    Commercial Lead

    Role Purpose:

    • The Commercial Lead is responsible for delivering positive outcomes on Vodacom Business’s largest and most complex opportunities. This is a customer facing role that requires a deep understanding of Vodacom & Vodafone’s complex global products and solutions as well as the macro-economic factors that influence decision making. 
    • The Commercial Lead will need to understand the customer’s business and how multiple scenarios might evolve through the opportunity life-cycle.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Strategy Formulation and Execution:

    • Create a strong commercial strategy that delivers against the customer’s objectives, constantly evaluating win chance whilst also ensuring profitable growth for Vodacom and mitigating business risk.
    • Develop negotiation strategies using industry best-practice. Lead customer negotiations to achieve the best possible outcomes for Vodacom.

    Stakeholder Management:

    • Play a pivotal role in aligning a robust set of internal stakeholders behind a deal strategy that they have developed whilst driving the opportunity through to positive closure.

    The ideal candidate for this role will have:

    • Business / Finance or Telecoms related Bachelor´s Degree compulsory
    • Post Graduate or relevant professional qualifications desirable
    • 10 years of Telecommunication experience in Commercial, Finance, Sales or Operations, leading virtual teams in the delivery of complex, global projects
    • Data driven with strong analytical and insight focus. Good knowledge of Excel and SQL is desirable.

    Principal Proposition Management

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • Help Vodacom become the preferred partner of all SME businesses in their digitalization and transformation journey by providing leadership and hands-on direction to a cross-functional team of Product, Customer value management and Sales members to deliver relevant, market-leading propositions.
    • As Vodacom, we know the significant contribution SMME’s make to the economy and the important role these businesses play in the sustainability of our country and continent.     Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    Specialist: TCM Financial Services VodaP

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • To ensure that key financial and business objectives of the VodaPay business vertical within Vodacom Payment Services are met with regards to internal controls, reconciliations, financial reporting, and analysis.
    • Provide support to the Commercial, Operational and IT teams regarding the processes and controls required from a financial perspective. 

    Your responsibilities will include:

    Process and controls:

    • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly reconciliations and reporting are performed for Vodapay products
    • Ensure that invoicing, payments, refunds, chargebacks are correct, and the allocation thereof is correct in the accounting records
    • Capture signed off/approved reconciliations on to SAP for payment via MJUT

    Reporting

    Role Purpose/Business Unit:

    • The Storage Platforms Specialist is a key technical contributor responsible for the deployment, maintenance, and optimization of enterprise storage and server solutions. This role requires strong hands-on experience with SAN, NAS, and cloud storage technologies, as well as a solid understanding of virtualization and datacentre operations.
    • The specialist works closely with senior engineers, cross-functional teams, and vendors to ensure the storage infrastructure supports business needs with high performance, reliability, and scalability.

    Your responsibilities will include:

    • Deliver expert-level support and implementation of enterprise storage solutions, including Dell Networker, EMC Data Domain, and Dell storage arrays. Maintain and optimize SAN environments (Brocade & Cisco) and storage integration across platforms such as Windows, Red Hat Linux, AIX, and VMware.
    • Ensure the stability, performance, and availability of storage platforms by proactively monitoring systems, managing incidents, and executing maintenance activities. Use tools like DCA to apply patches, perform upgrades, and manage configuration changes.
    • Maintain and improve operational documentation, including procedures, runbooks, and RACI models. Contribute to the development of automation scripts and workflows to streamline storage operations.
