    Project / Production Coordinator - JHB

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Pre-Production and Production

    • Working as the Production and Content Manager’s assistant.
    • Under the direction of the Manager, develop production schedules and set up all the support elements for filming and/or audio recording.
    • Preparing, updating and distributing crew lists and progress reports.
    • Distribution of script revisions and/or changes to all relevant stakeholders timeously.
    • Preparing and distribution of call sheets for production crew, organizing rental equipment, supplies, sourcing location agreement paperwork, coordinate transport and accommodation requirements if and when required.
    • Ensuring the correct cameras, lenses, audio, lighting, batteries, SD cards, SSD and other production items as needed have been ordered for each production set.
    • On set; be a production runner as needed.
    • Coordinate catering to feed the cast, crew and creative team.
    • Ensure the wrap-up is done correctly and a return of all accounted inventory is complete.
    • Coordinate each stakeholder’s role during post-production.
    • Ensure that all release forms, location permits, bills, schedules, insurance forms and any other legal documents have been completed and uploaded on the relevant systems.
    • Track spending and writing expense reports.
    • Coordinate payments to all vendors.
    • Handling confidential information and being discreet. 

    Project work

    • Record new projects in Workfront and other systems including project scope, budget & schedule.
    • Tracking and Monitoring the flow of projects, monitor the assignments and ensure projects are on track with agreed timelines.
    • Coordinate the different touch-points on all projects and provide reports to the Production and Content Manager. 
    •  Ability to work in a cross-functional team including media developers, designers, translators, other departments and production crews.
    • Administrative work

    Data capturing of all projects including the following:-

    • Accurately capture each and every project’s detail from inception to completion.
    • Upload all the paperwork (release forms, insurance, location, invoices) for each and every project on the relevant systems.
    • Capture all the invoices and load them on IAN for payment.
    • Attend project related meetings with Production and Content Manager and capture minutes for each and every project.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must hold a current / valid Temple recommend and /or be worthy to possess one.
    • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Graphic Design, Multimedia, Business Administration or a related field with at least 4-6 years of professional experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
    • Excellent organizational skills, with ability to focus on detail.
    • Experience with audiovisual media formats and production preferred.
    • Knowledge and experience of working in production, media or design industries preferred.
    • Excellent Communication skills.
    • Being able to work in a team and collaborative environment.
    • Be a team player and also be receptive and humble when receiving counsel.
    • The ability to be patient whilst working in a fast-paced environment with very tight deadlines and ability to show calm under pressure.
    • The ability to be flexible and able to multi-task: - plans, needs and priorities can change rapidly when working in production. 
    • Be able to quickly adjust plans to address new information and requests.
    • The ability to do extensive data capturing including spending large amounts of time behind a computer.

    Production Professional - JHB

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Working with a creative team to plan and organize video and film shoots.
    • The ability to translate verbal and written content briefs, conceptualize imaginative assets into creatively appealing solutions.
    • Thorough understanding and application of camera settings including white balance, camera exposure, ISO, focus, lens choices etc.
    • Filming and recording high quality footage by operating video cameras for a variety of sets and/or at remote locations.
    • Working on motion graphics, captions, special effects and animation.
    • Provide professional quality photos (photography and editing)
    • Post-Production and editing on a variety of digital formats.
    • Working as part of a team with an extended production crew on larger productions.
    • Ensuring filming is done in proper lighting, camera(s) with perfect lens choice and audio clarity.
    • Detailed event support with Broadcasts and Audiovisual setups. 
    • Thorough understanding of AV elements a must.
    • Developing and presenting storyboards.
    • Transporting, set up, operate and take down production equipment (cameras, microphones, lighting, props and other equipment).
    • The ability to configure, maintain and troubleshoot video, audio, lighting and other production equipment.
    • Be responsible for completing inventory and maintenance reports.
    • Stay up-to-date on latest development in video technology and production.
    • Following the Church’s style guide and maintaining its visual identity in all production.
    • Assist with administrative and office duties.
    • As and when needed, assist with graphic design edits, social media edits and other Departmental needs.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must hold a current / valid Temple recommend and /or be worthy to possess one.
    • Minimum 3 year Diploma / Degree in Film, Broadcasting, Media Studies, Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design and / or related fields of study.
    • Minimum 6-8 years of Professional experience accompanied by a portfolio.
    • Video Design, Sound and audio design/engineering, Lighting Design.
    • Expert Proficiency and experience with design tools and technologies mainly the Adobe creative suite: (not limited to) Premiere Pro, Da Vinci Resolve, Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, Aftereffects.
    • Skilled in Photography, Film, videography and editing 
    • Ability to develop and present storyboards.
    • Being able to work in a team and collaborative environment.
    • Be a team player and also be receptive and humble when receiving counsel.
    • The ability to be patient whilst working in a fast paced environment with very tight deadlines and ability to show calm under pressure.
    • Project Management skills and must be a self-starter

