    Spares Clerk (Midrand)

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

     

    • Count, Pick, locate and pack/wrap/box parts for storage and distribution.
    • Offload supplier vehicles, load courier vehicles.
    • Check goods receipts against supplier delivery notes.
    • Endorse delivery notes for missing or damaged boxes.
    • Deliver and collect spares to and from the factory/distribution warehouse.
    • Cycle count of spare parts.
    • Maintain housekeeping

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • A minimum of Grade 12 with proven experience in a spares or similar environment.
    • Be able to work proficiently with figures.
    • Good communication skills and computer literacy (SAP and Microsoft office)

    CNC Programmer - Durban

    We are currently on search for a CNC Programmer who will be responsible for creating, modifying, and optimizing CNC programs to control machine tools and manufacturing processes. CNC programmer will be required to program vertical axis milling machine, EDM wire cutter and CNC lathe. They will be required to manage machinist’s actual vs theoretical job times and improve for better output.

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • N4 in Mechanical Engineering.
    • Toolmaker (Trade tested).
    • 5 years’ experience as a CNC programmer (preferably using EdgeCAM).
    • 5 years’ experience as a toolmaker/tool designer.
    • Project management experience.

    REQUIRED SKILLS

    • Create programs on Edgecam software.
    • Change tool designs on Inventor/ Siemens NX.
    • Create programs for CNC turret punch presses.
    • Good organization skills to manage and track machine and machinist efficiencies.
    • Assist in toolmaking problem solving.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: 

    • Programs completed on time to ensure machines are continuously working across allocated shifts.
    • Programs are debugged to ensure no damage to equipment.
    • Programs are created efficiently to ensure lifespan of equipment is maintained.
    • Ensure that the machining process is streamlined for optimal workflow between machines.
    • Ensure jobs coming off the machine are correct as per technical drawings.
    • Manage output of machinist to ensure machine efficiency is kept within agreed limits.
    • Track all items flowing through toolroom and report weekly on progress to toolroom management.

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Planning of material requirements for serial production,
    • Coordinating of supply chain for serial production materials from local and foreign suppliers,
    • Following inventory levels according to business targets,

    We are seeking self-motivated, energetic, and competitive B2B Sales Executive in Durban to grow the B2B customer base. The B2B Sales Executive will be responsible for achieving Defy’s revenue growth objectives.     Shift Leader – Press Shop

    We are currently on a search for a Shift Leader (Press Shop), who will provide support to the Production Manager in ensuring achievement of the Company’s Production Plan

    KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Take initiative in all matters relating to the successful running of the factory in consultation with the Production Manager.
    • Ensuring that hygiene and quality standards are maintained.
    • Ensure that work instructions relative to this process as laid out by Quality Management requirements are adhered to and that the products conform to the manufactured specifications and quality standards.
    • Be conversant with and ensure compliance with quality assurance standard.
    • Manage the shift on duty and supply parts on OTIF basis.
    • Complete shift records and report non-conformances to the Production Manager at the end of each shift.

    • Experience in DMAIC implementation process
    • Computer literacy and presentation skills
    • Have a good understanding of process flow (Press shop, Fabrication, Paint, Enamel and Assembly)
    • Experience in Press Tools (setting), transfer systems and tools maintenance process
