    Talent Acquisition Practitioner

    • We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced  Talent Acquisition Practitioner  to join our dynamic team at Minopex.
    • This position will be based at our Head office in Woodmead 

    Description

    • The primary function of a Talent Acquisition Practitioner is to manage and lead the full recruitment cycle, ensuring the organization attracts and secures the best candidates. This position plays a key role in developing recruitment strategies that are in harmony with the organization's objectives and staffing requirements. It is essential for improving the overall experience of candidates, ensuring adherence to employment regulations, and working closely with different departments to facilitate a smooth and effective hiring process.

    Qualification Requirements

    • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Human Resources Management / Industrial Psychology or a related discipline

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Coordinate and control end-to-end recruitment processes across multiple sites for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees
    • Draft job adverts in line with approved job profiles and submit to site for review and approval
    • Create and publish job adverts on the recruitment ATS (internal and/or external and on the associated job boards, job aggregators, newspapers and local community etc.)
    • Internal email distribution of all job adverts
    • Utilise additional candidate sourcing methods for difficult roles, i.e. recruitment ATS and job board database searches, LinkedIn, referrals etc.
    • Conduct application response management and compile application matrices (long-lists) for submission to Hiring Managers
    • Setup, conduct and facilitate interviews as requested by the sites, ensuring that interview processes are procedurally fair
    • Guide the sites in terms of interview best practices, e.g. targeted selection and assist with compiling interview guides as required
    • Conduct background checks on selected candidates (reference, qualification and criminal record checks etc.)
    • Prepare offers in line with the approved salary scales and submission to site
    • Formally regretting unsuccessful candidates
    • Ensure that the recruitment system is kept up to date at all times for all vacancies by moving candidates through the recruitment workflow
    • Build strong relationships with key business points of contact whilst driving Hiring Manger and candidate satisfaction
    • Become a subject matter expert of the recruitment process and ATS ensuring that recruitment governance, service level agreements and data accuracy policies are adhered to, therefore ensuring high quality outputs
    • Knowledge of country legislation across the EMEA Region
    • Management of visa processes for expats
    • Proactive sourcing aligned to the Talent Strategy
    • Manages subordinates' key performance areas

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 3 - 5 years’ experience in coordinating r and implementing recruitment processes in a mining, mineral processing or engineering environment
    • Experience in coordinating recruitment processes across multiple sites / projects for skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled employees
    • Proven track record of recruitment and selection techniques, selection guidelines and legislation regarding employment practices local and offshore recruitment in the EMEA region
    • Demonstrated capability with social networking, job boards, referrals and internal networking to source prospective talent
    • Actively searching for qualified candidates through various channels like job boards, social media, professional networking sites, and employee referrals.
    • Strong organisational and time management skills

    • Accuracy and attention to detail
    • Critical thinking and business acumen
    • Ability to work under pressure with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines

    Laboratory Assistant

    Description

    • This position is responsible to support laboratory analytical activities by fire assay, nickel sulphate analysis and wet chemistry, and performing sample preparation procedures. The role ensures that samples are received and processed accurately, safely, and efficiently to enable reliable analytical results and maintain laboratory productivity within the various time constraints.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Ensure compliance with Quality Laboratory Services Health and Safety responsibilities, legal and operational requirements
    • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Management system (ISO/IEC 17025)
    • Identify hazards and risk while performing daily tasks and take preventative measures
    • Comply with provided systems, practices, methods, standards, and procedures of the job
    • Conduct visual inspections of the work area to ensure workplace safety and good housekeeping
    • Perform routine sampling or collection of samples in operational areas
    • Perform sample preparation including crushing, splitting, milling, weighing, and drying of samples.
    • Assist with fire assay sample preparation, including flux weighing, mixing, and fusion preparation.
    • Assist with wet chemistry procedures such as reagent preparation, filtration, digestion, and titrations.
    • Assist with the preparation and analysis of nickel sulphate samples according to laboratory procedures.
    • Record and document sample preparation and analytical activities in laboratory worksheets or systems. (LIMS)
    • Ensure correct labelling, tracking, and storage of samples throughout the testing process.
    • Operate basic laboratory equipment such as balances, ovens, furnaces, and hot plates
    • Assist analysts or technicians during analytical procedures when required.
    • Perform sieve sizing analyses on samples as part of sample preparation
    • Inspection and first line fault finding of sampling equipment
    • Daily inspection, cleaning and unblocking of sampling equipment and spillages caused by sampling equipment
    • Cleaning of all laboratory equipment and instruments
    • Completing sample checklists and logging of samples on the system
    • Marking and labelling of sample tags and sample containers
    • Storing of samples according to specifications and colour codes
    • Perform all sample preparation as per Safe Work instructions to ensure accurate results to the Client and stakeholders
    • Adhere to quality requirements, verifications, calibrations, certifications of equipment

    Qualification Requirements

    • Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Science.
    • A certificate or diploma in Chemistry, Metallurgy, Laboratory Practice or any relevant qualification will be advantageous.

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Minimum 2- 3 years’ experience in a mining, metallurgical, or analytical laboratory required.
    • Experience with sample preparation and basic laboratory procedures will be advantageous.
    • Exposure to fire assay, wet chemistry, or base metal analysis would be beneficial.
    • Knowledge of Laboratory Equipment and Laboratory systems (ICP-OES, XRF, Leco, potentiometric titrators and Fire Assay etc.) and other mineral assays will be advantageous.
    • Knowledge of the basic concepts of sample preparation, e.g. contamination, representative sample and integrity of a sample
    • Good record keeping and documentation skills.
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management

    Experience and Skills Requirements

    • Experience in sample preparation in a laboratory will be advantageous
    • Knowledge of the basic concepts of sample preparation, e.g. contamination, representative sample and integrity of a sample
    • Experience in a Robotic Laboratory will be advantageous.
    • Attention to detail, planning and organising and being a team player.
    • Computer literate
    • English language proficiency
    • Time management
