    French Client Executive Global Markets

    Introduction

    Key qualifications and experience required for the French Global Markets Client Executive

    • Must be fluent in French –NB

    • Strong originator with clear Broader Africa Global Markets sales experience –NB
    • Post-graduate degree in a related discipline
    • CFA or Master’s (Advantageous)
    • Minimum of 6-8 years’ relevant experience in a similar financial markets environment is essential
    • At least 2-3 years’ in direct client-facing roles where relationship management was central
    • Demonstrated industry knowledge and product knowledge
    • Strong relationships with key stakeholders
    • Multi-asset class capability (Advantageous)
    • Proven ability to price transactions accurately while reviewing competitive pricing strategies ensures optimal outcomes for both clients and the organisation.

    Key duties for the French Global Markets Client Executive

    • Originate, retain, and grow relationships with strategic clients by presenting comprehensive Global Markets offerings and driving financial performance through bespoke solutions.
    • Serve as the primary point of contactfor allocated clients’ key decision makers, actively engaging in relationship planning, strategy development, and execution to ensure satisfaction and loyalty.
    • Collaborate with asset class specialists, cross-functional teams, and credit experts to deliver integrated market risk solutions that align with client objectives and uphold the organisation’s brand promise.
    • Establish mutually beneficial partnerships with stakeholders to support thought leadership initiatives and promote innovative practices within the client group.
    • Communicate closed-loop feedback from clients effectively to enhance the sales team’s reputation for excellence and continuously improve service delivery.
    • Develop detailed client account plans for strategic clients, contributing insights into broader corporate and sponsor client strategies to maximise value creation.
    • Anticipate client needs by managing the origination process, ideating new solutions, and analysing sector trends to provide relevant thought leadership.
    • Utilise the Client Relationship Management (CRM) system to capture opportunities, document call reports, and track all activities related to Global Markets engagements.
    • Coordinate credit line requirements with lead bankers or sector heads in advance to ensure seamless transaction execution for clients.
    • Participate actively in cross-functional teams with responsibility for delivering end-to-end market risk solutions that place the customer at the centre of business operations.

    Business Intelligence Partner

    Key Responsibilities

    • Serve as the primary BI liaison for Merchandising and Product Development, translating business needs into clear reporting and data requirements.
    • Build, automate, and maintain dashboards and reports supporting:
    • Sales performance tracking
    • Sell-through and stock analysis
    • Product lifecycle and launch performance
    • Margin and cost analysis
    • Collaborate on cross-functional projects including pricing strategy, demand planning, and NPD (new product development) tracking.
    • Support Merchandising with weekly trade reports, seasonal reviews, and executive presentations by delivering clean, visual, insight-driven outputs.
    • Work with IT, data engineers, and BI developers to ensure data pipelines are accurate, scalable, and aligned with reporting needs.
    • Maintain consistency and standardisation of data definitions, KPIs, and tools across the business.

    Requirements

    What you'll do:

    What you bring:

    To excel as a Client Relationship Manager in Johannesburg, your background should reflect substantial experience within financial services working with financial institutions.

    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, , Economics, Finance or a related field is required; additional qualifications such as an MBA, CFA or CA (SA) would be advantageous.
    • At least 3-5 years of experience in a similar role within investment banking, cash or trade services or business development is essential for success.
