    Maintenance Coordinator

    Purpose

    To coordinate, facilitate and manage planned maintenance work execution by planning, organising and controlling activities relating to scheduled work. The role is also responsible for implementation of policies and strategies for the management of assets and equipment.

     Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Ensure that maintenance scheduling work packages are developed and work is executed as per the maintenance plan
    • Ensure that preventative and corrective maintenance is scheduled concurrently for execution
    • Ensure spares management process is in place, keep track of supply and materials inventories required for maintenance execution
    • Collaborate with the responsible maintenance crew leaders to ascertain if all of PEM’s equipment and tools are adequate for relevant maintenance tasks
    • Carry out daily resource capacity planning and allocating them to both preventative and corrective maintenance
    • Ensure visual management of daily maintenance activities through a scheduling board or electronic media
    • Organise, schedule and coordinate maintenance tasks of all external contractors and service providers
    • Ensure that all work is controlled via the work order system and that information is captured therein
    • Monitor and ensure completion of work by assigned staff and that contracted maintenance services meet specified outcomes and are appropriately documented
    • Perform planned job observations and ensure quality control standards are consistently met
    • Collect equipment data timeously, record and maintain it in the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) for easy retrieval and utilisation
    • Prepare and analyse maintenance scheduling reports with a view to addressing shortcomings regarding execution
    • Create and track progress on requisitions with the Procurement department
    • Assume the Asset Coordinator role which serves to accurately maintain the departmental asset register

     The Preferred Candidate is likely to have:

    • National Diploma (N6) in Engineering
    • Trade Test in Engineering
    • Planning and Scheduling course (added advantage)
    • 3 – 5 years in Maintenance Planning/Coordination or 5 – 8 years as a Maintenance Artisan

     Knowledge and Skills:

    • Mechanical & Electrical Engineering knowledge
    • Knowledge of CMMS
    • Knowledge of Occupational Safety and Health Act
    • Understanding of ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001

    Specialist Enterprise Architecture

    Purpose

    To design, implement and maintain an enterprise architecture capability necessary to assure alignment and leverage of information technology that will realize business objectives and information processing needs of the organization.

     Main Responsibilities (not limited to):

    • Provide enterprise-wide, IT-centric models intended to facilitate design decision-making and technology deployment optimization.
    • Facilitate systematic change by sequencing and designing initiatives appropriately, thereby creating common direction and synergies among stakeholders.
    • Leads the new technology adoption initiatives, including the execution plans, coordination and requisite change interventions.
    • Integrate the Enterprise and Modernize the Portfolio and provide a snapshot in time of SABN from a technological perspective.
    • Identify the required architecture tools, establish and maintain the Enterprise Architecture Repository across all domains, with due consideration of the SARB Group architecture.
    • Conduct architecture assessment to ensure that the choices of right and fit for purpose solutions.
    • Monitor technological trends in the industry and assists business cases for their integration into the organizational ICT plans.
    • Analyze and evaluate business long-term strategic and operating plans to ensure that the enterprise architecture plans are aligned to the long-term business objectives.
    • Assure quality for the end to end delivery of the solutions to business, ensuring that solution development process complies with appropriate architectural governance and standards.
    • Active involvement with Project Management to ensure ICT projects meet business requirements and end-state architecture plans.
    • Implement and run the architecture decision making through architecture review and design reviews mechanisms.

    The preferred candidate is likely to have:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology
    • 5 years’ experience ICT in an architecture role
    • Practical experience in Architecture frameworks (i.e. TOGAF/Zachman)
