- Staking of holes to be drilled according to the blaster’s specifications.
- Measuring holes in the presence of the blaster.
- Assist the blaster in priming.
- Assisting the blaster in preparation of primers and suspension of the pre-split.
- Stemming holes in conjunction with blaster.
- Report any defects on checklists to blaster.
- Assist the blaster by spooling out cables.
- Take any lawful and reasonable instructions from the Supervisor or Foreman.
- Guarding against inadvertent entry to location where the blaster is taking place.

- Offloading explosives and accessories into bench storage boxes
