    Taste & Wellbeing Customer Care Manager for Southern & East Africa, West & Central Africa

    • We are looking for a 'Customer Care Manager' to be an excellent partner for our growing Taste & Wellbeing Operations across Southern & East Africa, West & Central Africa. You will lead all the Taste & Wellbeing Order management activities while ensuring excellent performance and quality standards for Givaudan and our customers.
    • This individual contributor role reports to the Head of Transport & Customer Care SAMEA and offers excellent personal and professional development opportunities. The role is to be based in our operations/manufacturing site in Johannesburg (South Africa).

    In this exciting role, you will be responsible for -

    Excellence in execution:

    • Lead the implementation and the delivery of improvement actions and programs already identified in the Customer Care roadmap: 1) to improve the service levels for on-time deliveries and reduction of complaints
    • Achieve standardisation and harmonisation of organisation and processes (lean & best practices).
    • Increase the automation of processes.
    • Work in a structured way (root cause analyses, PDCA) with main to improve performance and customer service levels.
    • Monitor Weekly Measurements and analyse monthly Goals related.
    • Conduct weekly and monthly reviews with Operations and Commercial Team.
    • Manage escalations from customers/sales.
    • Support local customer care operations and implement global guidelines
    • Support with complex issue resolutions, complaints and prioritisation issues to attain customer experience.
    • Promote organisation optimisation for improved efficiency and reduce costs
    • Work in close colaboration with Supply Chain, Sales, Trade Affairs and other departments to ensure improved service levels to customers

    Your professional profile includes:

    • A Diploma or Masters in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management or a related discipline. Additional certifications in Six Sigma/Lean Green Belt certificate will be advantageous.
    • 8+ years of relevant and progressive work experience in supply chain management with a background in supply Chain or customer care in sub regional work environments.
    • Knowledge of transportation, customs and trade affairs needs and trends in Africa.
    • Experience with incoterms and shipping terminologies.
    • Excellent project management and change management skills.
    • Comfortable in working and collaborating with diverse teams and cultures.

    Maintenance Engineer

    Purpose

    • Coordinate, execute and monitor the preventative & corrective maintenance and repair activities so thatthe facilities, machinery, power sources and equipment operate reliably and apply agreed improvementsto safeguard site assets, safety, health and environment.

    Core Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and support maintenance teams in executing and reporting routine maintenance activities,handling repairs of installations, equipment and machinery (for example planned maintenanceprograms, shut-downs, or emergency repairs) to minimize business disruptions caused by break-downs and malfunctions.
    • Monitor the daily inspections of production machines and equipment as well as all electrical devices,power supply circuits, distribution boards, control panels, pumps, lighting systems, air- conditions, firealarm system and spare parts to evaluate requests for repair.
    • Diagnose & report breakdown problems to the department head.
    • Monitor availability and state of maintenance tools, stores and equipment and advise on replacing orordering new equipment and/or tools.
    • Monitor performance of technical service contractors involved in utilities and services operations andimplement corrective actions if necessary.
    • Coach and develop maintenance staff so that repairs and services activities are completed accurately,safely, and on-time.
    • Provide technical advice to maintenance and operations managers with regards to operationalimplications of capital projects implementation.
    • Observe and role model all safety rules applicable on site.

    Academic Background

    • Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
    • Plant Engineering or Maintenance Certification preferred.

    Professional Experience

    • 4+ years work experience of 2 to 4 years in manufacturing plants as Maintenance Engineer, preferablein the consumer goods Industry.
    • Up to 1 year of experience in people management desirable.

    Technical Skills

    • Proficiency in technical engineering, problem diagnosis and resolution.
    • Good knowledge of TPM, KPI, Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing principles.
    • Good knowledge of EHS rules and guidelines.
    • Good command in Windows environment (MS office) and SAP.
    • Good communication skills.
    • Knowledge of people management basics.

    Regulatory Manager

    Regulatory Manager - Your future role?

    • As a Regulatory Manager in Johannesburg, you will provide regulatory consultancy to us to ensure compliance with regulatory and safety requirements, according to relevant laws and corporate guidelines.
    • You will report to the Head of SAMEA Regulatory.

    You will:

    • Monitor regulatory and legislative developments and identify early issues that influence the business and advise the business on eventual risks
    • Interpret and ensure compliance with laws and regulations resulting in reduced liability

    You have:

    • Preferred: Advanced Degree i.e. Master's or Doctorate's degrees
    • 5+ years of experience
    • Experience with important product category activities, regulatory trends and general market dynamics
    • Full knowledge of regulatory systems and databases
    • Knowledge of formulae creation procedures
    • Knowledge of industry and customer regulatory requirements, trends and pending regulatory legislation
