    Maintenance Planner

    • Maintenance planning for the entire unit
    • Planning and scheduling all maintenance activities across plant machinery, utilities (including ammonia plant, compressors, boilers, and generators), and facilities

    Millwright

    • We are searching for a talented and qualified millwright who has proven experience with industrial equipment maintenance and repairs. You will be responsible for dismantling machinery, transferring equipment, interpreting blueprints and installing equipment in our starch factory.
    • Must have in-depth knowledge of hydraulics, pumps gearboxes, steam systems, belt systems, motors and other industrial machine mechanisms essential for job procedures. Must be a team player with strong attention to detail.
    • Make decisions, troubleshoot and perform repairs with little to no supervision.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Installation and Assembly: Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals to assemble, install, and commission machinery, such as mixers, robot, extruders, conveyors, pumps, drying rooms, AHU & HVAC, Cooling towers and packaging machinery.
    • Operate, maintain, repair and optimise plant and associated equipment to ensure plant availability, cost, safety and product quality. 
    • Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on existing equipment to detect and address potential issues before they cause breakdowns. This involves tasks such as lubrication, cleaning, and replacing worn components like bearings, seals, and belts.
    • Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions in machinery. Dismantle defective machines and equipment, repair or replace faulty parts, and reassemble them to optimal performance.
    • Fabrication and Welding: Perform basic fabrication and welding (MIG, TIG, Stick) to create or repair machine parts as needed.
    • Safety and Compliance: Adhere strictly to all health, safety, and environmental regulations, including Lockout/Tagout & Tryout (LOTOTO) procedures, to maintain a safe work environment.
    • Documentation and Collaboration: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair work in a Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS). Collaborate with engineers, electricians, and production staff to solve complex problems and improve efficiency. 

    Essential Skills and Qualifications

    • Technical Skills: Strong mechanical aptitude, proficiency with hand/power tools, welding equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
    • Problem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve complex machinery issues quickly.
    • Physical Stamina: The ability to lift heavy objects (up to 20kg), work at heights or in confined spaces and stand for extended periods.

    Education/Experience:

    • Matric, minimum N3 Electr/mech/fitting/diploma or equivalent, followed by an apprenticeship program and Millwright trade certification (Red Seal certification).

    Sales Director: ST&B

    • You are accountable for growing sales across Southern Africa in line with the Tiger Brands’ growth strategy.     Internal Auditor: IT

    • To lead IT audit and analytics engagements across the company’s FMCG manufacturing and distribution environment. This role provides independent assurance on the effectiveness of IT controls over critical systems supports continuous auditing initiatives, and drives the use of analytics to proactively identify and monitor risks in supply chain, manufacturing, and commercial operations.

    Payroll Administrator

    • Responsible for providing accurate and timeous payroll data capture and administration processes whilst meeting Service Level Agreements i.e. ensuring that employees are paid correctly, on time and according to company policies, union negotiated agreements & legislation.
