About the Role: As the Senior Manager Safety, you will:

• Lead the development and deployment of consistent safety management systems and tools across Gold Fields, ensuring alignment with best practices and operational needs.
• Support the Vice President Safety in driving the successful execution of the safety improvement plan through collaborative leadership and strategic oversight.
• Collaborate with teams across the group to integrate safety standards into all operational activities.
• Establish a unified induction and onboarding process for all employees and business partners.
• Assist with the design and implementation of a comprehensive system for managing the safety performance of business partners.
• Lead change management initiatives addressing technical, cultural, and social aspects within the company.
• Standardise incident reporting and learning processes, ensuring effective action management and assurance.
• Consolidate safety reporting into a single platform, enhancing predictive safety analytics.
• Deliver programs to enhance safety culture, focusing on leadership, supervision, and operational excellence.
• Develop and manage talent within the safety discipline, ensuring the team has the necessary skills and knowledge.

About you:

• Relevant qualifications in safety.
• Extensive industry experience, with international exposure being highly regarded.
• Recent experience in safety management within the resources sector.
• Proven track record in collaborating with multifunctional management teams.
• Experience in developing and executing strategic plans and leading change initiatives.

Your Role:

You’ll lead the charge in Critical Risk Management, developing and implementing best practices to ensure an unwavering focus on critical hazards and their controls. This includes:

• Standardising tools & processes for critical risk management across all assets,
• Embedding Critical Risk Management into daily operations,
• Establishing common verification approaches for critical controls,
• Driving governance & assurance for quality control verifications,
• Strengthening risk management capacity across Gold Fields, and,
• Ensuring critical risk data monitors the performance and informs real-time, risk-based decision-making.

What You Bring:

• Relevant qualifications in safety or risk management,
• Extensive industry experience (international exposure highly regarded),
• Proven leadership in safety & risk within the resources sector,
• Strong collaboration skills – working across diverse teams, and,
