    Recruitment Officer

    PURPOSE OF ROLE

    • The Recruitment Officer is responsible for delivering quality recruitment and selection services to all departments within Lesedi and provide administrative support to the recruitment team.

     KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Effective delivery of Recruitment & selection services for Lesedi in line with policies, procedures, best practice and legislative requirements:
    • Conducting interviews and ensuring sound recommendations to the HR Manager for appointment
    • Providing quality recruitment services such as ensuring that appropriate recruitment plans or strategies in place, well written adverts.
    • Appropriate advice offered to line managers on all recruitment matters
    • Accurate and regular reporting on recruitment campaigns
    • Liaison with Line management on all recruitment related matters and ensuring that they are being kept up to date on the status of their campaigns.
    • Advising on recruitment in line with resource plan, EE requirements and Lesedi’s stance on transformation.
    • Devising sourcing strategies for suitable candidates for critical positions.
    • Recruitment Administrative support
    • Ensuring proper documentation control procedures are adhered to (from initiating of recruitment campaign to final close-out).
    • Professional and efficient administrative support provided on recruitment campaigns (logistics, communication, coordination)
    • Performing all background checks and facilitating of pre-employment checks before appointment
    • Processing of offers
    • Assisting with sign-on processes where necessary
    • Maintaining the CV database

     QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

    • Diploma or Degree from a recognized institution, preferably in Human Resource Management
    • Minimum of 3 years’ recruitment experience within engineering, mining, petrochemical, nuclear and construction industries
    • Recruitment agency experience would be beneficial
    • Valid Driver’s License.

    COMPETENCIES

    • Expert knowledge of best practice recruitment policies and procedures
    • Good knowledge of recruitment assessment tools and procedures
    • Expert knowledge of legislation covering recruitment
    • Good communication skills, verbal and written
    • Good knowledge of employment contracts
    • Able to demonstrate high degree of professionalism and confidentiality
    • Able to plan prioritise and organize
    • Good time management skills
    • Excellent interpersonal skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Pro-active, innovative and creative
    • Customer Orientated
    • Sense of urgency
