    Cashier

    • The cashier is responsible to process all cash/card transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures. The jobholder will play a fundamental role in achieving customer satisfaction and revenue growth objectives. Duties and responsibilities of the cashier will include greeting customers when entering or leaving the store, maintaining a clean and tidy checkout area and keeping reports of cash and card transactions.

    Job Requirements:

    • Matric
    • 2-3 years working experience in retail cashier or sales environment
    • Basic PC knowledge and familiarity with electronic equipment (e.g. cash register, scanners, money counters etc.)
    • Strong communication and time management skills
    • Customer satisfaction-oriented
    • Attention to detail and mathematical skills
    • Ability to stand, walk, lift items, and work with other team members in a fast-paced environment to provide excellent service.
    • Sales skills

    Responsibilities:

    • Accepting payments, ensuring all prices and quantities are accurate and proving a receipt to every customer.
    • Operating scanners, scales, cash registers, and any other electronics.
    • Keep reports of transactions
    • Welcoming customers, answering their questions, helping them locate items, and providing advice or recommendations
    • Resolve all customer complaints efficiently and effectively.
    • Greet customers when entering or leaving establishments
    • Maintain clean and tidy workspace
    • Pleasantly deal with customers to ensure customer satisfaction

    Workshop Assistant

    • Assist with all functions in the warehouse.

    We need:

    • Grade 12
    • Basic Knowledge of warehouse functioning.
    • Traceable references of previous maintenance work.
    • Must be able to work in a team.
    • Be prepared to work overtime and shifts when required to do so.
    • Be prepared to work for long hours under pressure.
    • Be physically fit and in good health.
    • Valid forklift license
    • Valid driver’s license

    KEY FUNCTIONS:

    Responsible for maintenance:

    • Ensure that hydraulic presses and high-density presses are kept in working condition to maintain productivity
    • Ensuring that forklifts are 100% working condition to ensure high productivity levels are maintained.
    • Ensure that conveyer belts are kept in working condition to maintain productivity.
    • Responsible for the checking of company motor vehicles before they exit the BKB premises, and upon their return to the BKB premises.
    • Any maintenance/repairs required, for example, plumbing, carpentry etc.

    Forklift:

    • Assist with forklift duties, when requested to by supervisor.
    • Removal of wool, machinery etc. from the trucks and move to the requested area by the supervisor.

     Quality Control:

    • Compliance with applicable ISO standards
    • Ensure that all the machinery in the Wool store is repaired and kept in a working condition.

     Ad Hoc:

    • Perform any other ad hoc activities/duties/tasks/ as requested by the supervisor or management in the plant (BKB)
    • Assist and follow any and verbal instructions that is being given by management/supervisor.

    Health and safety: 

    • Always maintain a safe and clean work environment.
    • Report any safety hazards in the working environment to your supervisor/management.
    • Maintain a safe and orderly environment of the facilities.

    • Responsible for the compilation of commission statements and distribution thereof
