  • UX Designer

    Responsibilities:

    • Working collaboratively with the team to better understand customers' needs through analytics, research and direct observation
    • Making customer-driven recommendations to improve the overall user experience

    • Working with senior designers to develop product concepts and product designs while following design best practices

    Requirements:

    • Have excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to build successful and collaborative relationships
    • Have a great working knowledge of User design software (Axure, Sketch, Invsion)
    • Have good interaction design skills and attention to detail

    PG Editorial Associate (US)

    What you’ll do:

    • Set up and participate in customer discovery sessions
    • Create reports and presentations using available data
    • Generate contracts for outside author manuscripts / other outside author-related tasks
    • Learn and apply basic editorial legal editing tools and tasks

    Strategy Analyst

    Duties and responsibilities

    The Strategy Analyst will:

    • Work with all team members across the business, to define and build the organizational and analytical processes that will drive the strategy function for Lexis Nexis South Africa.
    • Execute on pillar workplans and deliver on key analyses and projects, including multiple types of market analysis, competitive analysis, internal financial analysis, financial modeling, and scenario planning
    • Maintain and update strategic scorecard and other tools to assess and drive high-quality execution of business strategy
    • Perform certain analyses independently, as needed

    Analytical/Decision-Making Responsibilities:

    • Strong analytical skills, including data analysis and problem-solving
    • Supports the development of a point of view on the current state of the practice by overseeing and conducting research, interviews, and fact-based quantitative analysis
    • Supports identification of key market dynamics that will impact the business over the agreed upon planning horizon
    • Determine appropriate decision-making processes to answer critical question

    Essential Requirements:

    • Awareness of key economic and capital markets issues as well as other business trends that could impact the organisation

    Intermediate Software Engineer

    Responsibilities;

    • Write and review portions of detailed specifications for the development of system components of moderate complexity.
    • Complete simple bug fixes.
    • Work closely with other development team members to understand product requirements and translate them into software designs.
    • Operate in various development environments (Agile, Waterfall, etc.) while collaborating with key stakeholders.
    • Resolve technical issues as necessary.
    • Keep abreast of new technology developments.
    • All other duties as assigned.

    Requirements:

    • 4-years Relevant experience for the position level 
    • BS Engineering/Computer Science or equivalent experience required.
    • Strong knowledge of agile software development methodologies and repository management tools such as Git.
    • Ability to work in one or more of the following technologies: .Net Core (C#), Java, Angular and/ or React.
    • Knowledge of test-driven development. 
    • Good oral and written communications skills. 
    • Relevant technical expertise in the above areas for this position level.
