    Quality Systems Technician - Shatterprufe, Neave

    Main job purpose

    To facilitate and coordinate all quality and customer specific requirement to ensure products, process and systems meet customer expectations, resulting in business continuity.
     
    Main Objective

    • To coordinate and conduct internal and external audits to ensure that all requirements applicable to the automotive industry are achieved and maintained throughout the whole supply chain, on an ongoing basis.
    • To identify, investigate and resolve quality related problems, using world class problem solving techniques, to ensure that quality standards are maintained; overall customer satisfaction is achieved; and organisational brand integrity is up-held.
    • To liaise and build effective working relationship with key stakeholders; including suppliers and customers; in order to improve supplier efficiencies and quality  to ensure overall customer satisfaction in relation to quality standards.

    Material Handling Equipment Manager - PFG

    Main job purpose

    • Responsible for the control and maintenance of all glass material handling and stocking equipment and scales within the PFG organisation and to support PFG customers with their glass handling needs by supplying and installing relevant equipment.

    Main Objective

    • Responsible for the procurement of all spare parts in the department to ensure safe and reliable operational vehicles and equipment in a cost effective and efficient manner.
    • Responsible for compiling budgets and controlling spend within the approved budget, by monitoring and reporting on a monthly basis.
    • Liaise and place orders with specialist contractors for services to assist with maintenance and compliance with legal requirements.
    • Oversee the repairs and maintenance of vehicles and equipment to ensure availability, productivity and reliability in a cost effective manner,  including forklifts, PFG trucks, trailers, stand by diesel engines, side loaders, pallets, A- Frames, side grabs and weigh bridges. 
    • Manage suppliers and contractors employed to ensure that specialist repair or manufacturing of equipment complies to ISO 9002 standards.
    • Ensure that the statutory tests and checks are performed on all lifting equipment as required.
    • Use and improve the planned maintenance system (SAP) to ensure all work is recorded and reported. Additional recording to be done to ensure that optimum maintenance is performed.
    • Purchase and maintain glass handling equipment for both PFG and customers' grabs, jibs slings and A-Frames.
    • Manage the labour for both garage and pallet refurbishing workshop.
    • Manage the annual budget of R7m and the value of pallets under his control is R170m  
    • Responsible for the effective development and management of competent staff through a performance review processes, identifying and executing training needs. 
    • Ensure that PFG constantly achieves world class manufacturing standards by keeping abreast of the latest technologies, materials and methods.
    • Responsible for compliance and implementation of Occupational Health & Safety Act and regulations as well as Company policies and standards.

    Main job purpose

    • To monitor and control the debtors accounts to ensure that payments are made in accordance with the Group credit policy and procedures.

    Main Objective

    Main job purpose

    • To manufacture good laminated glass and achieve the daily production targets while ensuring uninterrupted supply of raw material to the production lines and finished goods to the customers.

    • Supply raw materials (glass and vinyl) to the production line
    • Flop glass and feed the glass into the washing machines
    • Assemble the glass and vinyl
    • Off-load the assembled laminate onto a cage

    Automation Technician - Neave

    Main job purpose

    • Responsible for supporting production teams in their delivery of products and services by providing electrical support and assuming responsibility for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair of all electronic, electrical and computer-based equipment including backups of all engineering related software in order to maintain uptime on all electronic machines while ensuring that costs are contained and minimised.

    • Responsible for carrying out root cause analysis sessions on recurring problems of machine control systems with a multi-disciplined team to prepare fault finding logs/ tables from root cause problem solving and drive the implementation of the agreed upon changes and innovations.
    • Responsible for maintaining all software programmes and keep abreast of version changes and updates from OEM’s or service providers so as reduce the impact of these changes while maintaining uptime and containing costs. 
    • Provide customer support and education, working with users to identify needs, determine source of problem and to provide information on product use.
