    Sales Engineer - Key Accounts

    About this Position

    • Responsible for developing and managing strategic partnerships with key accounts to drive profitable growth 

    What you´ll do

    • Support SBU/ sub-segments by executing on-site customer- facing technical activities(and training) for existing and new business with-in defined territory, as well as supporting customer/ market application and engineering projects.
    • Execute local and export sales plans (short, mid, long term) in line with SBU strategy to maintain and develop existing/ acquire new customers. Execute customer roadmap and manages respective CRM tools (ACE) growth opportunities
    • Executes pricing actions
    • Build and maintain relationships with customers
    • Deliver KP OSG and PC % in territory at defined target accounts.
    • Provide product recommendations, customized products application, new product applications and troubleshooting for customers. Perform technical visits (meetings, audits, demonstrations, trouble shooting, etc) for customers with documentation in CRM (ACE) tools
    • Responsible for product applications, technical training and coaching of field sales force and customers
    • Leverage customer feedback to drive optimization in customer service and identify new business opportunities for sales colleagues

    What makes you a good fit

    • Degree in engineering, business or equivalent
    • 1 – 3 years’ experience in sales ( Preferably Industrial Adhesives)
    • Industry / Technology specific knowledge – adhesives (Recommended)

    Application Engineer Intern

    About this Position

    • As an Application Engineering Intern, you will support our technical sales team in delivering technical applications and solutions that meet customer requirements. You will assist in product selection, application development, and solution customization, while gaining practical exposure to industrial systems and technologies

    What you´ll do

    • Assist in industrial applications tailored to client needs.
    • Support the preparation of technical proposals and product documentation.
    • Conduct research and analysis on industry standards and competitor solutions.
    • Aid in troubleshooting application issues and providing first-level support.
    • Participate in field/site visits with technical sales teams with application testing or product demos.
    • Collaborate with the sales and marketing teams to align solutions with customer expectations.
    • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and regional market dynamics.

    What makes you a good fit

    • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Mechatronics Engineering.
    • Strong academic record with an interest in industrial systems and applications.
    • Familiarity with CAD software and technical drawing is a plus.
    • Basic understanding of industrial automation, control systems, or mechanical processes.
    • Excellent communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
    • Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
    • Willingness to travel for site visits or customer engagements if required

    Chaingers Trainee Program

    About this Position

    • Henkel’s CHAINGERS – Young Professionals Program in South Africa is designed for early-career engineers with 3–5 years of experience who are ready to take the next step in their professional journey. This 18 month full-time rotational program provides immersive exposure to Henkel's manufacturing operations, supply chain systems, and leadership culture at our Alrode production site. 

    What you´ll do

    • Rotate across key departments such as Production, Quality, Supply Chain, and Engineering
    • Gain hands-on experience on the shopfloor by supporting day-to-day manufacturing activities
    • Analyze and improve production processes to enhance efficiency, safety, and sustainability
    • Collaborate cross-functionally with teams from different functions to understand the full value chain

    What makes you a good fit

    • Educational Background: BSc degree in chemical engineering 
    • Work Experience: 3 to 5 years of full-time work experience in a relevant field such as production, operations, manufacturing, process engineering, or supply chain
    • Technical Skills: Strong foundation in engineering principles and plant operations
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
    • Exposure to manufacturing systems, process improvement, or lean methodologies
    • Fluent in English 
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical mindset
    • Demonstrated initiative and sense of ownership
    • Adaptability and resilience in dynamic environments
    • Passion for learning and continuous development
