    Key Accounts Manager - Humansdorp

    Key Performance Areas:

    • The successful candidate will report to the National Channel Manager and will be based in Johannesburg.
    • The job holder will primarily be responsible for the management & key account role for the retail channel group. Playing a strategic role by dealing with National & regional buyers; DC role players; maintaining and growing relationships is a critical aspect of the job.
    • The incumbent will drive sales to achieve company objectives, sales volumes and pricing targets across the basket of products.  
    • Other performance areas include interfacing with the regional teams; sales & sales agents to ensure that our products are effectively distributed & merchandised to improve forward share and achieve execution requirements.
    • Providing input and support to sales forecasting and logistical supply chain processes to ensure on time delivery is achieved; as well as compiling weekly and monthly feedback reports to business with supporting analysis and interpretation.

    Knowledge and skills:

    • The ideal candidate will have a relevant tertiary qualification.
    • A minimum of 5 years retail FMCG sales experience dealing with National & regional buyers at a senior level, with a successful track record of interaction with retail buyers will be required.
    • Key accounting, preferably with exposure to the retail channel group and a working knowledge of its operations and fundamental business principles will be advantageous.
    • The candidate must be willing to travel.
    • Be a highly skilled communicator and negotiator and ensure service excellence is executed at all times in a proactive manner.
    • The ability to work independently in a self-discipline manner to deliver operational and administrative sales objective is prerequisite.

    Area Sales Manager - Gqeberha

    Key Performance Areas:

    The successful candidate will be report to the Regional Sales Manager - PE

    • Primarily responsible for conducting sales reviews, assessing account performance, formulating promotional plans to meet or exceed set targets with all relevant sales teams.
    • Conduct promotional reviews and manage spends versus budgets and targets set as well as managing claims/ credit notes and sales forecasting per key account.
    • Monitor credit notes as per agreement, monitor pricing correctly at H/O, monitor strike rates to stores, check stock rotation as well as reporting all claims monthly.
    • Conduct weekly trade visits to allocated area and regular appointments with store managers, staff, and
    • merchandisers to build and maintain relationships.
    • Manage key accounts pertaining to their region

    Knowledge and Skills:

    • 3-year Sales and Marketing degree.
    • At least 3 years' experience in similar position.
    • The candidate must be willing to travel within the region.
    • Be a highly skilled communicator, negotiator and ensure customer service excellence is always executed in a proactive manner.
    • The ability to work independently in a self-disciplined manner and to deliver operational and administrative sales objectives timeously is a prerequisite.
