    Regional Yoga and Pilates Lead

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    Group Exercise Management

    • Oversee the execution of Pilates & Yoga classes within assigned clubs, ensuring schedules are optimized to meet member needs and wellness goals.
    • Implement quality control processes, conducting instructor assessments to ensure consistency and excellence in class delivery.
    • Collaborate with the RGEM to optimize group exercise timetables, ensuring efficient use of resources and budgets and a diverse offering of classes.

     Instructor Recruitment & Development

    • Recruit, onboard, and train group exercise instructors, aligning them with Virgin Active’s culture and quality standards.
    • Provide ongoing coaching and feedback, supporting instructors’ growth through workshops, skills sessions, and qualification courses.
    • Monitor performance, managing underperforming instructors through development plans or terminations as needed, in coordination with the RGEM.

    Member Engagement & Experience

    • Facilitate member induction processes that promote group exercise participation and create an engaging pathway for new members.
    • Organize and lead events and activations to boost class participation, fostering a vibrant fitness community.
    • Partner with the EEM to integrate group exercise P&Y into the broader member wellness journey,

    Operational Excellence

    • Work alongside the Clubs to maintain high standards for group exercise facilities, ensuring spaces are well-equipped and safe for members and instructors.
    • Uphold health and safety compliance, providing an inspiring and safe environment for fitness activities.
    • Support the rollout of new group exercise programs in P&Y, managing the implementation and ensuring successful integration within clubs.

    Performance Monitoring & Reporting

    • Track and report on key performance indicators, collaborating with the RGEM to ensure alignment with Virgin Active’s strategic goals.
    • Metrics include total access and utilization, class counts, attendance rates, occupancy levels, and capacity.
    • The role involves identifying underperforming clubs, locations, classes, and instructors, as well as managing quality control, hiring assessments, and training metrics such as workshops, refresher sessions, skills development, and qualification courses.

     Collaboration & Community Building

    • Build and sustain a vibrant fitness community by integrating group exercise programs into club activities and events.
    • Represent Virgin Active at local and national events, workshops, and promotional activities, showcasing expertise and driving member engagement.

    • Relevant tertiary fitness qualification in Pilates and or Yoga.
    • 3-5 years’ experience within the fitness or group exercise role
    • You are driven to achieve your own goals, and you love motivating others.
    • You leverage your life experience and charismatic personality to help members and instructors experience physical, mental, and emotional breakthrough moments.
    • Your confident and cool under pressure.
    • Confident in front of the camera.
    • Programme specific knowledge in Pilates & Yoga specialization
    • Flexibility to work a non-traditional schedule.

    Maintanance Operator

    Your Purpose...

    • To inspire people to live active lives shall be responsible for completing maintenance plans and tasks.
    • Assisting with maintenance administration.
    • The Maintenance Operator is hands on in their position completing maintenance plans and tasks, to the Regional standards and at all times delivering service excellence.

    Your Duties and Responsibilities...

    COMPLETING MAINTENANCE PLANS AND TASKS AS INSTRUCTED

    • Check job book, fitness checklist and open/close MOD checklist for faults.
    • Complete tasks from RAP sheet of brand standards and within time constraints.
    • Attend to breakdowns/incidents as required and within turn around time.
    • Receive instructions from daily meeting with Maintenance Technician/Manager.
    • Carry out preventative maintenance and service plans.
    • Be hands on in repair of all equipment, and premises (including outside of premises).
    • Complete daily tasks according to timelines and standards.
    • Work within all health & safety requirements.
    • Good general housekeeping.
    • Ensure cleanliness, hygienic, safe, tidy work areas.
    • Correct storage of tools, consumables and equipment.
    • To familiarise self with OSH Act.
    • To seek advice if unclear on the correct usage/storage of any equipment/consumable in terms of health & safety.

     Assisting with Maintenance Administration

    •  Complete stock control
    •  Monitor regularly used consumables
    • Report need for replacement to management.

    Assist with reports 

    • Complete pool logs.
    • Complete downtime reports.
    • Mark off completed tasks in job books.
    • Complete standard checklists for preventative maintenance.

    Personal Trainer

    Position Overview:

    • We are seeking a certified Personal Trainer to join our fitness team and provide personalized exercise programs to clients of all ages and fitness levels. The ideal candidate will have a passion for health and wellness, excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals.

    Key Responsibilities:

    • Conduct fitness assessments and develop customized exercise programs for clients based on their goals, preferences, and fitness level
    • Provide one-on-one or group training sessions to clients, demonstrating proper exercise techniques and ensuring safety at all times
    • Monitor clients' progress and adjust exercise programs as needed to help them reach their fitness goals
    • Educate clients on the importance of nutrition and lifestyle factors in achieving overall health and wellness
    • Maintain accurate client records and track progress towards fitness goals
    • Stay current on fitness trends, research, and industry best practices to continually improve training techniques and services
    • Participate in promotional events, workshops, and community outreach activities to attract new clients and build relationships within the fitness community

    Qualifications:

    • Certified Personal Trainer through a nationally recognized organization (e.g. NASM, ACSM, ACE)
    • CPR/AED certification
    • Previous experience working as a Personal Trainer preferred
    • Strong knowledge of exercise physiology, anatomy, and nutrition
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to motivate and inspire clients to achieve their fitness goals
    • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
    • Willingness to work flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, and weekends
