Job Description:
The Living with Dignity Hub is a newly created unit within Anglo American South Africa to ensure that the organisation adopts a zero-tolerance approach to sexual harassment, harassment, bullying, victimisation, domestic violence and gender based-violence (SHBV, GBV & DV). In so doing, it enables complainants to make complaints using a survivor-centric approach to dealing with complaints of SHBV, GBV & DV underpinned by an absolute commitment to sensitive, expeditious, confidential and consistent procedures. It is a centralized group office suitably staffed to deal with related issues in the workplace and is responsible for guiding, monitoring and evaluating the implementation of the policy and the procedure.
To provide the Head of the Hub with project management support to enable the effective execution of the Hub’s functions emanating from the Hub’s mandate.
Safety, Health & Environment
- Display behavior in line with health, safety and environmental standards and with the Group’s values.
- Comply with the health, safety and environmental expectations for the Hub.
- Support relevant safety audits, inspections and observations.
Performance & Delivery
- Shape the Hub’s project portfolio based on evolution of the Hub.
- Execute key project related deliverables for the Hub aligned to the operating model of the Hub.
- Determine project prioritization, scoping and roadmap including design of projects and budget.
- Support systems design review and alignment where required.
- Manage the end-to-end project support processes for key activities assigned to the Hub.
- Prepare logistics for stakeholder engagement sessions including employee awareness campaigns to eliminate SHBV, GBV & DV throughout the organization; alignment sessions and training workshops.
Reporting Design
- Responsible for data design of the Hub reporting - dashboards, trends etc and work closely with Senior Case Manager to consolidate the data.
- Develop best approach to interpreting data and managing dashboards for effective decision making in the Hub and at a business leadership level.
- Design best approach to socialisation of data, both new data and ongoing data, to ensure impact, effectiveness and action.
- Work with, among others, Business Units and Functional HR teams as well as Anglo Business Assurance Services (ABAS), to ensure that relevant information that impacts the performance of the Hub is obtained, collated and securely stored (document management)
- Support management of secure reporting systems to ensure up to date records of cases (and case files) referred to the Hub.
Stakeholder Management
- Ensure alignment with key stakeholders in delivering projects.
- Maintain working relationships with key stakeholders in the dignity harm ecosystem.
Sustainability & Social
- Participate in operational reviews and planning in relation to the Hub and its programmes
- Participate in process review pertaining to cases referred to the Hub to align with an efficient and effective response strategy for all victims.
- Participate in strategic reviews and planning in relation to Anglo American’s efforts in advancing the Group’s South African social and sustainability objectives.
People & Teams
- Develop and maintain an effective, monthly and quarterly rhythm with the BU GBV managers to align of integrated approach.
- Proactively implement alignment projects with businesses (example safety strategy)
- Collaborate on cost effective initiatives to support Hub portfolio.
- Foster a productive and collaborative working environment with staff from other Group businesses and external partners in line with the Group’s values.
- Demonstrate behaviour in line with the Group’s values and standards.
- Identify opportunities for improved cost management and make related proposals.
Compliance
- Participate in the promotion and advancement of compliance with the Group BHV and related policies across all of Anglo American’s South African businesses.
Experience:
- 5- 8 Years relevant experience
Qualifications:
- Project management certification
- Relevant Bachelors/Undergraduate degree
Technical Skills/Knowledge
- Strong related experience of which some should be in an analytical role (preferably in mining industry) including interacting with senior team members and evidence of an ability to manage multiple tasks in Business Analysis
- Knowledge of administrative functions and stakeholder alignment processes
- Knowledge of governance processes and compliance processes to support organizational objectives
- Knowledge of project management processes & case management systems
- Advanced Microsoft packages
- Proven administratve experience in a team environment
- Ability to prioritise work appropriately
- Resilient and able to work under pressure

This role is in the Survey Department at a Band D1 level reporting to the Chief Surveyor.
Qualifications:
- Grade 12
- Advanced Chamber of Mines certificate (survey and valuation) and/or National Diploma
- BTech in Mineral Survey or BSc Mine Surveying (Advantageous)
- 5 years mining experience in underground or open cast environment.
- Driving License Code 8
Knowledge and Skills:
- Working knowledge of Microsoft package (Excel, Word & PowerPoint)
- Advance use of model maker
- Advance use of SURPAC and MicroStation
Be proficient in the use of the following equipment;
- Trimble GPS
- Scanning equipment
- Theodolite Surveys
- Levels
Scanning Software, Leica Cyclone, 3DR and Maptek.
- Experience in Engineering/Civil Survey is advantageous.
- Knowledge of usage of drone technology is advantageous.

As Principal Mining Engineer - Ops Excellence you will provide services as required and your responsibilities will include but not limited to:
- Ensuring that safety, health and environmental aspects and considerations are incorporated in the designs and project work conducted.
- Maintaining a strategy for mining processes, develop procedures and processes to implement the operational strategy and ensure operations are optimized through the strategy.
- Governance functions to ensure mine planning standards are developed, communicated, and adhered to and facilitated performance regarding requirements.
- Governance functions to ensure adherence to reporting standards and facilitate performance regarding requirements.
- Assisting with external stakeholder requests where appropriate to ensure the smooth and efficient running of survey processes to address and resolve issues promptly.
- Effectively share knowledge to support operational best practice.
- Ensuring alignment between projects and business optimization initiatives and the Kumba RDP (Resource Development Plans) and LOM (Life of Mine) plans.
- Supporting the implementation of projects within defined timescales and budgets to assure accuracy of cash flow forecast.
This role is in the Mining (MIN) discipline at a Band 5 level reporting to Manager Mining.
Qualifications:
- BEng Mining Engineering/Mining

Experience
- Strong experience conducting open-pit mining studies and projects (concept phase to implementation)

- Management experience at MTS Manger, Manager Mining level will be advantageous
