    Specialist Systems - Johannesburg

    Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Act as first line of contact and troubleshooting for any Payroll ERP or non-ERP issues.
    • Provide process/technical support to the GBS sub-functions – change coordinator and escalation point for ERP, VERSA (Case Management Tool) and other non-ERP applications.
    • Logging incidents on behalf of GBS functional teams.
    • Manage and coordinate Support Pack updates (Payroll).
    • Work closely with Functional Business Process Leads (BPL) and GBS Leads to manage ERP and non-ERP process and system changes.
    • Ongoing monitoring of Case Management Tool (Versa) setup, access management and template maintenance.
    • Lead system changes and coordinate user acceptance testing for GBS.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 4 years’ experience in a Payroll and / or Shared Services / Global Business Services Environment;
    • Experience in leading high volume transactional and professional shared services activities, preferably SAP based;
    • Working knowledge of process improvement processes and methodology;
    • Experience within relevant functions of a large Global organization;
    • Specialist knowledge in Global Business Services and / or Payroll Business processes.

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree/BTECH/National Diploma in Payroll, Human Resources Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.

    Specialist Employee Relations - Richards Bay

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    This role is a permanent full-time position.

    As a Specialist Employee Relations, you will provide effective, high quality Employee Relations services within the Asset in compliance with Human Resources processes. You will also be required to facilitate the interpretation and implementation of Company employment arrangements, policies, procedures and applicable employment Legislation.

     Other key responsibilities include, but aren’t limited to:

    • Ensure proper application of the disciplinary and grievance procedure in regard to fairness and consistency.
    • Initiate and attend disciplinary and appeal hearings in accordance with the disciplinary procedure.
    • Ensure employee awareness of ER procedures and practices, and updates when required.
    • Provide advice on interpretation and implementation of labour legislation.
    • Provide advice by way of the drafting of opinions on matters that are not sufficiently complex to warrant a referral to the Company’s attorneys.
    • Conduct and/or assist with internal investigations into complaints, concerns or alleged misconduct, and present the Company with findings and recommendations.
    • Attend and present the Company’s case at all conciliations / non-complex arbitrations where disputes are referred to the Metal Engineering and Industries Bargaining Council.
    • Present relevant training on industrial relations in general and including changes in policies, procedures and systems.
    • Provide in-house labour relations / legal support.
    • Participate in negotiations dealing with industrial relations matters, including Enterprise Bargaining negotiations and industrial advocacy services where required.

    ABOUT YOU:

    You will have experience and demonstrate capability in the following:

    • Must have a minimum of 4 years' experience in employee relations in an industrial environment
    • Proficient understanding of legal and regulatory requirements is essential
    • Sound understanding of labour relations is essential
    • Proficient negotiation, written and verbal communication skills will be advantageous

    Qualifications for this role are:

    • Degree / BTECH/ Diploma in Behavioural Science or LLB
