    Key Account Manager (Utilities)

    Specific Accountabilities

    • Maintaining the highest safety standards to ensure there are no incidents or accidents in the working environment
    • Targeting new business opportunities within the Utilities sectors, specifically in Southern Africa
    • Account retention by developing and maintaining ongoing relationships with Key Decision Makers and managing the required communication protocols at customer sites with the key people.
    • Pursuing growth and developing new applications and opportunities on new and existing customers sites
    • Managing existing accounts as allocated ensuring satisfaction and ongoing profitability by professional and effective account management processes and skills designed to deliver and exceed customer expectations and adding value
    • Managing prospects effectively and making contacts within the allocated targets and markets.  Working with support groups to establish, maintain and prioritize an accurate and current prospect list.
    • Providing professional on site service work to customers including water analysis and testing as required, ensuring water treatment programs are controlled according to design parameters and that performance criteria is strictly monitored and achieved
    • Working with other team members and resource groups as necessary to ensure that customer deliverables are met and maintained

    Person Specification

    • Should have technical/scientific/industry related tertiary qualifications
    • Must be confident in working for long periods unsupervised
    • Must be able to meet deadlines
    • Must be an effective and confident communicator
    • Must be able to sell and close business opportunities
    • Must have 5-10 years Utilities Water Treatment experience
    • Plus to have 5 years related industry experience (Ideally in water disinfection)
    • Regional language proficiencies
    • Must be fully computer literate, i.e. MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc
    • Should have experience and understanding of industrial processes
    • Should have experience and understanding of industrial engineering processes relating to cooling and steam processes

    Sales Representative Associate

    Achieve monthly call route and Merchandising Targets.

    • Maintaining a regular customer call route as per pre-determined route list
    • Focus will be on but not limited to high merchandising time stores.
    • Implementation and maintenance of all planograms.
    • Feedback on any in-store issues i.e. manager/customer complaints
    • Photo per call after merchandising and planogram corrections to be loaded on SFDC.
    • Building and maintaining relationships with customers at store level
    • Negotiations of additional display space and hands on activity with erecting safe displays.
    • Minimize credit notes

    Stock Management

    • Maintain product for in store displays within designated accounts, including activities such as transporting products between stockroom and sales floor with equipment (i.e. pallet jack, cart); replenishing, facing out, and rotating products; resolving inventory discrepancies; building, changing, and expanding product displays; maintaining product signage; cleaning product space; and evaluating/processing damaged or defective product per established policies

    Trade Responsible Care (TRC)

    • Comply to all safety rules and safe-job practices
    • Report all accidents/incidents/injuries immediately to his/her supervisor, no matter how small
    • Keep his / her work area clean and neat (Maintain good housekeeping standards)
    • Trade Responsible Care training to be done at every store and completion of training within set dates. Weekly training documents to be submitted to management.
    • Ensure daily compliance with TRC principles, communicating deviations to Management as/when they occur.

    Management of Merchandising Staff

    • Ensure accurate in-store administration
    • Manage performance of Merchandisers including time-sheets
    • Ensure adherence to dress code

    Employee Contractor

    • To manage time and complete all activities as highlighted in the operator’s checklist. To ensure clear and proper communication with Technicians, other site contractors, and the customer.
    • To be visible and act with speed on appointed Packaging Line and maintain frequent communication between Technicians and Team Leader. To manage the cleanliness of the dedicated Packaging Line and follow customers’ standards will report incidents, housekeeping, Safety regulations, PPE compliance, correct application, implementation, and monitoring of all Diversey products on site.
    • To ensure full compliance of the SLA agreement with the customer ensuring that all activities are carried out safely to the highest quality standards.
    • To be available to support the customer’s production during night shifts, weekends, public holidays, and peak times. Working hours are site-specific and are determined by Diversey’s site requirements
    • Receiving chemical deliveries from Diversey.
    • Drive a forklift (only if you have been trained).
    • Offloading of chemicals from truck.
    • Submit relevant paperwork after deliveries to Technicians.
    • Transfer chemicals from bulk storage to day tanks, if necessary. Use barricades and signage.
    • Chemical containment & storage areas to be kept clean and free of spillages and dirt.
    • Observe dosing lines and pumps for leaks/damages/faults and report immediately to Technician
    • Daily stock-taking report for all chemicals: if on night shift 6 am and 6 pm. If on dayshift 1 pm.
    • Fill in EBI reports.
    • Fill in the Stock allocation report correctly.
    • Fill in schedules from the line daily and submit them to Planners.
    • Walk the lines and inspect for issues, downtime, spraying patterns of nozzles, and leaks.
    • Remove and clean blocked nozzles.
    • Check salt tank if there is salt present. Top up if required.
    • Check water hardness and record results.
    • Be on the Line when the Line starts up during maintenance.
    • Check chain lube concentration by Titration.
    • Perform COF/drag Test.
    • Perform 50 crate counts.
    • Perform Methylene Blue Testing in conjunction with ABINBEV for verification.

