    Field Service Supervisor - Mechanical (Port Elizabeth)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Ability to remotely supervise multiple personnel and work scopes efficiently and effectively.
    • Occasional travel globally as and when required. 
    • Provide technical analysis to ascertain timelines and resource requirements for customer quotation purposes.
    • Manage projects and personnel planning using pre-existing and new processes, systems and applications.
    • Ability to assign projects and tasks to technical personnel based on skill level and competency level.
    • Monitoring and control of project costs.
    • Ability to communicate effectively with clients on project status both technically and commercially.
    • Review and approval of technical and financial reporting. 
    • Provide recommendations on improving products and systems efficiency to clients based on technical analysis conducted in field. 
    • Advise customers on the maintenance and upkeep of their NOV equipment as per the various manuals, Product Information Bulletins (PIB) drawing revision changes, software updates etc. 
    • Collaborate with key stakeholders including Customers, Colleagues and other NOV entities.
    • Continual review and assessment of direct reports to ensure development goals are achieved.
    • Participate in the 24/7 on-call team on a rotational basis.
    • Perform any other duties as reasonably required by management.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor’s degree in related Technical, Commercial field or equivalent experience. 

    EXPERIENCE: 

    • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a technical capacity within an Offshore, automated, or industrial environment with an additional minimum of 3 years’ experience in a leadership role with customer relationship management and employee development experience. Total minimum experience 8 years.
    • Good technical knowledge relating to mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, maintenance, and repair activities of heavy machinery in an offshore or automation environment.
    • Good knowledge of NOV Rig Equipment preferred.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings/schematics.
    • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office - Excel, Word, and Outlook).

    Technical Documentation Assistant (Port Elizabeth)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Track parts required for repair WO’s, ensuring that due dates are known to enhance project scheduling accuracy.
    • Create purchase requisition
    • Assist with compiling Project Parts Lists
    • Print drawings, procedures and compile work pack as needed.
    • Update and revise routers in the ERP System based on WO requirements.
    • Enter and update BOM (Bill of Materials) in ERP system.
    • Support communication with vendors, suppliers and Certifying Authority (CA) as required.
    • Monitor status of production and OSV work scopes. Identify any issues that may impact our ability to deliver on time and/or on budget.
    • Coordinate work scopes / Quality Plans with all applicable parties. 
    • Work according to the NOV’s Global Repair BPA process
    • Have a good understanding of the NOV’s BPA processes related to other NOV busines lines (Quality Assurance, Order Management, Projects, Spares, Warranty, etc.)
    • Assist with create Engineering Concessions and coordinate with Engineering as required
    • Assist with compiling COC’s/SOF’s
    • Assist with creating Databook Compilation within a DMS
    • General administrative tasks

    QUALIFICATIONS: Senior certificate. National Diploma in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering

    EXPERIENCE: Experience in Manufacturing/Repair environment preferred. 

    SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES: 

    • Microsoft Office Suite – Intermediate to advance level preferred in excel specifically
    • NOV RigDoc - Basic to advanced knowledge level preferred
    • Proficiency preferred in NOV systems including Tracker, RigOffice, Team Centre, ERP (Glovia)

    Ledger Controller (Cape Town)

    In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for overseeing the full range of finance functions within the Ledger, including accounting, tax, and treasury, working closely with the Country Controller, Accounting Shared Service Center, Operations, and Corporate Managers for Africa. Your expertise will ensure NOV's South African entities are properly managed financially and fully compliant with NOV's accounting standards and local requirements.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Optimize and oversee all accounting processes, including AR, AP, cash, costing & inventory, and general accounting, to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting that meets NOV's high standards
    • Actively participate in treasury management, identifying financial needs, analyzing FX exposures, and handling daily cash and debt management
    • Collaborate with the Country Controller and Tax Manager to ensure tax processes are optimized and tax reporting is accurate and compliant

    To be successful in this role, you will need:

    • Bachelor's degree or higher in accounting/finance, or Chartered Accountant qualification (with at least 3 years' articles completed)
    • Minimum 3 years' experience in IFRS accounting and tax returns review, ideally gained through a combination of audit and multinational finance roles
    • Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational skills
    • Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel
    • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with employees at all levels

    Electrical Design Engineer (Port Elizabeth)

