    Double Coded Welder

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Carry out coded welding (double coded – e.g., SMAW, GTAW, or FCAW as required) on structural and pressure components.
    • Inspect, repair, and maintain ceramic-lined pulverised fuel (PF) hangers and supports.
    • Fabricate components according to technical drawings and specifications.
    • Install PF hangers, supports, and related structures on-site.
    • Ensure proper alignment, fitting, and securing of fabricated parts.
    • Conduct visual and dimensional inspections before, during, and after welding.
    • Identify defects and perform necessary corrective actions.
    • Work with maintenance and engineering teams to improve equipment reliability.
    • Ensure compliance with safety standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
    • Maintain tools, welding equipment, and work areas in good condition.

    Minimum Requirements:

    • Valid Welding Trade Test - double welding (e.g., 2 welding processes coded).
    • Grade 12 
    • Proven experience in welding, fabrication, and installation within industrial or power plant environments.
    • Experience working with ceramic-lined components and PF systems (advantageous).
    • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and welding procedures.
    • Knowledge of welding standards and quality control processes.
    • Physically fit and able to work in demanding environments.
