    PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THIS JOB:

    • Responsible for teaching activities and ensuring delivery of the set course curriculum in accordance with the Capsicum Culinary Studio (CCS) policies and philosophy of individuality and excellence in culinary arts.

    Receptionist

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Campus reception and Switchboard duties

    • Create an organised front office environment system (orderly systems, clean, professional and neat).
    • Receives and welcomes prospective and current students, parents and guests by greeting and directing them appropriately. 
    • Builds relationships with students and parents through professional interaction.
    • Operates the switchboard by receiving and directing calls promptly , professionally and efficiently and gathers the relevant information(i.e. reason for the call) from the caller to ensure that calls are directed to the appropriate staff member.

    Overall Job Purpose: 

    • The Alumni Manager exists to bridge strategy and execution, ensuring that alumni engagement activities are well-coordinated, impactful, and aligned with the institution’s broader advancement objectives, fostering a connected, celebrated, and purpose-driven alumni community.

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Implementation of Alumni Engagement Initiatives

    • Implement the institution’s Alumni Engagement Strategy in alignment with the Six-Pillar Alumni Framework (Connect, Cultivate, Career, Commit, Celebrate, Collaborate).
    • Manage the coordination and delivery of all strategic alumni events, including Awards and Golden Key Alumni Events.
    • Oversee the planning and rollout of alumni mentorship programmes in collaboration with the Career Services team to support graduate employability and professional growth.
    • Strengthen lifelong relationships, institutional pride, and alumni affinity through consistent, value-driven engagement activities.

    Information Specialist (Librarian)

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    Management of the Writing Centre (Writing Centre Administration)

    • Manage the day-day activities of the Information Centre in an academic environment.
    • Manage the routine operations of the inter-Information Centre loans and request service.
    • Manage and control facility, computer usage and ensure effective administration of periodicals.
    • Liaises with departments within The IIE's Varsity College to ensure efficient support, i.e. assignment capacity.
    • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with academic staff and students, as well as external bodies such as suppliers.
    • Prepares reports related to Information Centre and information services.
    • Develops and maintains a hybrid information collection.

    • Assists students with Academic writing, referencing and search skills.

    • Innovative marketing and promotion of information Centre resources.
    • Market, promote and co-ordinate awareness campaigns pertinent to the Information Centre.

    General Administration

    Executive: Research

    The purpose of the job:

    • The Executive: Research is responsible for institutional research, the management of ethical clearance across all institutions, and the establishment of research support services that enable high-quality, sustainable research activity. The role will drive capacity and capability development in research, postgraduate supervision, and academic writing for publication, working in collaboration with academics across institutions to strengthen scholarly output. A core function of this role is to elevate the academic standing of the tertiary division through the strategic management of accredited academic journals and international research conferences. The incumbent will also lead institutional research initiatives, drawing on strong analytical capabilities to generate insights from data that inform strategic direction and identify areas for improvement. While institutions will lead their research strategies and collaborations, this role will provide the systems, services, and expert guidance needed to support those efforts and optimise the overarching research agenda.

    Main Outputs and Responsibilities for this Position:

    • Institutional Research and Strategic Analytics Leadership
    • Design and review research policy frameworks, ensuring compliance with ethical standards.
    • Provide guidance on best practices in research governance and institutional planning.
    • Analyse and interpret institutional data to produce insights that inform strategic direction, academic quality enhancement, and operational improvement.
    • Develop and present strategic insights to institutional leaders to inform planning and quality enhancement.
    • Monitor sector trends and benchmark institutional performance.
    • Produce reports, dashboards, and briefing papers to support executive and academic decision-making.
    • Communicate research findings in accessible, impactful formats for executive, academic, and regulatory use.

    Qualification

    Intern - Educational Psychologist

    Overall purpose of the internship

    • The purpose of a psychology internship, as outlined by the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA), is to provide aspiring psychologists with comprehensive, supervised practical experience, ensuring they gain the necessary skills, knowledge, and competencies to practice independently and ethically.
