    Receptionist - Central Office – Ref: TNC/CO/25-01/4

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Matric certificate or NC(V) Level 4 certificate in Office Administration, N6 Certificate or Diploma/Degree in Office Administration.
    • At least two (2) years’ work experience/exposure as a switchboard operator or as a Receptionist.
    • Excellent communication skills, interpersonal relations, client focus and innovative thinking. Ability to work under pressure with little or no supervision.
    • Adherence to Batho Pele principles, telephone etiquette, good interpersonal relations. Computer Literacy (knowledge of MS packages).

    DUTIES:

    • Responsible for the campus reception. Control switchboard operations by making / receiving and forwarding calls.
    • Provide clerical support. Manage / control the photocopy machines. Distribute correspondence to the relevant officials.
    • Manage and administer requests for stationery and keep proper record thereof. Render general administrative support services to the campus including typing of documents.
    • Electronic and manual filling. Data capturing and binding. Participation in overall college record management.
    • Stock taking where required. Relief services in the offices of managers. Circulation and updating of emergency procedures and numbers.

    Data Capturers ( X2 ) - Pretoria Campus – Ref: TNC/PC/25-01/3

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Senior Certificate or equivalent plus an appropriate National Diploma in Management Assistant/Office Administration or any relevant field. 18 months experience in student administration. Knowledge of computer hardware, software and programs. Practical knowledge of the Adapt IT [ITS] system.

    DUTIES: 

    • Capture students’ registration data into the ITS system from available records.
    • Provide administrative support to the Head of Department by capturing student marks, weekly attendance etc. into the ITS system.
    • Verify query missing data errors observed during data entry. Review and validate all data from records.
    • Submit data, Make regular backups of data. Update registers and statistics.
    • Keep and maintain records and files. Ensure records are properly sorted and secured. Provide information to faculties/divisions as and when required.

    Marketing Officer – Central Office – Ref: TNC/CO/25-01/2

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Senior Certificate or equivalent plus a Diploma/Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations/ Journalism/ Communication Science/ Marketing or related field. A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in the field of communication and marketing. A valid driver’s license. 

    DUTIES: 

    • Arrange and provide support to outreach internal programs of the College. Develop annual marketing and communication strategies aligned with the college’s vision and goals. Identification and placement of all print, radio and publication material. Networking with the advertising industry. 
    • Develop visual marketing material. Develop and produce college publications, i.e. banners, information brochures, annual reports, pamphlets and programme information. Manage public relations and media liaison services. Manage all media and general community liaison and communications. Proof reading and editing of external written publications and articles. 
    • Manage all college events including exhibition participation, official functions and special marketing events. Coordinate media queries and responses as and when required. Track all the positive and negative stories about the college captured on social media platforms/newspapers and forward to the relevant managers for official responses
    • where required. Provide photographic services and write stories for the college. Draft articles for the divisions/campuses/college’s electronic newsletter and website updates. Take pictures at the events that will form part of the news article. Marketing the college through branding at these events. Take a role of sub-editor of the electronic newsletter. 
    • Gather all articles from colleagues and college activities. Submit articles for compilation, verify and forward for approval. Management of human, financial and other resources of the sub-unit. Manage the performance agreements and performance assessments of subordinates. Oversee, monitor, evaluate and respond to queries on official social media and online communication platforms. 
    • Regularly maintain the content, design and layout of the college website. Coordinate college events and provide communication administrative support across delivery sites. Oversee the dissemination of electronic and hard copy materials to relevant stakeholders; Ensure document management support and storage of communication materials and equipment.

    Education Counsellor Central Office – Ref: TNC/CO/25-01/1

    REQUIREMENTS: 

    • Senior Certificate or equivalent plus an Honours Degree in Psychology/Counselling/Social Work or a related field. A Masters Degree will be an added advantage. Registration with a relevant professional body like the Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA) or South African Council for Social Service Professions (SACSSP/Council). 
    • A minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in student counselling, academic advising, or a similar role, preferably within the TVET or higher education sector. A valid driver’s license with at least three years’ experience. Attributes and Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills; Empathy and the ability to work with a diverse student population; Excellent problem-solving and conflict resolution abilities; Knowledge of the TVET curriculum and understanding of student challenges. 
    • Must be prepared to take and implement instructions delegated by supervisors/managers. Proven computer literacy, including advanced MS Word, MS Excel and MS PowerPoint. Proven ability to effectively manage change. The incumbent must be willing to travel, work irregular hours and be committed to meeting deadlines within tight timeframes.

    DUTIES: 

    • The duties of an Education Counsellor will primarily include Consult with students: Meet with students individually or in groups to discuss their academic progress. Address specific career goals and personal issues that potentially influence each student's academic performance. Guide academic and career goals: Assist students in setting academic and career goals and creating a plan to achieve them. 
    • Provide information and offer advice about different career paths, on-course activities and options for continuing education/exit support. Administer and interpret assessments: Providing recruitment, psychometric assessment, and selection services. 
    • Administer and interpret various assessments such as aptitude and personality tests, and interest inventories for students to gain insight into their strengths and weaknesses and make informed decisions about their future. Develop and implement academic and personal support programs: Support students academically and personally, including tutoring, mentoring and counselling on a personal level and provide early intervention. 
    • Provide resources and referrals: Provide students with resources and referrals to external organisations or certified professionals to help them address personal issues that affect their academic success including mental health or financial concerns. 
    • Collaborate with faculty and student support staff: Mentoring and guiding lecturers and support staff/work with lecturers, student support officials, parents and other relevant stakeholders to create a supportive learning environment, Work closely with faculty and student support staff to identify and address student needs. 
    • Collectively, create an environment that provides support for students struggling academically or personally. Maintain detailed records and documentation: Maintain accurate and confidential records of interactions with students for future reference. Keep up to date with educational trends and research: Implementing behaviour management policies and procedures, Attempt to stay current regarding trends and research in education and counselling to ensure effective and relevant services to students.

    Lecturer Relief for English First Additional Language(PL1) Soshanguve South Campus Ref: TNC/SSC/25 – 01/5

    Technical Support Human Resources Management Central Office Ref: TNC/CO/25 – 01/4

    Requirements: 

    • Matric/NQF Level 4 Certificate plus a National Diploma (NQF level 6/bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management/ Public Administration.
    • 5 - 7 years working experience in Human Resource Management, of which 3 years must be at supervisory level.

    Duties:

    • Management of leave (scanning, capturing and reports to the Region and Department).
    • Assessment/ analysis of College paid staff contracts in line with the approved budget allocation.
    • Render Supervisory and management services to HR Staff, including the submission of performance agreements, reviews, leave and proper allocation of work.

    Requirements: 

    • Senior Certificate plus a relevant three-year teaching qualification (REQV 13) with 3 years’ lecturing experience in the following subjects: Mechanical Engineering subjects.

    • Manage enrolment in line with targets within the section. Ensure effective curriculum delivery on different modes including blended learning.     • Monitor and report on student and lecturer performance. Develop and implement an improvement plan to enhance student performance. Supervise lecturers, conduct meetings, monitor lecturer performance, compile results analysis. Ensure that ICASS requirements and external examinations rules and regulations are complied with.
    • Responsible for leave management of his/her section. Assist the HOD with administrative duties. Responsible for work allocation, time tabling and optimal utilisation of staff within the section. Guide and supervise the work and performance of lecturers. Coordinate the work of subject committees and provide them with support. Compile quality reports and ensure that reports are submitted on time. Provide resources that support teaching and learning to staff members. Ensure that there is discipline amongst students and staff members.