    Material Handler - Packaging Supplier/Filler/Forklift Driver-1

    Packaging :

    • Ensures minimum packout consumable quantities at all times in all areas (i.e. machine tapes, hand tapes, plastic wrap, stickers should not conjest packaging areas. Old material should be removed immediately)
    • Ensures product is in good quality manner prior to handing over to the warehouse
    • Ensures that plastic is changed when necessary
    • Checks and ensures that batch number, month and pallet stickers are affixed on all boxes and drums, and pallet is neatly wrap. Only when all packing complies can the product be dispatched for warehouse.
    • Log production packed and moved, in numerical order on the packout logsheet. All product will be correctly recorded, including off spec products.
    • Takes a reasonable packout GP sample every hourly to the lab for analysis
    • Moves full pallets to allocated area according to shifts allocation. Ensures that pallets in shift allocation areas are stacked according the correct height and good housekeeping practices
    • Ensures that pallets are stacked at all times for the robot and empties pallet bays
    • Completes the forklift inspection logsheet and report deviations if any at the beginning of each shift.
    • When required and where applicable, repetitively lifts weights physically (changing, weighing, decanting and packaging)
    • Assist robot operator manually lift boxes or drums when robot is not working
    • Performs any duties at drums pack out section as assigned by the robot operator
    • Takes off-spec product to the rework storage area, ensuring that it is correctly marked, and stored in accordance with good housekeeping practices
    • Do packout walking tours and report and address deviations at the beginning of each shift.
    • Spot checks weights at regular intervals on manual scale, completes weight monitoring logsheet and call maintenance to address deviations if any identified
    • Check bottle-feeder and bottle unscrambler to ensure smooth operation of bottle feeding to carousel machine rejects any deviations in product quality and reports to robot operator
    • Rejects any deviations in weights and packaging materials quality defects
    • Checks if video jets are working, printing the correct batch numbers and reports any deviations to instrumentation
    • Manual capping of bottles / filled containers
    • Cleaning of spilled product on carousel table and reporting the origin of such spillages immediately to supervisor
    • Performs any process related tasks to minimize process delays
    • Performs any duties at 8/10 kg bucket and 15/25/50 kg filling stations
    • Does trouble shooting around all filling stations and reports to robot operator
    • Ensures that production plan is adhered to
    • During shutdowns, work as per instruction from plant foreman, production manager or designate

    Operating machinery :

    • Operates the shrink wrapping machine to plastic wrap pallets coming off the robot operating procedure (SOPs)
    • Operates the shrink wrapping machine to plastic wrap pallets coming  off the robot
    • Operates Filling Machines
    • Re-gas forklift when necessary

    Responsible Care

    • Ensuring that the EHS and Quality standards are strictly maintained
    • Actively participate in constantly improving Plant and individual safety and housekeeping by engaging in cleaning up work area and spillages, get and put away tools, supplies and equipment.  This also entails the use of protective equipment as required and proper cleanup when done
    • Comply to all safety rules and safe-job practices
    • Report all accidents/incidents/injuries immediately to his/her supervisor, no matter how small
    • Attend and participate in safety EH&S meetings
    • Report all unsafe conditions to his/her supervisor
    • Keep his / her work area clean and neat (Maintain good housekeeping standards)

    • Rejects any deviations in weights and packaging materials quality defects
    • Checks if video jets are working, printing the correct batch numbers and reports any deviations to instrumentation
    • Responsible for manually capping of bottles / filled containers
    • Responsible for cleaning of spilled product on carousel table and reporting the origin of such spillages immediately to supervisor
    • When required and where applicable, repetitively lifts weights physically (charging, weighing, decanting and packaging)

    • Accountable for all housekeeping matters in working area, 5S

    Operating machinery:

    • To ensure the smooth running of the carousel machine and all filling stations according to standard operating procedures (SOPs)
    • Prepares process equipment for maintenance and assists maintenance personnel

    Responsible Care
