    Debtors Controller

    Role Overview:

    • As the Debtors Controller, you will be responsible for updating and preparing the direct deposit schedules for both Rand and Dollar transactions. This includes capturing national entries and reconciling accounts across the company. You will manage the national age analysis by compiling and receipting all allocations and handling reallocations as necessary. Additional responsibilities include generating and sending statements to credit clients, following up with clients on credit terms for payments, and addressing any account-related queries. You will oversee suspense journals, prepare monthly age analysis reports with detailed commentary, and generate both credit client reports and accounts receivable reports on a weekly and monthly basis. You will also assist with 1-cent write-offs, process refunds, and liaise with internal teams to resolve outstanding items.

    Deputy Factory Manager

    About the role:

    • The Deputy Factory Manager is responsible for overseeing production processes to ensure the delivery of high-quality products in a cost-effective, safe, and reliable manner. This role involves managing factory assets efficiently to support continuous and reliable production. Additionally, the Deputy Factory Manager leads and manages the process and maintenance functions, ensuring strategic execution, optimal resource utilization, and process excellence within the factory

    Required core competencies:

    • NQF Level 6/7 Degree in an Engineering discipline - Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical or Metallurgy

    Asset Management and Preservation Strategy

    • Assist in developing the asset preservation strategy, reviewing the asset register, and determining the remaining useful life of assets.
    • Evaluate previous budgets and expenses to formulate future maintenance budgets.
    • Monitor plant and line performance to identify improvement areas and set new performance targets.

    Maintenance Effectiveness

    • Oversee preventive and reactive maintenance to optimize asset performance at minimal cost and risk.
    • Manage maintenance standards, allocate budgets, and ensure compliance with maintenance schedules and performance KPIs.

    Continuous Improvement

    • Drive continuous improvement in processes and maintenance, including defect elimination and small project management.
    • Analyze customer complaints to ensure the quality control system prevents defects from reaching customers.

    People Leadership and Development

    • Lead, manage, and develop the maintenance and process teams.
    • Ensure workflow optimization, assign responsibilities, and prepare schedules.
    • Train new employees on machinery, standard operating procedures, and safety practices.

    Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) Compliance

    • Ensure adherence to SHE regulations and perform regular safety inspections.
    • Manage internal and external audits related to ISO 9001, OHS, and risk management.

    Production and Process Management

    • Set and communicate daily, weekly, and monthly production objectives.
    • Monitor production output to ensure compliance with specifications and manage quality control processes.

    Assistant Maintenance Manager

    Required core competencies 

    • NQF Level 5 certification in electrical or mechanical engineering, or a relevant trade test certification.
    • Minimum of 5 years' experience in general maintenance, building facilities management, or construction project management, with at least 3 years in a management role within a 4 or 5-star hotel maintenance department.
    • Strong experience in implementing and maintaining Stock Management Control Systems.
    • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel).
    • Solid financial acumen.
    • In-depth understanding of Health and Safety standards and Environmental Impact Controls; relevant qualifications or experience in these areas are advantageous.
    • Technical knowledge of hotel maintenance, including building maintenance, air conditioning systems, refrigeration, plumbing, water supply, and electrical systems.
    • Knowledge of hot water reticulation systems and pumped sewer systems.
    • Highly presentable and professional.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with a strong command of the English language.
    • Ability to work under pressure, with flexibility for weekend and public holiday shifts.
