    Senior Fund Administrator - 6 Months Contract (Bellville)

    What will you do?


    Key Responsibilities:

    • Administration of Retirement Funds and maintenance of member level transactions across functional systems and functional areas within SEB Core.

    • Supervision of and sign-off on correctness of administrator(s) processing, recording, reporting and related compliance matters.

    • Adhere to service level agreements. (Internal and external)

    • Adhere to internal controls and procedures in place.

    • Professional verbal and written communication and reporting to clients. (Internal and external)

    • A thorough understanding of and compliance with the Pension Fund Act, Fund Rules and Income Tax Act and any other relevant legislative requirements.

    • Investigate, resolve and respond to ad hoc operational requirements, internal and external. (Verbal and in writing)

    • Identify and inform Management of any issues. (Escalation)

    • Handle all internal and external client requests and enquiries in a professional manner.

    • Monitor the work management system and escalate critical incidents.

    • Foster and maintain the relationship with internal departments e.g. Internal auditors Fund accounting, Legal.

    • Effectively manage and coordinate the daily workloads and work functions of a small team.

    • Provide Assistant Manager with input on the team members training needs on business processes and systems

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Matric/Grade 12 

    • 3 to 4 years Employee Benefits Experience

    • A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous 

    • Certificate of Proficiency (COP) or Introduction to Retirement Funds (IRF) qualification will be advantageous

    Qualification and Experience

    • Grade 12 with 3 to 4 years related experience.

    Data Architect

    What will you do?

    • Perform overall architecture design, performance tuning and implementation of  Data analytical solutions.
    • Implement end-to-end data analytics solutions (Investigate, recommend and implement data ingestion and ETL performance through visualization) for large-scale, complex client environments.
    • Work with application developers to ensure that data model is aligned with application design.
    • Work with business architecture to ensure that the data structures in place meet the business requirements.

    Automation Specialist (CPT and GT)

    Overall Role Purpose

    • The Automation Tester or Engineer will design automation tests. Duties will include and are not limited to designing automation scripts and finding solutions for automation problems.  the successful candidate should also be committed to developing skills in order to provide up-to-date solutions and be innovative and forward-thinking.  It is key to function on an executive level in terms of decision making.

    What will you do?

    •     Write, design, and execute automated tests by creating scripts that run testing functions automatically for Backend, Frontend and API automation
    •     Maximize test coverage for the most critical features of the system
    •     Determine the priority for test scenarios and create execution plans to implement these scenarios
    •     Write documentation for automated processes including test plans, test procedures, and test cases
    •     Build/Maintain test automation frameworks which are fit for purpose and applicable to project scope
    •     Log and document bugs in the tracking system
    •     Set up Continuous Integration.
    •     Researching issues in software through testing
    •     Collaborating with QA Analysts and Software Developers to develop solutions
    •     Keeping updated with the latest industry developments
    •     Perform test scheduling and execution (manually/automated)
    •     Identify and create test data
    •     Perform test case preparations and design, assist with the scripting of automated test cases, conditions and checkpoints 
    •     Develop test scenarios to test each software component and demonstrate the business condition under test and the expected results
    •     Perform test reporting based upon coverage and clearance statistics
    •     Perform test documentation compilation
    •     Identify and analyse defects, log defects and track defect resolution within release time frames
    •     Risk identification and reporting
    •     Perform scope and test effort estimations
    •     Analyse risks, develop contingencies, and plan testing accordingly

    What will make you successful in this role?

        Testing Knowledge &Tools

    •         Knowledge of automated testing frameworks and implementations for backend and frontend testing
    •         Experience with integrating with the Selenium library or equivalent frameworks
    •         A firm understanding of and flair for exploring and utilizing the latest CI/CD, DevOps and Automation Testing technologies and best practices
    •         Strong knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes
    •         Strong knowledge of SQL and scripting
    •         Mapping and Comparison tools
    •         Experience with non-gui test frameworks and SoapUI / Postman

        Testing Processes

    •         Working knowledge of Systems Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
    •         Working knowledge of Software Testing Lifecycle (STLC)

    Actuarial Manager: Optimisation & CS

    What will you do?

    An exciting new opportunity exists in the MiWay Actuarial team. We are continuously looking to enhance the way we quantify risk, price and design our products. Come join the team and be part of the challenge.

    Assists the Chief Actuary with valuations in a financial services institution.  Responsible for premium rates and all other statutory valuation work.  Responsible for the activities of a department or a specific function or area e.g. supervision of actuarial staff, actuarial students and clerical staff.  In Pension Fund Industry would be appointed as Fund Evaluator with responsibility for checking fund calculations and doing complex presentations to clients.  In a Consulting environment would clarify client requirements and translate actuarial concepts into client-friendly terminology, meeting all reporting requirements.  May also be involved in product development.

    What will make you successful in this role?

    • Bachelors degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematical Statistics or related field

    • 2 years in short term price optimisation, pricing, product development or related role

    Deliverables include, but will not be limited to

    • Build GLM demand models

    • Improve current processes and expand optimisation capabilities

    • Perform ad hoc analysis and queries related to optimisation and LTV (lifetime value)

    • Embed LTV as a metric within the different areas of the business

    • Provide actuarial support to the Client Services Department

    • Manage a team of high-performing professionals
