    Media Strategist -Digital (12945)

    Key Focus areas

    • Build data-driven market and brand insights
    • Execute Digital media planning, optimisation & audience analysis

    KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:       

    • Develop and present media strategies that are in line with media industry developed communication strategies
    • Source relevant and insightful information about the Media landscape.
    • Analyze and interpret media and industry development information to maximize sales opportunities for the organization.
    • Monitor advertising media and client activity to deliver key learnings, which ensure competitive media strategies
    • Assist sales management to develop client-specific strategies including new business acquisition, dropped off business, pricing strategy, and rate cards.
    • Extract and analyze information to understand consumer requirements and needs (Both in terms of product/service and brand).
    • Develop and present media strategies reflective of the client’s communication strategies.
    • Provide tracking of audience viewership information and insights (proactive/reactive)
    • Exploring innovative market intelligent – use of bespoke/desktop research tools where necessary
    • Define and interpret audience and market value to marketers’ communication objectives
    • Develop multimedia planning schedules
    • Analyse and provide post campaign information across platforms/clients
    • Contribute to brand and market client workshops with provision of insights.
    • Assist sales management with client commitment reviews and annual commitment negotiation strategy/planning.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • National Diploma / Bachelors Degree (NQF 6/7)  in Media/Sales & Marketing/Communications/Advertising related fields
    • Minimum 3 years Media sales / Media strategy / Media planning / Strategic planning / Media research experience
    • High level of computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
    • Innovative and also able to use and present analytical data in a creative manner Valid driver’s license
    • Knowledge of advertising industry and corporate market
    • Strategic Orientated

    Audio Visual Imaging Producer( Ukhozi FM)

    Key Accountabilities

    • Conceptualize, script,  and produce cutting edge, top notch, break through generic, seasonal and thematic Station Imaging (jingles, promos, liners).
    • Prepare/compile briefs for station’s brand and imaging campaigns.
    • Identify and utilize relevant voice overs in order to produce station imaging.
    • Receive bookings and prepare for recordings, ensuring all equipment, facilities and resources are available for production, according to production specifications
    • Assist in the planning, preparation, logistical arrangements and production of station promos
    • Effective recording of productions, ensuring the optimal mix of all the sound for broadcast, recording and sound reinforcement, in order to optimally deliver on the production needs and requirements.
    • Continually monitor the technical quality of recording, ensuring optimal quality of broadcast and adherence to broadcasting standards
    • Timeous and accurate administration of production procedures, ensuring adherence to operational standards.
    • Effective monitoring of technical quality and reporting of faults, in order to resolve any technical problems.
    • Ensure effective informal and on-the-job training, to ensure a competent staff compliment.
    • Advise and assist on appropriate aspects, limitations, alternatives and utilisation of equipment to minimise mistakes and optimise and enhance product.
    • Provide advice on aspects of quality control, in order to ensure the quality of broadcasts
    • Assess and evaluate new equipment and provide feedback on suitability.

    • Maintain close working relationships with producers and production teams to ensure optimal delivery of generic and programme specific imaging.
    • Facilitate and manage meetings with my production teams to go through creative briefs and generate creative concepts, angles and ideas for various show promos and Imaging.
    • Engage with internal content contributors (News & CAFF, Sport and Commercial Enterprises) and go through various plans for the monthly content plans for imaging and promo alignment.
    • Provide recordings as per brief from Sales for client campaigns.
    • Provide post audio recordings or montages for client campaigns.
    • Communicate and schedule recordings with station voices.

    Requirements:

    • National Diploma or Degree in Sound Engineering or related discipline. (NQF level 6)
    • 4 years’ experience in broadcasting environment of which 2 years should be on radio technical production. 
    • Proficiency in recording and editing software (i.e. pro tools, audacity, adobe etc).
    • Above average experience and knowledge of broadcasting production technology and digital media application
    • Above average proficiency of the English language (spoken and written) is essential
    • Ability and willingness to work under pressure and on short notice
    • Good research skills and ability to apply research information
    • Knowledge of popular music and current affairs will be an advantage
    • Candidate must have good command of IsiZulu both written and spoken

    Internship Bulletin Writer / Reader and Current Affairs Producer/Presenter x 2 (12826)

    Senior Reporter - Parliament (12946)

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Conceptualise and produce parliament news and current affairs content across platforms in accordance with SABC News editorial objectives and public mandate.
    • Keep abreast of parliament news/events/developments and their relevance to South Africa.
    • Present weekly diary of proposed stories to the editor.

    Requirements:

    Marketing Manager Ukhozi FM (12913)

    Key Accountabilities:

    • Develop and implement strategic marketing and brand-building plans in order to retain and increase current market share.
    • Improve programme marketability and profitability by researching trends, identifying and capitalising on market opportunities.

    Requirements:

    • 5 years’ experience in marketing, preferably in the broadcasting industry, and 2 years at a supervisory level.
    • Understanding of legislation, policies, SOPs, and procedures relating to the Radio Broadcasting industry
    • Understanding of Advertising industry legislation, rules, norms, and standards.
    • Knowledge and a wide network in various industries.
    • Ability to analyse research and identify industry trends.
