Job Purpose
- The Head of Governance and Risk (GR) will lead the development and implementation of SARS’ GR strategy. This role is critical in ensuring that the enterprise operates within legal and regulatory frameworks, manages risks effectively, and maintains exemplary standards of governance.

Job Purpose
- To represent SARS during ADR process, to do presentations to the internal governance committees as well the drafting of legal agreements. In addition, to provide expertise, advice, and support to develop operational implementation plans and / or associated service delivery processes, by providing a full suite of services of the unit, prepare solutions to new precedents for consideration, and contribute to the resolution of complex issues facing the unit, to continuously enhance service delivery.
Education and Experience
Minimum Qualification & Experience Required
- B. Law (LLB), an Admitted Attorney and 8-10 years' experience in a dispute resolution environment, of which 3-4 years ideally at operational specialist level.
Minimum Functional Requirements
- Senior Certificate (NQF 4), 15 Years disputed resolution environment and 15 years related experience.
