    Village Manager - Noordhoek Manor

    Noordhoek Manor, part of the respected Faircape Group, borders the Silvermine Nature Reserve and offers sweeping views of False Bay and scenic Ou Kaapse Weg. Its 173 country-style cottages and surrounding gardens blend seamlessly into the surrounding Cape Nature Conservation Area, enhancing the atmosphere of gentle tranquility.

    We are looking for an energetic and innovative Village Manager to take overall responsibility for the effective management and general well being of this exclusive retirement/lifestyle village. The successful candidate will ensure that key performance requirements are met by implementing operational plans and facilitating effective communication and networking across the business and the village.

    Specific duties include, but are not limited to

    • Customer service and communication to all village residents and their families
    • Manage SLA with all service providers and ensure compliance with agreed standards.
    • Ensure high standards of food served in the clubhouse in collaboration with Food Service Manager and Dietician
    • Manage and supervise team responsible for the village
    • Marketing and selling of homes in the village in collaboration with the Sales Manager
    • Carry out Health and Safety risk assessments and ensure implementation of H&S policies
    • Facilitate the social calendar of the village with the team

    Requirements
    Experience and knowledge

    • 3-5 years experience in managing a diverse team
    • Proven dealings with upmarket clientele
    • Experience in similar environment, ie retirement sector as advantage
    • Knowledge of life right law (advantageous)

    Skills and attributes

    • Professional communication skills (both written and verbal)
    • Computer literate
    • Solid administrative and organisational experience
    • Able to perform well under pressure
    • Customer service orientated
    • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
    • Responsible, accountable and dedicated

    Specific requirements

    • Own transport
    • Solid and positive references
    • Clear criminal record

    Benefits

    Copywriter | Claremont

    The Role

    The prestigious Faircape Group has an excellent opportunity for a talented and creative Copywriter to assist in the execution of marketing briefs and strategy across the Group. The successful candidate will create relevant content in different forms (social media posts, website content, articles, blogs, flyers, videos) for all departments within the Faircape Group. If you would like to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment then apply now! Specific duties include, but is not limited to

    Ideation

    • Interpret creative briefs and adapt points into persuasive copy concepts
    • Proactively research and identify various creative opportunities
    • Present copy concepts and final deliverables to internal team, and to management as needed
    • Participate in content brainstorms
    • Proactively identify creative trends and opportunities
    • Using data analysis and Google Analytics to inform your decisions
    • Strategising campaigns with the Brand Managers
    • Propose copy concepts and present underlying strategic thinking to management

    Copywriting and proofing

    • Write persuasive, clear copy and tailor content to a wide range of print and digital channels, as well as tie together all elements within a holistic marketing strategy
    • Writing different types of copy for a variety of different target markets and clients
    • Revise copy based on internal and management feedback/direction
    • Create engaging content for our Social Media
    • Proofing and editing existing copy and adapting as required
    • Use SEO principles to maximize copy’s reach

    Qualifications
    Requirements

    • A tertiary qualification in copywriting and/or advertising

    Experience And Knowledge

    • 3 years professional copywriting experience, either in-house or within an agency
    • Finely honed copywriting skills – ability to write imaginative, creative and original work
    • Excellent command of the English language
    • Knowledge of copyright and plagiarism legislation

    • Computer literate (Google Docs)
    • Good conceptual thinker
    • Adept at brainstorming relevant, innovative ideas
    • The ability to translate a brief/idea into a workable end-product
    • Ability to accept guidance and respond well to criticism
