    General Worker (Afrimat Aggregates Operations – Dennegeur Quarry – Paarl)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Attributes:

    • Minimum Grade 9, but Grade 12 will be advantageous
    • Be literate and functionally num
    • Pre-employment medical required
    • Ability to stand for long periods
    • Ability to see well and distinguish between back up alarms, voices, and other normal sounds consistent with construction job sites
    • Assist with manual labour and plant maintenance

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    • Ensure that the plant is cleaned regularly and as when required
    • Assist with general maintenance tasks on and around the pl
    • Maintain the cleanliness of the general working area i.e. cleaning of screens, etc
    • Carry out other instructions given by your superior
    • Report any general elementary problems to his/her immediate supervisor
    • Adhere to all SHE rules and regulations that are applicable on the site

    Welder (Afrimat Aggregates Operations – Denver)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience

    • Grade 12 (Technical qualification will be advantageous)
    • At least 3 – 5 years’ experience in a similar environment
    • Pre-employment medical required and be physically fit
    • Valid drivers license
    • Commitment to safety and adherence to protocols
    • Good knowledge of tools and lubrication process
    • Trade tested Welder

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Maintain professional workmanship standards at all times
    • Strictly adhere to applicable quality assurance and procedures
    • Repair equipment as well as delivery truck fleet within specification and agreed repair times
    • Conduct troubleshooting, fault finding and maintenance equipment
    • Ensure complete, accurate and timeous job card feedback and repair reports are maintained
    • Perform machine inspections equipment as well as compile backlog list
    • Supervise assistants to carry out first line of maintenance tasks
    • Managing and maintaining tools in good serviceable conditions
    • Use personal protective equipment in accordance with the policies and prescriptions.
    • To work overtime when required, provided such requirement is reasonable and within the law.

    Diesel Mechanic (Afrimat Lyttelton)

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):

    • Working knowledge of all earthmoving machinery (mobile plant, loaders, dumpers, excavators, LDVs, mobile crushing and screening machines)
    • Perform first line maintenance task on all yellow fleet.
    • Perform first line of breakdown repairs on plant and equipment.
    • Assist with general duties assigned by Fleet Manager.
    • Develop, modify, construct, and install related equipment required for the safe operation of all engineering equipment.
    • Diagnosis, troubleshooting, fault finding and repair.
    • Ordering of spares.
    • Complete risk assessments.
    • Good experience in hydraulics (fault finding as well as changing cylinders)
    • Working knowledge of hydraulic pumps.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Grade 12 certificate or N4 equivalent.
    • Have an applicable trade certificate as a Diesel Mechanic.
    • 5 years + experience as a Diesel Mechanic.
    • Computer literate – ability to open job cards.
    • Basic computer skills (MS Word, Excel).
    • Basic electrical knowledge (auto electrical).
    • Working knowledge of different tools.
    • Ability to work on RSG, oil sampling as well as lubricating.
    • Basic welding – Advantageous.
    • Spray painting – Advantageous.
    • Supervisory skills (Team leader) – Advantageous.
    • Driver’s License.

    Key Accounts Sales Manager

    Responsibilities include (but not limited to the following):

    • Customer retention and growing of customer base.
    • Budget preparations and customer price reviews.
    • Compile daily sales reports.
    • Nurture good relationships with internal sales clerk, plant, production, and dispatch teams.
    • Preparation of sales quotes.
    • Bi-weekly and monthly forecasts.

    Engineering Systems Coordinator (Afrimat Shared Services)

    Minimum Qualifications / Experience / Attributes:

    • BEng/BSc/BTech Degree in Industrial or Electrical Engineering (or similar/relevant);
    • Based in Lyttelton, Centurion, Gauteng
    • Willing to travel to our Afrimat sites
    • Have own vehicle and driver’s license
    • Willing and fast learner, with a self-driven attitude
    • The candidate must be medically fit in terms the Mine Health and Safety Act

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    The Engineering Systems Coordinator will form part of the Afrimat Engineering division and will have the following responsibilities under an Industrial engineer’s supervision:

    • Collaborate with operational staff to ensure operational technologies provide value
    • Assisting in the development of new systems and technologies to improve operational performance
    • Conducting tests and debugging systems
    • Collaborating with cross-functional teams
    • Troubleshooting and resolving technical issues on systems deployed on sites
    • Assisting in the maintenance and improvement of existing systems
    • Learning and staying up to date with new technologies and engineering techniques
    • At least 2 years operational experience
    • Basic understanding of software development and programming will be advantageous
    • Outstanding records of academic achievement
    • Exceptional analytical and quantitative problem-solving skills
    • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
    • Ability to communicate complex ideas effectively – both verbally and in writing

    Duties and Responsibilities:

    The purpose of this position is to help achieve Afrimat’s vision and objectives by leading the implementation of maintenance management processes supported by On Key across the organization to enhance operational efficiency and to oversee the configuration and setup of software to align with business processes effectively.
