Introduction

• The Engineering & Related Design Level 2 – 4 course is the integrated course which is guided by the vocational needs of the industry and the country. Introduction

Introduction

• Office Administration is a course aimed at the student who would like to obtain a qualification in the administration of the office environment. Students gain practical and theoretical experience in office-based activities. They spend a minimum of two hours a week in our Simulated Enterprise where they get the opportunity to get hands-on experience of all administrative functions they will encounter in a job environment. In their final year (Level 4) our students undergo at least 5 days of work placement to gain practical experience in the “real world”. This qualification also allows access to further studies where Gr. 12 or Level 4 is stated as minimum entrance requirements.

Introduction

• Issues a National Certificate Vocational NC(V) Safety in Society after successfully completing level 4. Students can apply for a career in the Criminal Justice System such as the South African Police Force, South African National Defence Force, Correctional Services, Traffic, Metro Police or Law Enforcement Agency should they comply to the minimum Safety in Society requirements.

General

• Full time lectures run from 08:00 15:45 Monday to Thursday and 08:00 13:30 on Fridays. Students are required to obtain an ISAT (Practical) and ICASS (Theory) mark during the year to be allowed to register for the final examination. External Examinations are written at the end of each Level (year) during November of each year. Supplementary Examination is during February / March of the next year for subjects failed in November.
