The Opportunity
As part of a global team of over 150 graphic specialists you will work alongside international project teams to design and layout impactful presentations and solve problems creatively. In this role, you are first and foremost a business communicator who collaborates with partners and consultants to transform concepts into compelling visual presentations.
You are providing weekend coverage to our global consulting teams. We are flexible with the working hours but working on Saturday and Sunday is mandatory plus at least one additional day.
You should apply if you are highly motivated, willing to learn new things, have an aesthetic eye, excellent attention to detail and are fluent in written and spoken English. You are also deadline driven, organised and understand how people view and understand content.

We will count on you to:
- Write and structure client presentations/reports which typically require a high level of customization.
- Perform data analysis using advanced dynamic Excel modelling.
- Draw conclusions from the data for project managers’ and senior consultants’ review.

- Review financial and compensation data analyses prepared by analysts, ensuring it is accurately calculating desired information.
- Oversee the development of methodology by analysts and manage small to medium engagements.
- Provide guidance to project team analysts and ensures timely delivery of work and achievement of project objectives.
- Manage smaller projects and workstreams of larger client projects. May lead additional internal projects as needed and participates in business development by supporting project plan development and pricing.
- Serve as a day-to-day client contact for project areas including methodology, data requests and data management.
- Act as a liaison between the Mercer project team and the client secondary contact (i.e., compensation analyst). Participate in meetings with clients, including fact-finding interviews and presentations.
- Uses Mercer’s proprietary tools (e.g., Global Disclosure Database which houses info compiled from public filings from many organizations across multiple industries; PayMonitor which is the delivery tool for Mercer surveys globally, including both compensation and total reward surveys, used to query, view and export survey statistics for actual and regressed market data, and to generate custom survey reports) and public filings to gather pay practices and policies. May also research other sources to solicit industry knowledge, company news, competitor reports on high level/ industry trends, etc.
- Develop and reviews peer groups - lists of organizations against which the client organization is compared (e.g., based on revenue, brand, industry, etc.) and/or are the client’s direct competitors.
What you need to have:
- Must hold a Bachelor's Degree
- Minimum of 8-10 years demonstrable working experience
- Have HR value chain knowledge, specifically Rewards background
- Previous experience in a consulting and client facing role

We will count on you to:
- Administer remuneration surveys and other products, across various African countries together with a client service team.
- Survey administration includes client canvassing, data collection, data cleaning and reporting. Some high-level client analysis also required from time to time.

The role: Claims Advisor
The Claims Advisor is a claims handler, who can independently service clients. Receives new claims from clients and/or colleagues to review, process, collect information and notify all appropriate insurers. Role identifies and validates coverage information, updates core claims applications, and tracks the process through to completion of each claim’s movement or until finalization of the Marsh responsibilities agreed with the client. Role will manage, facilitate, and action all subsequent movements or activities, including settlement or payment as appropriate and reporting, through to completion of the claim. Will also handle or assist others on more complex matters, acting as a technical referral point. Finally, role provides procedural advice to clients as necessary and manages a portfolio of complex or significant value claims, or client transactions.
