    Design Specialist

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Translating concepts into final designs using various tools and software. This includes creating detailed drawings, graphics, layouts, or models. For digital design, this involves using programs like Adobe Creative Suite or Sketch; for product design and CAD software.
    • Interacting with customers/clients to understand their needs, present design concepts, and gather feedback. This includes presenting ideas clearly, addressing concerns, and making revisions based on client input.
    • Creating and refining design concepts based on client requirements, project goals, and market research. This involves brainstorming ideas, sketching preliminary designs, and execution into final products.
    • Overseeing the design project from start to finish, ensuring it stays on schedule and within budget. This involves coordinating with other team members, managing timelines, and handling any issues that arise during the design process.
    • Ensuring that the final design meets the required standards and specifications. This includes reviewing work for accuracy, consistency, and adherence to brand guidelines or technical requirements.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in design or art-related field.
    • 5 - 8 years of experience in a relevant design role.
    • Certification and/or training in relevant software programs required for the role.
    • Previous experience working on a Design software/Textile software (For example, coral draw/Adobe/Nedgraphics)
    • Must have a portfolio of high-quality professional work and project samples.
    • Mastery of foundational design concepts and visual principles.

    Business Development Manager

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales / Client engagement: Drive revenue by identifying new opportunities and developing customers in untapped markets, while supporting stakeholders through technical guidance and understanding market trends. This includes staying informed about competitors, collaborating on educational initiatives to showcase B_'s professional value, and managing CPD training to foster business growth and market share expansion.
    • Project Marketing activities: Collaborating with Commercial and Marketing teams to ensure effective project marketing supports the sales strategy, contributing insights into marketing, product development, and design projects based on stakeholder knowledge. Staying informed about industry best practices is essential to align processes with trends, legislation, and strategic goals, ensuring Belgotex’s sustainability.
    • Relationship management: Building relationships with key regional industry stakeholders to understand customer demand, market trends, and industry developments, driving projects and brand growth. This includes negotiating and securing contracts with key developers and customers as part of the sales strategy and attending industry functions to foster connections and stay engaged in the market.
    • Product Competence: Attending ongoing product training, contributing as a subject matter expert in product development, recolouring ranges, and introducing new product categories. Staying informed about industry best practices is crucial to ensure processes align with trends, legislation, and strategic goals, ensuring Belgotex's sustainability.
    • Reporting: Tracking KPIs, analyzing performance, and implementing corrective actions. Collaborating with the Commercial team to develop action plans for sales growth, margins, and revenue, while using continuous improvement processes (IGP) to optimize output. All meetings and project updates must be accurately recorded in CRM.

    Requirements

    • Grade 12 / Matric with mathematics or math’s literacy.
    • At least 3-5 years relevant sales experience in a similar role within a relevant industry is essential.
    • Be able to articulate products and services to perfection.
    • You must be comfortable with a lot of things going on at any one time and able to communicate with a wide variety of people.
    • Experience working in a CRM system and Microsoft packages is essential.
    • Excellent time management skills to execute our daily tasks
    • Ability to plan and organize your priorities and calendar.
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to converse at all levels but especially strong and effective in digital and online communication platforms.

    Business Development Coordinator

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Sales/ client engagement: supports Business Development Managers in promoting the B_ portfolio to stakeholders, retailers, customers, and new markets, while assisting them in selecting the best products for their needs and budget.
    • Project Co-ordination: supporting the BDM with back-end tasks like project management, workflows, order handling, logistics, and admin to enhance sales and service delivery. Responsibilities include closing existing opportunities to create new ones, monitoring project progress, updating stakeholders, and maintaining accurate, real-time records in the CRM. The CRM must be kept updated for forecasting, with a reliable database and project pipeline reflecting accurate pipeline health.
    • Efficient engagement with people, systems and process: collaborate with a dedicated marketing and research team that provides project leads, and a customer service team that handles quoting, orders, and post-delivery logistics. The BDM is responsible for organizing field activities, and the BDC can route two types of work to them: opportunities needing a field visit and business development opportunities. You are expected to maintain positive relationships with team members and ensure productive, conflict-free collaboration. Additionally, you will participate in short daily WIP meetings and contribute to promotional activities.
    • Product Competence: You will attend ongoing product training and serve as a subject matter expert in your area of expertise. This includes providing input into new product development, range recoloring, and the introduction of new product categories in collaboration with the Engineering team.
    • Reporting: You will report on KPIs to track performance, with monthly performance analysis and corrective action plans if needed, including detailed commentary. You'll collaborate with the Commercial team to develop short- and long-term plans to address sales margin, growth, and revenue variances using leading indicators and control techniques. Additionally, you'll develop and implement continuous improvement processes (IGP) to enhance output, reduce variability, and manage constraints.

    Junior Project Research

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Growing New Business: Interrogating various industry-related sources and databases to identify high-value projects and decision makers for opportunity pipeline growth; researching leads from industry publications, lead service providers, general news/social media platforms and team members in the field
    • Stakeholder Research: Identification and capturing of industry-relevant, as well as segment-focused stakeholders and contacts for both the international and local markets (inclusive of sourcing and creating databases to support both the sales and marketing teams)
    • Market Research: Providing support to the Lead Project Researcher in the exploration of new and existing opportunities for scaling, that may involve tackling specific market segments, expanding product lines and increasing marketing efforts, to seek out new business opportunities
    • Construction Industry Research: Providing support to the Lead Project Researcher in staying abreast of emerging industry trends, preferences and consumer behaviors, competitive landscape analysis and identifying potential gaps in the market to drive new business through the Belgotex value proposition
    • Systems & Processes: Work within our CRM database to manage the sales pipeline; from the loading of new projects, adding and updating of stakeholders and contacts, as well as creating industry databases to support the Belgotex internal and field sales teams 6. Team Collaboration: Ensure that you work hard to create and maintain a productive working relationship with the Lead Project Researcher and internal and field project sales team, and assure that your relationship with team members is productive and free from conflict. Also ensure not to engage in behavior that is damaging to – or in competition with – our company policies

    Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Economics, Business Management or relevant field
    • Previous experience (3-5 years) in a research role is advantageous
    • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal)
    • Meticulous attention to detail in execution and data entry
    • Proficient in MS Office applications
    • Must be able to work independently
    • Previous exposure and knowledge of flooring products and the flooring industry is an added advantage
