PURPOSE OF ROLE

• The Recruitment Officer is responsible for delivering quality recruitment and selection services to all departments within Lesedi and provide administrative support to the recruitment team.

 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

• Effective delivery of Recruitment & selection services for Lesedi in line with policies, procedures, best practice and legislative requirements:
• Conducting interviews and ensuring sound recommendations to the HR Manager for appointment
• Providing quality recruitment services such as ensuring that appropriate recruitment plans or strategies in place, well written adverts.
• Appropriate advice offered to line managers on all recruitment matters
• Accurate and regular reporting on recruitment campaigns
• Liaison with Line management on all recruitment related matters and ensuring that they are being kept up to date on the status of their campaigns.
• Advising on recruitment in line with resource plan, EE requirements and Lesedi’s stance on transformation.
• Devising sourcing strategies for suitable candidates for critical positions.
• Recruitment Administrative support
• Ensuring proper documentation control procedures are adhered to (from initiating of recruitment campaign to final close-out).
• Professional and efficient administrative support provided on recruitment campaigns (logistics, communication, coordination)
• Performing all background checks and facilitating of pre-employment checks before appointment
• Processing of offers
• Assisting with sign-on processes where necessary
• Maintaining the CV database

 QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Human Resource Management
• Minimum of 3 years’ recruitment experience within engineering, mining, petrochemical, nuclear and construction industries
• Recruitment agency experience would be beneficial
• Valid Driver’s License.

Postgraduate Diploma in Nuclear Science and Technology:

This PGDip focuses on teaching the theory that prepares students for the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Sciences with Nuclear Engineering, which focuses on the optimization of nuclear reactor design. Candidates should have the following minimum requirements:

• A degree such as the BEng or BIng, BSc (Eng), or equivalent qualification that exits at NQF level 8; or
• A three-year BSc degree with Physics at third-year level and at least one of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics; or
• Computer Science at least second-year level (exits at NQF level 7); or
• A BTech (Engineering) degree that exits at NQF level 7 with an average grade of at least 60% for the final year or a BEngTech (Engineering) degree that exits at NQF level 8 with an average of at least 60%

Postgraduate Diploma in Nuclear Science and Technology with Nuclear Technology Management:

This PGDip focuses on teaching the theory that prepares students for the Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Engineering Sciences with Nuclear Engineering and Nuclear Technology Management degree, which focuses on the optimization of Nuclear Technology Management. Candidates should have the following minimum requirements:

• A degree such as the BEng or BIng, BSC (Eng) or equivalent qualification that exits at NQF level 8; or
• A three-year BSc degree with Physics at, at least second-year level and at least one of Mathematics, Applied Mathematics or Computer Science at, at least second-year level (exits at NQF level 7); or

The selected candidates will embark on theoretical learning at the North-West University in Potchefstroom. Upon Successful completion, the practical and work-based learning will be carried out at Lesedi's offices

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Project Manager is responsible for the management and overall performance of various projects by positively contributing to the successful delivery of industrial projects aligned to the Project Charter, baselines and agreements.

 KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

•  Manage multi-disciplinary projects within project budget, time scale and contractual quality deliverables.
• Assess and identify areas for improvement.
• Initiate procurement and monitor material receipt.
• Manage the establishment of the project team and allocation of tasks and responsibilities across functional areas.
• Compile project client quality plan in conjunction with the quality department and obtain client approval.
• Manage safety in terms of personnel, equipment and environment.
• Control project scope throughout the project life cycle to ensure output meets contractual requirements.
• Maintain project schedules for assigned projects.
• Implement and manage project changes and variations to achieve project outputs.
• Establish and maintain relationships with clients, subcontractors, third parties and vendors.
• Responsible for overall project financial performance.
• Compilation of management and client reports as per agreed requirements of the process and the specific contract requirement.
• Responsible for overall project compliance to quality standards.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Qualified Mechanical or Electrical Engineer with professional registration (ECSA or equivalent).
• Certified qualification in project management equivalent to or certified Project Management Professional based on PMBOK principals.
• Pr CPM will be advantageous.
• Minimum 10 years Project Manager or related experience in electrical/mechanical/civil engineering in the nuclear/energy industry.
• Must have experience with NEC Contracts
• Have practical site construction experience.
• Must have a proven track record of delivering projects successfully.
• Must have a proven track record of delivering on larger projects.
• PMP or related qualification will be advantageous.

PURPOSE OF ROLE

 The Project Coordinator is ultimately responsible for the successful technical execution of the project. The key focus of the Project Coordinator on the Steam Generator Replacement project is to oversee logistics - the arrangement for plant, equipment & materials. The Project Coordinator also controls the execution of activities and implementation of documentation and Client handovers.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

The successful candidate’s responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Compile/review/approve Site Implementation Documents and other project documentation as authorised.
• Provide input for planning & scheduling functions – schedule, PTWs & SAP orders.
• Utilise DR & CN process for any changes required to the approved SIDs & design.
• Obtain materials required for implementation, receipt inspection (with QC), organising of storage and transmittal of materials & tools.
• Provide technical leadership to the Supervisor and rest of the project team for execution phase.
• Promotes safe work practices and quality work always.
• Perform on site job observations when required.
• Performs Pre-CSC & CSC inspections.
• Technical closing out of project, EIR compilation, record keeping & EIR handover.
• Tracking progress to ensures delivery within the stipulated timeframe.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

•  Artisan / Technician (National Certificate) + 5 years related experience OR
• Technician (Engineering diploma - ND) + 3 years related experience OR
• Technologist (Technical engineering degree or HND) + 2 years related experience
• Computer Literate.
• Experience in the nuclear field is advantageous.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• BSc (Eng) or B Eng degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Registered with ECSA as a Professional Engineer.
• Minimum 10 years relevant multi-disciplinary project design experience, especially in the Power
• Generation Industry
• Working knowledge of OHS Act and the Regulations
• Working knowledge of the Environmental Legislation
• Working knowledge of SANS & IEC codes, Safety Management Standards and ISO 9001
• Knowledge and experience with the South African Grid Code
