    Role Purpose:

    • The role of Managing Executive: Digital Information Technology is to provide Information Technology leadership and specifically as it relates to the Vodacom Digital business requiring focus and acceleration of their deliverables.

    Managing Executive: Group Public Policy and Regulatory Affairs

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Identify, monitor and analyse policy and regulatory issues affecting Vodacom operating companies (DRC, Mozambique, Tanzania, Lesotho, Ethiopia, Kenya, South Africa). Devise proactive strategies to solve existing challenges and drive business growth.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    Must have professional qualifications:

    • Advanced Degree Public Affairs, Politics, Law and/or Economics
    • 10-15 years experience (including senior management experience) in telecommunications, banking or related highly regulated industry (i.e. similar socio-economic and security features dealing  with regulation, government / public sector relationship building, etc.)
    • Experience of senior leadership and management in a matrix organisation working with highly specialised experts.
    • Significant experience and track record of managing strategic outreach with a diverse set of stakeholders
    • Track record of identifying, monitoring and analysing policy and regulatory issues across African jurisdictions. Good understanding of policy and regulatory issues facing communication and financial service providers required.

    Agent Customer Acquisition

    Role Purpose

    • To process applications for credit vetting, activations and transfer of ownership; as escalated through the relevant customer acquisition workflow and queue management systems.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Principle Specialist : Logistics Operations

    Role Purpose

    The main purpose of this role is to ensure the effective forward and reversal of all project equipment in line of the agreed service level, ensuring that all movement is conducted on SAP EVO within Vodacom SA.  The role holder will be responsible and accountable to implement, manage, control and optimise the end-to-end equipment issuing and reversal including asset disposal recovery process for all network warehouses.  Compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations will be critical.The position will have to work in cross-functional teams including procurement and sourcing, regional warehousing, technical and finance. The candidate must have the ability to navigate a complex warehouse and inventory environment, this will enable the business to deliver on our customer promise and achieve our profit / cost targets

    Principal Specialist : Security Ops

    Role Purpose

    • Principal Specialist - Cyber Security Operations will provide the leadership to a team forensuring cybersecurity operations are proactively managed and implemented acrossVodacom Group.     Manager Risk & Compliance -Ins

    Role Purpose

    To assist the Executive Head of Compliance with the implementation and monitoring of insurance compliance and regulatory controls in the insurance companies and across other financial related services within the insurance group. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Regulatory and Legislative Compliance Monitoring, Analysis and Reporting
    • Establishing a regulatory framework for the insurance business and sensitizing relevant internal stakeholders.
    • Ability to translate and embedding the long-term regulatory requirements into business processes.
    • Document existing controls within the business processes in order to assess their adequacy and effectiveness.
    • Collate and analyse information from various sources in order to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the internal compliance controls. The information must be documented together with action items and control plans and communicated to relevant internal stakeholders.  
    • Engage with the outsourced service providers to assess levels of risk and compliance. Recommend areas of improvement and identify action items to be put in place to rectify areas of non-compliance. 
    • Compile monitoring reports and communicate findings to relevant stakeholders

    • Analyse complaints (internal and external) for trends and report’s findings to relevant stakeholders 
    • Liaise with External Regulatory Stakeholders ie. Various Ombuds, FSB, SARB etc. 
    • Engage with Internal (Project Support) and External (Regulator and/or Suppliers) business stakeholders. 

    Assist in the implementation of  the compliance training and awareness program

    • Assist management to create a compliance culture and with embedding compliance principles, values and sound business practice into existing training mediums
    • Assist management to create new mediums of communication to enhance compliance awareness and knowledge within the company

    Financial Services regulation analysis and documentation 

    • Assists with the analysis and documentation of regulatory compliance requirements especially as it relates to long-term insurance opportunities.
    • Develop risk management plans for relevant legislation and maintain a regulatory universe for insurance.

    Assessing the risk of changes to Regulatory Environment

    • Identify and track changes to existing and new laws

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • 3 year Degree or National Diploma essential in BCom, LLB, BA Law, or related and 
    • A minimum of 5 years relevant experience in risk and compliance within the insurance industry.

    Job Knowledge:

    • This requires specialist experience and knowledge of the Insurance Acts, FICA Acts and its subordinate regulations, PoPI Actand all associated laws and regulations pertaining to insurance industry.
