    Store Manager Sheet Street The Atrium Eshowe

    Job Description

    • Lead and manage the daily operations of a store to ensure that the overall objectives, store targets and customer service standards are met and exceeded.         

    Responsibilities
    Stock Management:

    • Ensure that stock is accurately received & unpacked to merchandise and replenish the sales floor.
    • Monitor and manage stock levels through defined processes (stock counts, stock takes, stock loss action plans, etc.) to mitigate risks (stock loss) and ensure adequate stock on hand.
    • Oversee the overall maintenance of the stockroom to meet housekeeping standards.
    • Authorize write-offs, breakages, recalls, and returns.

    Sales Growth & Profitability:

    • Analyse sales & profitability reports in-store to collaborate with management on required operational action plans, increase sales performance, and monitor store expenditure.
    • Review and keep abreast of in-store product performance to provide feedback to the support center and enhance sales.
    • Identify and propose new opportunities to increase sales and brand awareness. This may include in-store marketing, competitor shopping, partnering/participating in local events, and driving new accounts/memberships per targets (if applicable).

    Risk Management:

    • Conduct compliance checks through defined processes (e.g. admin checks, store audits, visual audits, COMO (Continuous Monitoring) reports, POS reports, health & safety standards, weekly hanger counts, security, etc.) to ensure and enforce overall compliance with policies and procedures.              

    Customer Experience Management:

    • Ensure and maintain the implementation of customer experience processes (through the execution of business instruction letters, markdowns, repricing, promotions, customer experience plans, visual standards, customer feedback, general housekeeping, etc.) to meet customer service standards.

    Leadership & Development:

    • Lead and drive the team within a store to achieve store KPIs and operational strategy in line with company values.
    • Identify & drive training, coaching, and development needs with a focus on talent management and succession planning.
    • Recruit, administer & manage performance in accordance with company policies and procedures.                                        

    Qualifications

    • Grade 12
    • 3 Years’ of  Store or Assistant Store Management experience preferably in a similar style of retail store.
    • Sales & service management.
    • Budgeting.
    • You are proficient in MS Office 
    • Communication skills.

    Head of Finance

    Job Description

    • Reporting to the Finance Director for the division, you form part of the greater management team where you offer valuable support in commercial decision-making. As a forward-thinking, tech-enabled, experienced CA(SA), you incorporate leading-edge technology into the finance processes. You contribute to and drive the growth of the business. 

    Responsibilities
    Strategy     

    • Contribute to the development of the Company strategy
    • With the finance team, develop the 5-year financial model in line with Group requirements for submission with the strategy document.
    • Provide support and guidance to other functional areas of the business to ensure plans are aligned
    • Compile annual budget aligned to the group framework and divisional strategy.
    • Remain abreast of competitor performance and results.
    • Assist with reporting on divisional KPI’s.
    • Apply a strategic mindset to the finance department of the future and create a plan on how to get there.
    • Support the optimal organisation of resources to achieve standard reporting objectives while enabling the daily contribution to business and commercial decisions.
    • Drive streamlining and the automation routine monthly reporting

    Policies and Procedures

    • Conduct all processes in a manner that upholds integrity and company values and all other good governance principles.
    • Ensure that financial solutions provided fall within the legislative framework.

    Reporting

    Monthly          

    • Timeous compilation of inputs into monthly general management booklets (GMB) packs for distribution to Group Finance and the Board
    • Strategic compilation of monthly forecasts to track where the business is in terms of the agreed budget.
    • Ensure that monthly cost-center reports are reviewed and discussed with stakeholders.
    • Monthly cash flow statements and cash flow control
    • Review of all stock related reporting and ageing etc.

    Half year and Year end

    • Strategic collating of financial data to ensure that it is aligned to the reported results.
    • Effectual production of report packs inclusive of supportive financial data and the associated commentary.
    • Collaboration with external auditors

    Internal/External Audit          

    • Ensure that the finance team complies with all internal/external audit requirements. This includes preparing working papers at half and year-end as well as attending any necessary meetings.

    Payments

    • Approve and release payments to ensure all invoices are paid timeously including suppliers, monthly salaries, adhoc payments, approval on banking platforms.

    General administration                    

    • Support the business to ensure the effective control of all costs, cashflow management and other finance efficiencies (e.g. monthly, review of merchandise one-liner, stock levels, stock ageing, etc.) to maintain the businesses general administration.

    Leadership & Liaison

    • Oversight of the finance team responsible for delivering financial reporting
    • Liaison with the shared services head on reporting structures to ensure delivery of required inputs.

    Qualifications

    • CA (SA) with 5 years post articles experience 
    • Experience in a Finance Management role 
    • Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines 
    • Proven ability to plan, organize and work methodically 
    • Ability to lead both direct and indirect reports 
    • Intermediate to Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
    • Attention to detail 
    • Strong analytical capabilities 
    • An early adopter who will contribute to building the business of the future
    • You test and challenge input assumptions to ensure the most accurate outcomes, as well as having the ability to voice these when appropriate.
    • Integrate with the business operations to understand how it works and to be in a position to ask informed questions.

    Stock Controller Mr Price Money

    Job Description

    • The purpose of the Stock Controller is to ensure that all Cellular stock information is accurate and up to date, with queries resolved timeously. This includes carrying out stock takes in line with the approved budget, maintaining and updating the Stocktake Tracker on a monthly basis, and managing supplier payment queries accurately and efficiently.

    Responsibilities
    Stock control and stock take

    • Monitor and maintain current inventory levels to ensure that stock balances per the system are accurate and complete. 
    • Reconcile actual stock take results (in store and OTD) to Oracle and investigates variances.
    • Stocktake reports, complete and evaluate to ensure stock loss compliance

    Variance Analysis 

    • Identify and investigate stock take variances, breakages and shortages to resolve differences and avoid loss. 
    • Assist with resolution of all stock-related queries and claims. 

    Write Off Processing

    • Monthly processing of write offs on Oracle (system) for holding/query branches.        

    Stock counts 

    • Ensuring all stock counts (Cyclical & Financial) are prepared for, completed and reported on accurately for all stores to ensure effective management of stock.       

    Aging of Stock transfers

    • Ensure reports are run weekly to give an indication of transfers that are outstanding in order to provide reasons and resolve queries in a timely manner.  

    Support 

    • Provide support and advice to Ops regarding the stock policies and procedures, queries and claims.
    • Work closely with creditors team to validate outstanding supplier payment queries.

    Qualifications
    Education / Qualifications:

    • Finance related diploma or degree 

    Experience:

    • 1-3 years’ experience              

    Specific Knowledge:

    • Microsoft Office (Excel), Computer Literate, stock control knowledge       

    Business Understanding:

    • Oracle, Creditors and Store Processes
