’ experience in a financial services institution.
    • Understanding of asset management and investment data domains, including securities, financial instruments, indices and related market and benchmark data. 
    • Strong understanding of logical and physical data modelling concepts, principles and practices including implementation in relational and cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Azure Synapse, Databricks).
    • Demonstrated experience using data analysis and transformation tools such as T‑SQL and
    • Python and working within a modern cloud-based analytics ecosystem leveraging platforms such as Microsoft Fabric (including Dataflows / Data Factory, Lakehouse) and Azure analytics services.

    Duties:

    • Conduct data profiling, validation, cleansing, and transformation to ensure data integrity and quality across the analytics lifecycle.
    • Apply logical and physical data modelling principles to support analytics, reporting, and reusable data assets within relational and cloud-based platforms.
    • Design, develop and maintain high-quality dashboards and reports through Power BI within
    • Microsoft Fabric, ensuring accuracy, clarity and alignment to business objectives.
    • Identify and apply appropriate advanced analytics, automation and AI‑enabled capabilities to enhance data products, reporting efficiency and insight generation.
    • Provide technical guidance, review work outputs and support the development of junior data analysts to ensure consistent quality, adherence to standards and effective delivery of data analytics.
    • Engage with business stakeholders to gather, analyse, and document reporting and analytics requirements.
    • Lead the support and ongoing management of data feeds and market data services (e.g., JSE,
    • Bloomberg, Iress, LSEG, MSCI, etc.) ensuring data availability and effective integration into PIC environment.
    • Provide guidance in the adoption and effective implementation of analytics, reporting and data platform technologies, tools and standards, ensuring solutions are fit‑for‑purpose, scalable, and aligned to enterprise architecture and governance principles.
    • Apply data quality assurance practices across analytics solutions and support continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Produce and maintain high-quality technical documentation for data solutions including data source-to-target mappings, logical and physical data models, data dictionaries and transformation rules, report and semantic model specifications.
    • Support data governance initiatives through collaboration with Data Owners, Stewards, and Governance structures.
    • Contribute to delivery planning and prioritisation of analytics initiatives.

    Ethics Officer: (Fixed Term Contract- 12 Months)

    Minimum Qualifications and experience:

    • B-degree in Commerce/ Law, Corporate Governance/ Risk Management and Compliance or equivalent.
    • 1-2 years of experience in ethics, compliance, risk, audit or related role.
    • Experience in financial services or a regulatory environment is highly advantageous

    Duties:

    Ethics Risk Assessment Support:

    • Assist senior ethics specialists in performing, implementing, and monitoring ethics risk and opportunity assessments.

    Policy & Process Support:

    • Assist in the implementation, maintenance, and communication of the PIC's Code of Ethics and related policies.

    Declarations and Validations Management:

    • Assist in the administrative process of managing employee conflict of interest disclosures and other ethical declarations.
    • Administer the process for gifts, hospitality, and other benefits declarations from staff, ensuring compliance with policy.
    • Conduct initial reviews and validation of conflicts of interest disclosures submitted by employees, escalating complex cases.

    Investment Ethics Support:

    • Provide direct support in ethics and reputational risk assessments during the due diligence phase of investment reviews.
    • Assist in the screening of potential investments against the PIC's Code of Ethics and ethics related policies.
    • Contribute to the maintenance of ethical risk metrics and reporting on screening outcomes for management.

    Advisory Support:

    • Provide preliminary advice on ethics matters to employees, escalating complex issues to an Ethics Specialist or Head of Ethics.

    Training & Awareness:

    • Support the coordination and administration of ethics training programs and awareness initiatives.

    Reporting Assistance:

    • Contribute to the drafting and preparation of reports on ethics management activities for governance committees.
