Your Purpose...
- Is to “change people’s lives for the better through wellness”;
- We deliver social wellness experiences that enable people to meet their personal wellness goals, through holistic physical, mental nutritional and social wellbeing.
- The Regional Athletic Leads will be responsible for recruiting instructors and delivering training in functional training (Strength & Conditioning, Liftclub & Hyrox) and boxing related disciplines within the Virgin Active group exercise environment, while building a community, and serving as iconic regional leaders for each GEX (group exercise) stream.
- They will also be responsible for ensuring that we have exceptional GEX trainers scheduled on our timetable who meet the Virgin Active standards. This ensures correct vetting and quality assurance processes have been followed appropriately. Leads are encouraged to teach a maximum of 5 classes a week (compensated accordingly).
Your Duties and Responsibilities...
- Recruitment of instructors/coaches and deliver training in the focused areas for the Academy as a Master Trainer as scheduled by the Regional Product Training Manager.
- Build a GEX community within clubs
- Instructors who have followed the Virgin Active quality assurance, vetting and development programmes who are of exceptional standard, will be considered for scheduled classes on our timetable.
- Serve as an iconic brand and product regional leader for Grid, functional training & boxing.
- Accountable for in club and class quality assurance within the region.
- Structure club visits and assessments monthly to enable clubs to deliver on various product developments
- Accountable for the quality assessment of no less than three instructors a week.
- Provide feedback and actively ensure continual development is delivered to the instructors/coaches.
- Actively support instructors through the instructor development pathway.
- Assume accountability for brand standards, and support on project & capex rollout as required.
- Stand in to deliver project management of concept rollouts, following the “Product Roll Out” plan.
- Be the brand ambassador for Virgin Active at/in marketing, PR, trade shows, conferences, and events as our SA expert.
- To deliver one in club masterclass / workshop, and or product event monthly.
- To deliver filming sessions in the studio if required for training & commercial persons.
- Advocate safety and ensure an overall safe environment for members and instructors.

- To maintain control of the Club-V environment.
- To report any incidents immediately to your MOD and/or Club-V Co-ordinator.
- To correctly control stock within the Club-V facility including toys, arts & crafts, disposables/consumables, cleaning aids, movement equipment, games, puzzles, books etc. using the relevant checklists in the Mntwana Box.

Duties and Responsibilities....

- Our collections agents are responsible for handling arrear memberships telephonically or via written correspondence
- It is their responsibility to collect arrears by using the in-house collections methodology and ensure these clients remain part of the Virgin Active family
- Dealing with member queries and complaints on all levels in a competent, efficient, and professional way, in accordance with the quality and performance standard. All dealings with members must be in alignment with the company culture and values
- Working cross functionally with other department leaders to ensure that the objectives of the business are being met and outcomes are being delivered
