    Fitter and Turner - Durban Rice Plant

    Responsibilities

    • Job Overview:As a fitter you will be required to perform preventive, predictive, corrective and emergency/breakdown maintenance. Reduce breakdown and perform repairs within strict budget constraints. Perform callout and standby on a rotational basis shared with members of the maintenance team. Be able to work independently and under pressure. Comfortable working in a team to achieve maximum plant efficiency.
    • Fitter and turner's roles include fabricating, assembling and installing machinery components.
    • Maintenance and repairs on various machines.
    •  Using technical skills to interpret blueprints, measure materials and operate tools like lathes and milling machines.
    • Identify the root cause of mechanical faults and troubleshoot issues during operation.
    •  Use hand tools like files, chisels and grinders to make fine adjustments to parts for a perfect fit.
    • Perform alignment of v belt pulleys, chains and couplings. Always maintaining/improving safety standards.

    Qualifications

    • Matric.
    • Mechanical Trade Test certificate.
    • 5 years’ experience (FMCG experience will be an added advantage).
    • Must also possess welding knowledge.

    DC Controller - PepsiCo Park CDC Snacks

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    • Inventory Management – responsible for managing inventory levels in the DC and ensuring that stock levels are maintained. Includes ensuring orders are placed for items running low on weeks cover with the customer’s Replenishment Planner. 
    • Order Fulfilment – Involvement in the co-ordination of fulfilment of orders – aligning recovery dates and when orders are placed. Ensuring PO’s are still valid and have not fallen off customer system.  Feedback to the business for orders rejected and the reasons thereof, missed deliveries and the communication thereof.
    • Reporting – daily report on KVI lines and days of cover and when the next order is coming in to ensure KVI lines are always well stocked.
    • Promotional activity – a month’s forward view on promotional lines and adequate stock to support promotions and call out any risk SKUs that are on upcoming promotion with low stock levels and recovery after promotion has broken

    Achievement of Sales Targets:

    Supply Chain Control Manufacturing Analyst (Temporary) - Cape Town HQ

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    General

    Monitor inbound and manufacturing elements of the I2C and P2P cycle to ensure:

    • Effective execution and adherence to PepsiCo inventory policy and related procedures
    • Identification of financial risks and opportunities including effective resolution thereof
    • Operational challenges include root cause analysis and related problem solving with CoMan and PepsiCo management
    • Execute product costing process to support new product development decision making process for manufactured finished goods.
    • Monitor CoMan Operations including independent site visit reviews

    COGS

    Governance & Business Partnering

    Assist and support the manufacturing Analyst to deliver functional mid-month and month-end pre-close meetings with Supply Chain and Procurement Leadership, specifically:

    • COGS (MOH & Directs) performance and key drivers
    • PPV reviews including identification of key drivers
    • Execute manufacturing related key control testing and key team member supporting effective PepsiCo governance within the I2C, P2P and FR processes
    • Support Manufacturing Analyst with predefined P&L and Balance Sheet related accounts regarding completeness, accuracy and related actions stemming from formal reviews
    • Independent and oversight validation of CoMan inventory and related billings prior to payment

    Qualifications

    Senior Brand Manager: Lays - Cape Town HQ

    Responsibilities

    What we’re looking for:

    • Brand Management: Responsible for the Lay’s brand, encompassing marketing and commercial responsibility. Leading the cross functional team. Role modelling the Pepsico values whilst always driving collaboration across multiple internal stakeholders and External stakeholders. Leading Agency & Creative Management by overseeing vendors and agencies and creative process. Influences the scope of work development, creative evaluation and feedback. Drive with agency the media plan development and assessment; Research understanding, evaluation and plan development. Work in partnership with Insights team to unearth killer actionable insights to grow and accelerate the Lay’s brand.
    • Strategic planning: working closely with Sector Marketing, ensure a brand strategy for 3-5 years is clearly laid out and revised at the beginning of each business cycle
    • Brand Calendar: Shape and prioritize Lays’ 24-month calendar and 360 campaigns

    • Performance management: Master knowledge and understanding on performance drivers and performance against key KPIs on brand health, penetration, shares, distribution, volume etc., executing a plan of actions to accelerate performance.
    • Innovation: Evolve portfolio through innovation and renovation projects, collaboratively work with Commercial /Sales/ Manufacturing/R&D and other teams to prioritize, commercialize and deliver projects. Collaborate with NRM to recommend pricing strategy and price pack architecture business case development to effect brand growth. Identify new opportunities; set outgrowth ambition assumptions & business case building. Ensure that Lay’s innovative delivery is on time and in full, with impact across all key consumer touchpoints. Build longer-term innovation pipeline partnering with R&D.
    • Strategy Planning: ensure alignment with Sector on the 5 years strategic planning, leveraging the most relevant Global work
    • Business Planning/AOP - Own and drive Lays’ Planning for Agility initiatives including owning key Snacking occasions moments (cultural, retailer events, calendar etc.) across the year.
    • Social strategy and execution: Collaborate with partner agency to develop & execute Lays’ Social strategy including tone of voice and content calendar across the year (local creations)
    • A&M Budget Management: Responsible for A&M budgets, raising CE’s and supplying agencies with PO’s.

    Qualifications

    What will qualify you for the role:

    • 8 – 10 years’ experience, preferably within FMCG
    • 3 year tertiary Marketing qualification - Diploma / Degree minimum
