    Tourism Intern

    REMUNERATION: R84 000.00 PER ANNUM  
    REFERENCE: MLM/JD/TI

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

    • Grade 12
    • ND in Tourism/ Arts/ Hospitality or equivalent
    • Must be between ages 21 to 35 years.
    • Computer literate
    • Excellent Communication skills
    • Preference will be given to applicants within WMMLM area of jurisdiction

    KEY PERFOMANCE AREAS:

    • Undertake day to day visitor information centre management and administration;
    • Ensure marketing and promotion of WMMLM tourism products. Pondo craft and culture to tourists visiting the area;
    • Maintain statistical record of visitors and financial records of craft sales, compile and submit reports to LED office and ECPTA;
    • Assist in management of attendance registers of the life guards at Mzamba beach; and
    • Communicate with key stakeholders to request marketing material and source craft from Local and South Coast crafters.

    Senior Manager: Engineering Services

    REFERENCE: WMMLM/SMES  
    REMUNERATION: ALL INCLUSIVE REMUNERATION WILL BE PAID IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE DETERMINATION OF UPPER LIMITS ISSUED BY THE MINISTER OF COOPERATIVE GOVERNANCE & TRADITIONAL AFFAIRS, GOVERNMENT NOTICE 47538 OF 18 NOVEMBER 2022.

    REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12;
    • Bachelor of Science In Engineering / B-Tech, Engineering or equivalent,
    • 5 years' experience at middle management level, or as programme / project manager,
    • 3-4 years must be at professional/management level, engineering management experience
    • A Certificate of competence in Municipal Finance Management Programme will be an added advantage,
    • Proof of Registration with a recognized relevant Engineering professional body will be an added advantage,
    • Certificate of competency as required in terms of the General Machinery Regulations will be an added advantage
    • Financial and supply chain management competencies, as prescribed in the regulations and described in these guidelines,
    • A valid code 08 driver's license, and
    • Core managerial and occupational competencies, as described in the Municipal Performance Regulations issued in terms of the Municipal Systems Act.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

    • Manage complex civil infrastructure project from conceptualization, contract management, quality assurance and compliance, and ensure their proper integration to the local municipality's overall plan (IDP),
    • Perform financial monitoring through commissioning, operations and maintenance to ensure effective and efficient functioning of the department within the budgetary constraints of the municipality,
    • Manage the budget and assets assigned to the department,
    • Provide professional advisory services to the municipality,
    • Manage all the department's contracts in accordance with the signed SLA's, council requirements, ensuring adherence to the SLAs, terms of reference, letters of appointment and contracted project time lines,
    • Lead and direct staff in the department to ensure that they meet the objectives in line with the municipality's requirements and resources,
    • Provide advisory support on issues related to legislation, and
    • Ensure that projects reflected in the IDP are registered in accordance with MIG & CIDB requirements.

    Manager: Electricity Services

    TASK GRADE: 16
    REFERENCE: WMMLM/JD/MES
    REMUNERATION: R692 834.14 BASIC SALARY PER ANNUM

    MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

    • Grade 12;
    • National Diploma (NQF level 6)/B-Degree in Electrical Engineering (NQF level 7)
    • Must possess Trade Test Certification (NAMB) and Government Certificate of Competency (GCC)
    • Registration with ECSA will be an added advantage
    • 4-8 years' experience in the electrical services field, 3 years of which must be at a supervisory level;
    • Certification in Occupational Health and Safety will be an added advantage; and
    • Valid Code EB driver's license, and
    • Must have No criminal record.

    KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS:

    • Define immediate, short and long-term objectives/plans associated with the supply and maintenance of electricity to ensure critical performance indicators are identified and Here are the words from the picture:
    • specific measures are established to guide the unit to manage and prioritise outcomes accordingly ;
    • Manage the operating expenditure controls against approved budget allocations of the unit to ensure that projects are sufficiently funded and that the budget is utilised efficiently;
    • Manage and monitor contracts, agreements and contractual terms and obligations of service providers that are allocated to the section to certify that the agreed contractual conditions and responsibilities are adhered to and without risk to the Council;
    • Manage project plans for maintenance and construction by contractors and consultants to ensure that service delivery objectives are met;
    • Define the key performance indicators, job design and role boundaries of personnel against services delivery requirements;
    • Direct and control outcomes associated with productivity and performance of personnel within the unit by maintaining a conducive working environment, promoting and sustaining motivational levels and improving in the quality of life;