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Completing well-researched writing projects and keyword driven pieces to boost organic traffic.
    • Creating high quality, clear and innovative headlines, tags and body copy.
    • Write engaging content for articles, the area website, presentations, case studies, infographics and other assets.

    MTC Teacher Trainer - Roodepoort

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    Reports to manager level in Training Department

    Trains and provides ongoing evaluation and development of teachers and missionaries (75%)

    • Provides individual coaching and continuing in-service training of teachers through leading weekly meetings
    • Provides teachers with materials and policy information.
    • Observes and evaluate missionaries and teachers.
    • Facilitates opportunities for teacher improvement according to needs.
    • Assists the Manager of Training in training new teachers prior to classroom experience.
    • Ensures teachers understand and effectively teach approved MTC curriculum.
    • Leads in establishing updates or new MTC curriculum
    • Fills in as a classroom teacher when needed

    Leads in advocating for missionary well-being (10%)

    • Evaluates missionary experience and performance.
    • Ensures the well-being of each missionary.
    • Leads teachers in providing for the individual needs of missionaries. 
    • Leads teachers in creating an ideal learning environment.

    Administrative Functions (5%)

    • Handles day-to-day supervisory matters, conferring with Manager of Training regarding disciplinary issues.
    • Provides timely recommendations for teacher merit increases.
    • Coordinates with other Lead Teachers regarding common employees.

    Assists the Manager of Training (10%)

    • Reports missionary progress to the Manager of Training.
    • Reports teacher performance to the Manager of Training.
    • Assists in interviewing, evaluating candidates’ teaching and language capacities, and making hiring decisions.
    • Assists in area training meetings.
    • Assists in coordinating training resources.
    • Recommendations for teacher dismissal
    • May be asked to assist in assessing the proficiency level of missionaries and teacher applicants in the target language.
    • May take on MTC Teacher responsibilities to teach missionaries as needs arise
    • May include other temporary assigned duties at the MTC (e.g. assisting with Mission Leadership Seminar)

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Must hold a current / valid temple recommend and/or be worthy to hold one.
    • Must be a returned missionary
    • 6 months experience as an MTC teacher 
    • Preferred:1 year of experience with teaching, training, or tutoring in any capacity
    • Must be fluent in a non-native language (except for English or ESL area assignment).
    • Demonstrates knowledge of MTC language learning strategies and methodologies
    • Must have a solid understanding of MTC training principles, demonstrate problem-solving and organizational abilities, and have exceptional training competence.
    • Must communicate effectively
    • Demonstrates the ability to handle pressure well.
    • Must have technology skills to adequately function in the MTC environment.
    • Must have exceptional interpersonal and leadership skills.
    • Must have a solid understanding of Preach My Gospel
    • Demonstrates encouraging attitude, proactivity and self-motivation
    • To successfully perform the essential functions of the job, there may be physical requirements which need to be met such as sitting for long periods of time and using monitors/equipment.
    • Must be able to work shifts