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Research, develop, and design Electrical and electronic interface circuitry for control of products. 
    • Coordinate Power System calculations (short circuit study, load flow study, circuit breaker coordination study, arc flash study, and harmonic study)
    • Provide technical support in the installation and commissioning of advanced low-voltage ABB and Siemens AC drives.
    • Familiar with NEC, IEEE & IEC standards along with awareness of ABS & DNV rules content for offshore drilling installations.
    • Familiar with hazardous area ratings for electrical equipment: ATEX, IECEx, UL, FM, and CSA for land and offshore drilling installations.
    • Work with customers (internal/external) and review project defining documents to understand project requirements.
    • Create and/or design electrical drawings and documentation. (Typical; block diagram, termination diagram, electrical schematics, interconnect, electrical one line diagrams, cable indexes, fabrication and assembly general arrangement drawings of power or control panels with associated BOM’s, cable and instrument layouts, and hazardous area layouts.)
    • Ensure electrical scope and content is defined during initial design processes.
    • Provide electrical leadership in preparation, and ensure that deliverables projects are controlled with regard to scope, schedule, budget, performing appraisal, etc.
    • Establish design criteria for deliverables using required codes and standards.
    • Review contractual content to ensure technical and regulatory compliance.
    • Ensure subsequent design changes are documented and transmitted as required to internal and external resources.
    • Participate in design review.
    • Provide manufacturing with technical assistance.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or Mechatronic.

    EXPERIENCE 

    • Preferred 5+ years of experience designing control systems.
    • Relevant experience within Instrumentation, Electrical, Mining Machines or Automotive may compensate where there is no formal qualification
    • Practical experience with FATs or Commissioning Equipment
    • Experience with design and engineering of Ex (hazardous area) equipment is desirable.
    • Experience from using AutoCAD design tool will be an advantage

    SKILLS, TRAINING & SPECIALIST KNOWLEDGE

    • Knowledge of offshore design standards is beneficial but not essential
    • Knowledge and experience in Teams Centre Siemens (Desirable)
    • Having a professional letter/certification in electrical, automation, etc. is an advantage
    • Knowledge and experience with Explosion Proof equipment preferred (Desirable)
    • Generally good IT knowledge and experience from using relevant software

    Configuration Analyst (Port Elizabeth)

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Performs installation, configuration, and upgrades of the Connected Product solutions.
    • Monitors solution performance/availability; suggest alternative approaches when applicable.

    Temp Treasury Analyst (Cape Town)

    You will support all aspects of Treasury Operations activities, including assist with the development of Cash Management Banking Solutions for the Africa Region and supporting the Cash Forecasting process. You will provide financial planning and analysis in the conduct of daily treasury activities, oversee Corporate Cash Management, including the administration of the Corporate Credit Card and Company Guarantee Programmes.       

    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITES:

    • Provide administrative support  to the Africa Ledger Controllers to manage the Banking Documents under the supervision of  Africa Treasury Manager viz.
    • Preparation of all Banking Documents (opening or closing bank account, update Bank Signatories, and any other bank related documents) 
    • Update and maintain log of Bank Signatories and Online Bank Users 
    • Ensure that the Bank Signatories and Online Bank Users are executed with the Bank in accordance with the Banking Power of Attortney (POA)
    • Perform daily cash management functions, determination of cash position, funds transfers, analysis of borrowing needs and available funds
    • Consolidate the monthly Africa Region Cash Forecast, including variance analysis. To work closely with Africa Ledger Controllers and provide analysis and quick feedback of results 
    • To issue Gaurantees/Bonds and Letters of Credit (LC’s) including monthly tracking and reconciliation thereof  
    • Analyse Africa Region Bank Services and related Fees and make Treasury optimization recommendations 
    • Administer and Support the management of the Corporate Credit Card Programme including conducting quarterly reviews 
    • Administer, Co-ordinate and Support the amendments to the Electronic Banking (EB) Users across the various banking platforms, we use in the Africa Region

    QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE & SPECIAL SKILLS:

    • Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or Finance, Accounting or related field  
    • 3+ years relevant experience in banking and/or treasury operations, previous experience in a Corporate Treasury environment would be advantageous. 
    • Fluent in English 
    • Experience with Bank Documentations  
    • Computer literacy (including good command of Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, Outlook and PowerPoint) 
    • Highly detail orientated and organized in work
