    Marketing Level 2 – 4: National Certificate

    Introduction

    • What is Marketing in a nutshell? In a nutshell the student who completes this programme will be able to assist in marketing related activities in the marketing field such as conduct market research, identify markets, and create promotional materials and present marketing proposals. This student can continue with further studies or find full time employment. This programme integrates theoretical learning with practical skills. Which are the fundamental subjects? The 3 fundamental subjects are: Language which must at least be a language of teaching and learning, Mathematics or Mathematical Literacy and Life Orientation. What are the vocational subjects in Marketing? The vocational subjects in Marketing are: Advertising & Promotions Marketing, Marketing Communications, Consumer Behaviour and Contact Centre Operations

    General

    • These subjects are offered at each of the different NQF Levels of study in the National Certificate (Marketing) qualification. What Vocational activities would this give you access to? The holder of the National Certificate (Vocational) Marketingwill be able to: Market new products Sell goods and services Research needs of customers and develop products Determine pricing, packaging, sales, promotions and distribution Guide consumers on products and brands Advertise and promote new products & services
