    CIC National Accounts Controller - Cape Town

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Analyses payments and identify short payments and disputes.
    • Reconcile differences and apply the payments to invoices.
    • Contact debtors for payments/outstanding amounts on accounts.
    • Send letters of demand (post reminders, follow-ups and final demands being sent out)
    • Manage the process of collections to legal action.
    • Conduct reconciliations once payment has been made.
    • Overdue greater than 60days handed over to legal.
    • Manage the claims process on discounts, returns, bottles and stock corrections.
    • Investigate validity of claim when a customer submits a complaint.
    • Handling of quality claims (e.g. glass in wine, open bottles, etc.)
    • Collecting information for reports on the claims and disputes that have been submitted
    • Identify repayment opportunities for accounts in default.
    • Repayment requests managed within a maximum 4-week period.
    • Longer than 4 weeks repayment referred to the legal controller.
    • Handed over to legal when defaults on arrangement.
    • Allocate payments received to open invoices.
    • Allocate payments as per remittance received.
    • Apply applicable discount as per term.
    • Maintain sound working relationship with stakeholders.
    • Build, support, and maintain healthy, diverse internal and external relationships to ensure achievement of organizational goals. 
    • Keep minutes of stakeholder meetings
    • Proactive risk identification, mitigation, and management

    EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Relevant tertiary qualification in Finance / Credit (Minimum)

    • Knowledge of and experience using automated debt collection solutions / software
    • SAP experience highly beneficial
    • Computer literate and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products, especially MS Excel

    Unit Manager - Sedibeng

    Key Responsibilities

    People Management and Development:

    • Prepare training needs analysis and develop training plans accordingly. Monitor that training delivers the expected results.
    • Ensure career development is in line with the strategic business needs.

    Plant and process operations:

    • Ensure formal failure analysis techniques are applied to recover in case of breakdowns (for instance, Breakdown Analysis, 5Why).
    • Ensures all Quality parameters are met.

    Programs and Systems:

    • Facilitate implementation of Company strategic programs (i.e., TPM).
    • Facilitate implementation of Company systems.

    Investments:

    • Together with the Packaging Manager develop capacity plans in order to cope with the future brewery’s requirements.
    • Propose investments in order to improve the quality of the supply; the continuity of operations; the capacity of the installations and/or the productivity of the lines.
    • Support the Technical Department in managing the implementation and installation of the investments.

    Planning:

    • Ensure adherence to production and packaging planning and deploys resources accordingly, in the most cost-effective way.
    • Ensure adequate stock of packaging and auxiliary materials is kept in order to secure continuity of operations.

    Budget:

    • Support the Production Manager in preparing the department budget, in terms of materials and human resources.
    • Monitor actual versus planned results and take effective measures in case of deviations.
    • Share results with team leaders in Packaging Department in order to have understanding and buy-in.
    • Ensures People budget (temp labour, overtime and other People related costs) is met.

    Job Requirements

    • Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering Degree or equivalent.
    • 3 years experience as a Departmental Manager in a food manufacturing environment or 5 years experience as a Team Leader in a food manufacturing environment.
    • Needs to have hands on experience with maintenance and breakdown activities. Actively able to drive problem solving.

    Process & Utilities Engineer - Stellenbosch

    Key performance areas include, but are not limited to: 

    Process Engineering: 

    • Responsible for the process analysis, design, implementation, and execution across the Adam Tas Cluster to ensure end-to-end efficient and optimal utilisation of resources. 
    • Mass & Energy Balances of all process to ensure accurate allocations and to track usage.

    • Conduct process capability and utilisation studies.  
    • Understand the manufacturing processes and technologies and work with maintenance and production teams relating to process capability and efficiency challenges. 
    • Work with project engineering and evaluate the impact of projects on current processes. 
    • Problem solving and technical guidance of the operational/maintenance teams. 
    • Develop and/or review detailed specifications for work to be placed on tender or quotation and recommend contractors to be used. 
    • Ensure compliance to OHSACT and all Heineken Beverages SHEQFS standards and procedures.

    • Establish and maintain relationships with COE. 
    • Monitor and report on environmental performance (water, electricity, energy, carbon footprint, effluent) and ensure objectives and targets are met. 
    • Provide support during internal & external audits and other verification activities across the site. 

    Maintenance & Utilities Management: 

    • Ensure that all stakeholders are supplied with accurate and reliable air, cooling, steam, electricity, water, wastewater treatment, etc. 
    • Responsible for all the legal, regulatory, and statutory requirements associated with maintenance execution. 
    • Managing and supervising the utilities and cellar maintenance team, set priorities, and provide technical advice to team as required. 
    • Ensure that all maintenance work is completed on time, within budget and in compliance with standards. 
    • Develop team goals and roadmaps for maintenance department aligned with site engineering strategy. 

    Financial Management: 

    • Responsible for drafting the engineering OPEX budget for utilities and maintenance. 
    • Manage part of the OPEX budget for engineering and ensure governance. 

    The successful candidate must have the following experience/skills: 

    • Tertiary qualification BSc degree, B. Tech degree (Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Industrial) 
    • A Government Certificate of Competency will be advantageous 
    • At least 5 years relevant maintenance, process and project management experience, preferably in a beverage or FMCG environment (including budget control) 
    • Computer literacy (i.e. Microsoft Office, Excel, SAP-PM, etc.) 
    • Willingness to work outside of normal working hours, when required 
    • People management, performance management and leadership skills 
    • Sound written and verbal communication skills at various levels of employees.
