    Location Planning Manager - Benoni, Gauteng

    Minimum Requirements:

    • 3-year degree/studying toward a post-grad degree (advantageous)
    • 8 years of relevant experience in supply chain retail (FMCG)
    • Bomm system knowledge
    • Understanding of DC operations/supply chain
    • Advanced Excel skills
    • Report writing (BI) - Business Intelligence
    • Strong supplier and negotiation skills

    Key Responsibilities:

    In-Stock Position Management:

    • Daily review of out-of-stock and low-stock items
    • Proactively address issues with suppliers
    • Analyze previous day's strike rates, identify root causes, and take necessary actions

    Stock Level Optimization:

    • Ensure optimal stock levels in the DC and linked stores
    • Review and address low stocks, out-of-stocks, and overstocks promptly

    Handling Discontinued and Slow-Moving Lines:

    • Daily review of stock reports
    • Collaborate with the team to resolve issues
    • Manage the exit plan for discontinued and slow-moving lines

    Monitoring Supplier and Store Strike Rates:

    • Regularly review inbound strike rates
    • Implement action plans to resolve problems in collaboration with the team

    Supplier Interactions (Returns & Uplifts):

    • Review reports and plan exit strategies
    • Collaborate with the team to implement strategies
    • Monitor interactions with suppliers until resolution

    Liaising with Product Planner and HOD Planning:

    • Review relevant reports to identify concerns
    • Conduct meetings to discuss and resolve stock-related issues

    Collaboration with DC Operations:

    • Regularly review feedback with the outbound logistics team
    • Identify and escalate non-compliant stores to store operations

    Highlighting Stock Adjustments and Ranging Issues:

    • Monthly meetings with buyers, suppliers, DC, and stores
    • Address and resolve ranging issues with the range department

    Management of Location Planners:

    • Conduct daily meetings for planning and organization
    • Provide leadership and control to ensure KPIs are met
    • Management of Inbound and Outbound Strike Rates at a Store Level:
    • Identify in-stock issues and facilitate resolutions

    • Provide leadership and control to address and resolve store queries

    Inbound Planner - Polokwane

    Minimum Requirements

    • Diploma in Supply Chain Management or equivalent qualification.
    • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a related logistics or supply chain role.
    • Proficiency in Bomm system operations.
    • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.
    • Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    Key Responsibilities:

    Prepare and Maintain Inbound Booking Schedules:

    • Update daily schedules by meticulously comparing data from the Bomm System to the existing schedule.
    • Monitor orders placed on the Bomm System to track deliveries and identify any gaps (NO GRV).
    • Analyze receiving invoices and promptly detect instances where no invoice exists, indicating undelivered stock.
    • Collaborate with the Demand Planner and Demand Planning Manager to escalate issues and, if necessary, involve the Buyer.
    • Initiate follow-ups with suppliers, ensuring accurate stock deliveries.
    • If needed, rebook stock deliveries to ensure seamless supply.

    Coordinate Supplier Deliveries for Operational Efficiency:

    • Monitor emails containing orders from demand planners, providing valuable insight into supply requirements.
    • Strategically plan deliveries considering promotional demands, store and RDC stock levels.
    • Collaborate with the Demand Planning team for scheduling discussions and alignment.
    • Validate product details such as quantity, size, packaging, and palletisation.
    • Confirm delivery dates with suppliers and share precise delivery times.
    • Maintain transparent communication with stakeholders regarding delivery schedule changes.
    • When required, reschedule deliveries to accommodate evolving needs.

    Manage Returns and Communication:

    • Receive information from the Outbound Manager about supplier returns.
    • Ensure clear communication with the supplier or third-party Transport Company about returns.
    • Effectively coordinate returns, especially when suppliers deliver additional orders to the DC.

    Inform Suppliers of DC Rules and Regulations:

    • Effectively communicate DC Rules & Regulations to suppliers.
    • Provide guidance on driver and crew attire.
    • Specify the type and size of palettes required at the DC.
    • Clarify delivery time frames and requirements, including staff and palletisation.

    DC Warehouse Manager - Polokwane

    Minimum Requirements

    Required Skills and Qualifications:

    • A minimum of 10 years of experience in logistics, preferably in a warehouse management role.
    • A Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) degree or a related field.
    • In-depth knowledge and experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including data analysis and reporting.
    • Strong understanding of warehouse operations, procedures, and best practices.
    • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage and optimize transport costs.
    • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
    • Attention to detail and strong analytical abilities.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • A proactive and solutions-oriented mindset.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Implement and maintain DC layout standards, ensuring optimal utilization of space and efficient workflows.
    • Develop and enforce procedures and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance in all warehouse operations.
    • Manage and optimize transport costs by coordinating inbound and outbound logistics.
    • Oversee the implementation and utilization of the Warehouse Management System (WMS) to enhance operational efficiency.
    • Manage all aspects of the warehouse, including inbound, put-away, replenishment, picking, and dispatch operations.
    • Ensure regular maintenance and servicing of warehouse equipment to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
    • Implement strategies to minimize shrinkage and effectively manage inventory accuracy.
    • Lead and motivate a team of warehouse staff, providing guidance, training, and performance management.
    • Maintain strict adherence to health and safety regulations and implement security measures to safeguard the warehouse and its contents.
